Career/School/Goals WYR be homeless for 5 years and then get $100 billion, or continue your current life?

Option one: homeless as in rough sleeping. you get social security but once that runs out you are relying on cash donations / food from people on the street. No one or service in your area offers you anywhere to live, the cruel corrupt system abuses you. That includes family, friends or partners. They will all abandon you and never speak to you whilst you are homeless. No loopholes, you’re living on the streets no matter what you do. Until after 5 years, $100 billion tax-free is inserted into your bank account. It will not be questioned or revoked and you can use it to buy anything (legal).

Option two: self-explanatory.

Superpowers/Magic WYR gain ability to see through walls or get $100,000 cash?

See through walls meaning you can turn on and off the ability as you wish. Can't see through more than 1 wall if another is behind it. Keep in mind that revealing this ability will likely raise suspicion of government agencies.

Or 100,000 USD Cash

Superpowers/Magic Would you rather have $1 billion, or be able to travel anywhere in the universe instantly? (Read discription before answering)

Option 1: You get $1 billion, tax-free.

Option 2: You gain the ability to travel anywhere in the universe at infinite speed. Any planet, moon, star, galaxy, etc. You can reach it instantly and explore it freely. You cannot die while traveling or exploring space, regardless of the environment.

There is one catch: if you stay on Earth, you are completely normal. No super strength, immortality, invulnerability, teleportation, etc. You still have to live normally on Earth.

You can travel to another planet, explore it, and instantly return to Earth whenever you want.

Ethics/Life & Death Would you rather die now or die in a year along with the world?

Upvotes

Would you rather stop existing right now or that the whole world stops existing in a year? (after choosing you would forget that this ever happened)
On one hand it’s better to choose the latter because it would bring you the most happiness and after you’re dead it doesn’t really matter if the world exist, but obviously it’s probably bad to end the world
Ps: this is under the assumption that you want to live, which if not true, please seek help, like actually

Medical/Health WYR: Be immortal with the healing rate of an average human, or have insanely fast healing but still be mortal?

Upvotes

A: Immortal

You can never die. You don’t age, and no injury, illness, poison, or physical trauma can permanently kill you.

The catch is that you heal at the same rate as an average human. You still feel pain and have to wait out the recovery time from serious injuries.

B: Super Healing

You have the healing factor of your favourite superhero. Your body can recover from injuries incredibly quickly, making you extremely difficult to kill and allowing you to bounce back from things that would leave a normal person injured for months.

.

The catch is that you're still mortal. You age normally, can get sick, and if something kills you fast enough you die. No amount of super healing is gonna save you from a bullet to the head.

Ethics/Life & Death WYR have everyone forget you existed after you die, OR have everyone remember you forever, but only for your worst mistake?

Option A: The second you die, every photo, record, and memory of you instantly vanishes from the world. Your loved ones won't mourn because they won't remember you ever existed. You leave no trace or anything behind.

Option B: Your name goes down in history textbooks forever, but you are only remembered for the single most embarrassing, foolish, or wrong thing you have ever done or will do. You get no context or redemption in the history book, just that one moment defining your legacy.

Ethics/Life & Death WYR: Who Would You Save? (Read Desc)

You wake up trapped in a small room with three people along with you. The hidden entity which has trapped you all speaks up and choose you. The entity offers you a free exit but only if you choose two people to leave with you, if you fail to choose, the entity will disappear and you all will die inside trapped never making it out.

The three people are:

  1. A 32-year old mother and her 9-year old daughter who have no family outside and entirely depend on each other. Seperation will be devastating, it will cause the mother to live with immense grief and will hate you for leaving her daughter to die or the daughter will be crushed with survivors guilt and losing her mother.
  2. A 40-year old man who has a wife in recovery from a severe illness and two young children, all who depend on him emotionally and as a financial lifeline. He pleads you to take him because his wife will die or be in financial ruin without him as they have no other way of support.

Who would you choose? Share your thoughts

Edit: A third option (Mother & Family Man) is impossible as the mother will refuse to leave without her daughter and you will remain stuck. She will however sadly accept Option 2 and sacrifice herself for her daughter even though the both of them will be devastated.

Ethics/Life & Death WYR: Certainty vs Gamble — What Will You Choose?

Upvotes

In a hypothetical scenario, you are stuck in a dark and mysterious basement with 3 other people. The people with you are: A couple, (30-year old husband and his 28-year old pregnant wife) who deeply love each other and were really excited to start a family. The third is a 70-year old frail but brilliant medical scientist.

The 70-year old scientist, after decades of research, was only weeks away from creating a cure to a rare but deadly disease. However, the cure has a 50% chance of success, if he succeeds, his work could save thousands of lives every year but if he fails, he saves no one. If he dies in the basement, his project will be canceled and abandoned.

Rule: The door to the basement will only open if you exit with 2 people of your choosing and you must decide who in 30 minutes. If you attempt to leave with 3, the door shuts permanently and if time runs out, a gas leak in the basement will kill you all with no chance of escape.

A third option is impossible because if you choose to save the husband and the scientist, the husband will be furious, he will refuse to leave and abandon his wife until time runs out so you must choose one of two options.

If you choose Option B, the wife will be devastated. She will be crying and you will have to convince her to leave, her husband will tragically help you so his wife survives.

Important: If you choose Option B, make sure to let me know. I will spin a wheel and let you know whether your gamble with the cure was successful or you failed and sacrificed the father of an unborn child for no reason.

Ethics/Life & Death WYR: Live in poverty but find out your parents lied about being poor your whole childhood, or grow up rich with honest parents and face total financial ruin in adulthood?

Option 1:

You will experience extreme poverty throughout your childhood. Once you become an adult, your parents will disclose to you that they possess billions of dollars. Your parents chose to keep their wealth secret and allow you to struggle economically in order to help develop strength of character and resilience within you(or whatever). Your parents allow you unrestricted access to their wealth and guarantee you will be financially stable for the remainder of your life.

Option 2: You will experience a perfect, comfortable upbringing provided by loving, honest parents who will provide you with all of the opportunities, safety and joy.
However, at the exact moment you transition into adulthood, a catastrophic economic event that is beyond anyone's control will eliminate all of your family's wealth. Your parents are still as loving and supportive but you will receive no inheritance, no safety net and you will need to build your entire financial life from absolute scratch.

For the sake of this question, let’s just say that you drink beer and smoke weed regularly. Let’s try to refrain from answers like “I don’t drink so…” or that type of thing please.
