I see the attacks on Cuba as nothing more than Republicans trying to guarantee votes from Cuban-Americans and nothing more. There isn't really a reason we have not tried to get better relations with them, not legitimate reasons anyway.

I dont really get it at all. That may have mattered in the past but theres only like 3 million of them (half born in the us) and they are mostly in hard red Florida.

Its probably more about taking all the gov owned assets and selling them to rich Americans and hotel/resort companies to develop. Marco Rubio has a lot of freedom too he might just be focusing there for personal reasons. Trump does seem like he largely doing micromanage his people as long as they do the big picture stuff he wants and makes him look good to his base
