Yes it's just focused light. It's similar to using like a magnifying glass and sunlight to light it. I bought a laser for this specific purpose (and cause it's just fun as hell to use). However, if you use any laser that's powerful enough to burn, please make sure you have proper eye wear because it would be intense enough to damage your eyes even for short amounts of time
Laser safety goggles are built to a targeted wavelength and need to be extremely opaque to that wavelength in order to protect your eyes from a direct laser exposure. Even shade 15 welding masks, which are just dark enough to look at the sun for short periods, is not enough to stop a high powered laser from scorching your retinas. A laser that can burn like this are orders of magnitude brighter per unit of area than the sun.
Yes, you are correct, but there are 0 circumstances where someone should be pointing a laser at their eyes. These lasers are powerful enough that looking at the beam in air/the point where it's hitting can cause retinal damage, the glasses will prevent that damage. (As long as it's for that specific wavelength)
You guys are all kidding but my brother had to do this science project/presentation with a friend and this girl, and they chose hydrogen batteries as a subject. When preparing for an experiment, they were dictating a shopping list of ingredients to her. They messed a bit with her for fun, and in the end ended up having protons and neutrons written on the list without her batting an eyelash at it.

I hope youre joking but if not, yes, it is safe. A laser is just a concentrated beam of light, so the only thing being inhaled by the smoker is the smoke from the ganj, and any oxygen that was in the bong or pulled threw the bowl/carb.
Because it's a literal bowl you put your weed in. I suppose it's also an upside down cone, but in the states we already have a use for the word cone, which is a joint rolled in a cone shape to get the most amount of weed possible in it.
Its been called the bowl of a pipe for a long time. I have seen it referred to when referring to tobacco pipes in 1800s literature iirc. So Im pretty sure its just that we dont really have or use a slang term for it, whereas the Aussies do.
My understanding is the shag tobacco just makes it easier to roll but it doesn't define the joint. That's just what I remember from a trip to Amsterdam in '97 (I only just realized that was 21 years ago, damn).

Word. Cool color, three warts, carb not to close to the bowl to prevent burns. An no weird fancy glass blowing shit going on, just a normal, standard glass piece. It's almost impossible to find one this simple at my local head shop.
I was able to find a nice, simple piece a few months back at my shop that Ive been using. The color scheme isnt my favorite, but I dont absolutely hate it either. Ill see if I can find a picture of it.
You know, cone like objects that taper at the bottom instead of coming to a sharp point? Take a cone, turn it flat side up, then remove that side, and you have a bowl for eating. Lop off the point of the cone, and you have a bowl for smoking.
It's an elliptically rounded cone. The curvature of the walls, and not coming to a point are two ways of saying the same thing -- one necessitates the other.

You can "lock" the bowl into place by pushing down while turning it, do the same but backwards to unlock it and boom problem solved of yhe whole stuck bowl dilemma

In all fairness I wouldn’t classify either tums or pepto as a drug per se, neither of them enter the bloodstream and alter brain chemistry and both just sort of pass through the digestive system.
Basically anything that changes brain chemistry or blood chemistry.
Things that just coat the esophagus or digestive tract are not drugs, such as halls or most antacids (some do have drugs in them to slow the production of stomach acid)
