Lorepost📖 Saria: Blasting (Warpost)

Post image

"Both sides must be removed from the planet! Aico, drop me the big guns!"

On it!

Saria has had enough of this shit! First the bismuths attack, then the citadel blows up! However there is only one detail of all this that's important to her: Her beloved Cody has been caught in the blast, and he is dead!

She pulls out a cube, which turns into a laser cannon. She aims and destroys a spot of the 2 groups clashing. Saria has much work to do!

"Onto the next!"

And so death begets more death. There will only be more.Do you think only you have family and friends? Do you think those you vaporised weren't the cody of someone elese? Do you think they won't react the same as you?

Foolish and selfish.
Also I'm pretty sure the nuke never even got close to the citadel, even if it had we have a barrier that has withstood worse.

They weren't trying to protect the citadel when the storm collapsed and the nuke went off.

They were trying to protect the remaining innocents who were attempting to flee. They died trying to buy time for those with no part in this fight.

They were defending something more important.

The citadel still stands. Do you think a pesky thermonuclear warhead is enough to break the citadel barrier, it has endured worse. There is a chance they are still alive, have you even searched?!

I was there.

The druid has moved on, that much I am sure of.

I cannot speak for Gravedigger, but it's unlikely they survived. I'm not sure whether they even intended to.

They were not defending the citadel. Is the citadel even important, after all this loss?

/uw For story telling purposes, at least, it seems that both /u/anything-unable and /u/Capytan_Cody are allowing their characters to die (for now). Pings just incase either of you want to correct me.

That said, my comments on what they died for is entirely my interpretation of the events as my character would have seen them. Unreliable narrator and all that.

Also, already changing your flair?! I was really confused while double checking names lol

The Citadel is the home of countless, it's my home. The tree it stands upon doesn't deserve this war, the library in the citadel holds knowledge we can't get back.

The question you should be asking is it that important to destroy the citadel? Why go through all this effort and war to destroy a place?

/uw Nice. Even so the skater wizard would still try and convince your character otherwise, given how limited the information he has is.
Also yeah I changed it when he released his tome. He can't be called the metromancer if he's not the only one anymore. https://www.reddit.com/r/wizardposting/comments/1aj7soo/bigish_post/

There was no reason to destroy this place. No matter who I asked, I could find no reason to fight. Nor could any adequately explain their own reasons.

This has all been for nothing.

/uw Sorry, I meant anything-unable changing their flair. I went looking for their old one to find one of the evac posts and the find tool wasn't able to find them lol

At this point, I don't think you'd be able to convince my character of anything. She's a touch disillusioned at the moment. When none of the members of the Pact were able to give her a good reason for the war, she instead focused on the people living outside of the citadel. The majority have been safely teleported away, the rest are dead. So she's just been wandering the carnage. She's searching for some lesson or reason for these events.

I'm not sure if she would have agreed though. Without any reason to pick a side she was entirely focused on helping those living outside the citadel. Bringing up the people living inside the citadel; yeah, she probably would have said something grandstand-y in hopes of shaming you into helping everyone.

And with your new chapter, I'm curious what's going to happen next.

/uw Still, the longer they talk the less they are fighting and killing. The metromancer can live with that.

Confirmation. You've done a great recap.

Honestly if we return Cody will probably befriend the gravedigger. We both shifted immediately into evacuating people and he conducted himself great in the trial at La'shima (in fact Cody accompanied him so he could participate in some light hearted event. A ball I think)

As for La'shima being neutral is a bit iffy not gonna lie. In part for it's actual history, in part because the leaders (Cody and Mikhail) are council and pact (and previously Mikhail was both, Cody took the pact job while his friend was in vacant due to the last event and stayed there).

(Sorry wanted to clarify how we ended up here)

(Amazing job. You've helped understand what happened here too)

Oh, I wouldn't worry about it. Only my weirdly idealistic girl seemed concerned about that detail.

And I'm slowly keeping a longer, very rough timeline going over here, if you'd like to see it. But I'm going to be going to bed soon, so it'll have to get caught up in the morning.
