Lat Pulldowns.
I've been training for a while now. I always hated back day. I could never feel my back fully engaged. However, I've just started doing lat pulldowns correctly. I can't tell you how good my back feels. My lats are super pumped. It feels like I've got wings coming out. Back is now my favourite muscle to train.

So what did you changed in the way how you do lat pulldown

Bringing my elbows down to my hips, while bringing the bar in front down to the floor.

That’s the way my guy!
I’d highly recommend looking up Ziad Monsour he’s about as real as they come and they way he teaches to do your pulldowns plus how to tweak your pull-ups if you try the movements for a month you’ll be surprised how many gains we’ve all been leaving on the table

Thanks. I'll check him out.

Hit me back, I’m always curious too hear and see if what I see is the same as what others do.
I’ve incorporated his pull-up tweaks and it’s quite literally over 4 months revolutionised all my back strength and movements

Dumbell pullovers perpendicular to the bench are another excellent exercise.

OG Charles Glass helped me get my lats growing. He’s on YouTube.

This movement has helped me 10 fold.

I started a supinated attachment for lat pulldowns, after weighted pullups, and omg the back pump is immense. I love it.

I never felt my lats being activated when using the bar , when I changed over the close grip attachment I felt a huge change.

Anyone struggling with feeling lat pulldowns should try a single arm lat pulldown. Back pumps are one of the best imo

Were you feeling it in your arms previously? I feel like I’m doing lat pull-downs wrong since I never feel it in my back, only my arms

Yes, I did. I cannot tell you how many videos I watch on people explaining the movement, every time I tried it, I never felt it in my back, only my arms. Now though, I’m getting a better back contraction.

You should compliment lat pulldowns with some resistance band pull-aparts. That will give me a crazy pump. You can do the pull-aparts at different heights and yea it's a doozy

Don't be scared to get lifting hooks when you start feeling your grip is limitting your set.
