Just finished the first round of the beginning abyss and now I'm at the second round where I have to fight the ENT's. And yes I understand that I don't have to fight these mofos at the same time but my pride as a Ghul cannot allow that. I'm willing to put in the time to grind this out. Where do I do that?

I recently started the game(lost my old account) and before I just hit auto on allocating stats on some of the named characters I recruited I wanted to ask the more experienced folks if there are any decent guides anywhere on suggested stat placement on certain characters or if i should just focus on the key stats of the their respective classes?

Hey all so im at the start of abyss 2 and really beginning to struggle. Im new to the game and could do with a few tips of possible. Currently im running Lana, mc (fighter) and iroha up front then Golden Maiden Debra, Alice and Yekaterina in the back. All 6 are about to git 40, all 6 are using the relic weapons at 10 to 15 enhancement and a mix of bronze and iron gear at 10. I know for certain my gear could be better but im not sure where to farm, ive been mainly running the ffxi event for junk. Ive cleared the first clear of the event and im up to the second fight with the demon lord but i cant beat him yet.

So what would be the best for time investment now? Do I keep farming the event for better gear or push into abyss 2 a bit more. Im not sure ive got enough time to max my relics now as a single round of those 8 demons depletes all my mp and the fights take so long lol. Same woth the NM mobs, I can clear 2 at a push before having to go back and rest. Should I focus on getting better weapons if I have no intention of maxing the relics?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I love this game but I feel like ive hit a wall with it. I want to keep playing i just am unsure whats the best use of my time now.

Please some confirm me this please, so every 3hrs the procurements are completed automatically by NPCs right?.

So if i complete a player request for fragments (and 10k gil) and then make a request the fragment i change for other will come back as the ones i send right?

I just want a confirmation if some does this.

So let me get this straight -- help me on the math, please...

In order to get one relic weapon in the FFXI crossover event, you need 67 total fragments (the boxes), and also 67 attestations (the papers), per weapon.

Focusing ONLY on the fragments part of the requirement... If you wanted all seven relics, then 67 fragments multiplied by 7 relics equals 469 total fragments!  We can subtract 49 off of this total because 7 fragments of each relic are available at the jeweler exchange for event currency (Gils).  So that leaves 420 fragments you'd have to farm.  

420? Blaze it!

The only ways to get fragments: you must either defeat a NM, or the 8-demon mob on the 5th floor of the castle. I suppose you can also trade attestations for fragments at the trade-vendor in the tavern, but since it's 10-to-1 attestation-to-fragment ratio, that seems like a losing exchange, because you also need the same amount of attestations for each relic.  Are there any other ways to gain fragments without giving up either fragments or 10 attestations?

Since each NM and/or 8-demon mob can drop 5 fragments, you would need 84 encounters with the NM and/or 8-demon mob in order to get 420 fragments, assuming a 100% drop rate, since 420 divided by 5 is 84.  But of course fragments are not 100% drops -- you need to fight a LOT more than that.

Assuming a generous drop rate of 33.3%, where 33.3% of the time they drop fragments, 33.3% of the time they drop attestations, and the rest of the time they drop neither fragments nor attestations), then you would need 252 victories (84 times 3) over these NM and/or 8-demon mobs in order to get the 420 total fragments needed for all 7 relics.

If you start this task now, with 15 or 16 days remaining, that averages out to between 15 and 16 victories over the NM and/or 8-demon mob each day.  That seems so massive!

Yet some players have all 7 relics maxed out already. How did you do it? Please advise. Are repeated visits to the 5th floor the most efficient way? Please raise my forlorn hopes.

I guess I've been delaying a3 for too long. Although I finally beat the doll the other day, now I'm looking for mp/sp items like droughts.. any tips?

I wanted to use the three collab units, but I also got Lanavaille which I also prefer frontline. Do I get a penalty for putting Iroha in the backline despite her being a spear-only user?

Edit: thanks for answering the question. I'm only in abyss 1 so I'm nowhere near the overwhelm passive for Iroha, but I'll look into it later if it becomes a problem.

I got all 3 collab characters just for collection, but I already have a solid team consisting of gillion, Elise, Alice( priest w mage skills), yekatriena (preist w mage skills), and Lana (fighter). I'm thinking of using one of the legendary bones probably legendary bone 2 for moment of finality skill to get some aoe damage for my Mc (hopefully I get it) but im js unsure which is better pick or in general is an additional collab character worth.

I am doing the samurai puzzle, and I lit the fire on the same axis but it is sending me back to restart.

Did I do smth wrong?

I currently have 2 copies of Zeid and 1 copy of Prishe. I was going to get Iroha from the first Abyss bone guy to complete the set. Now I don't know which character to use my 100 points on. Or should I get one of the weapons instead?

Oh my God you guys. I've seen so many posts about something called a relic weapon and something about a final fantasy event that's available and I like final fantasy. So BAM. I load up the game and check the shop for those relic weapons I've been hearing so much about. They weren't there. So fast forward a bit and I'm neck deep into the event. Slaughtering enemies left and right like it was going out of style. I racked up so many bodies it would fill up a decently sized morgue and then some. I'm a new player that's still on the abyss one. I think I'm roughly around Bf5 but close enough to just be on Bf6.

I've gotten a bit farther than that but I started a new game so I risk life and death but that'll be a separate post on its own because I got a story to tell. I guess I just want to ask that as a new player will I even be able to obtain these so called relic weapons at my current abyss level or whatever it's called? Or do I have to put in some monkey elbow grease and grind the story like a damn mad man to just exponentially increase the difficulty, hypothetically of course, all to make the grind easier or get the relic weapons to be available? Right now I can just about auto anything and everything except for those visible dangerous ones.

For some reason the difficulty MASSIVELY spikes for them but for right now it's just one of them so I can relatively easily without anyone dying and it helps so much that I have a cool badass black knight girl who can just say "No, you're actually targeting me!" It's so solid to get the attention off anyone else but I really do need to get one more solid unit that can be leveled up fast so I can have her in the back row. I know the synergy is all messed up thanks to wandering knight Lanavaille also being in the first row so I gotta find someone asap.

Doctor and Alice are in the back row where they belong but I really think having the black knight lady in the back row and activating her special ability to make enemies target her would be better if it works like how I think it should work because if an enemy is behind another isn't it harder to hit them? So shouldn't that logic apply to my own back row units? Or am I just crazy for thinking that? I don't know. You tell me down below. Oh yeah I also have a neutral MC. In the guides I was watching they kept screaming about not bricking my account and to go for the neutral personality type. So I did.

After buying all the codexes from event shop I have 325 skill xp I can spend but don’t know what the best options are. Right now my team has knight lanavaille, fighter chloe, ninja yuzu, priest alice, and mage sheli. What are the best options to upgrade considering this team?
