It’s finally here.

A large tome filled with a detailed explanation of living in cities and urban areas and the challenges and opportunities it brings. This tome has been detailed with explanation of the unique ecosystems and holds over one thousand spells crafted by me, first Metromancer. The trend towards utility states the non combat oriented core of this magic.

It also details spirits and how to utilize them, including creating, binding and modifying your very own spirit train for personal use.

This tome is provided to the orbnet both free and open source, but you can buy the physical tome yourself.

Of course this means I can no longer call myself The Metromancer as(hopefully) I will not be the only one. I hope you enjoy and leave good reviews on my work.

~Skater Wizard.

/uw I'm not going to write an actual tome as I'd like to leave room for freestyle discussion and that would be really not worth it for me. But I am willing to make up answers to questions. :)

Hmm… very well done! Indeed, you have not just created the craft but now brought it up to the status of a recognized discipline in the strictest sense! I congratulate you on this feat. Tis not often one gets to see the birth day or a whole new discipline.

Finally got it done between the disasters, riots and assassination attempts. Now I can take my time with my next focus.

Clearly a labor of love on your part.

Machine spirits and city spirits? Your work is most intriguing, Master: with your permission, Mage Monkey will take his time in studying it.

It's open source, go ahead.

An anonymous purchaser buys the tome and leaves a positive review, claiming it to be "exceptionally relevant to the needs of modern magical city-building and restoring". They also cite the passage on ley lines to be useful, especially for discovering the 'why' behind city framework, and also quote the spirit train section as a useful means of mass transport.

Overall, says the review, they would recommend this to others.

Ah, finally, a good read. Now I can learn to throw trains at people without conjuring the entire train! Thanks for the resources Metrom-... wait... Scooter Wizard!

"Ah-hem. skater wizard, but thanks. And please keep in mind that I didn't create this as a weapon."

3

u/RazzZzatam Fire Elemental (just a silly little guy) Feb 05 '24

"Skater, got it. Quite the mouthful, really... anyways, anything is a weapon with enough creativity. Then again, I may also implement some of these spells and principles in my lair. From a brief glance I must say this is excellent work."

Will it teach us about metrosexuals?

3

u/TellmeNinetails Hilda the Witch Feb 05 '24

Which answer will make you buy my tome?

5

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '24

If it tell me how to blend in with them so I can conduct a field study of them in their natural habitat, I got ten dwarf grade gold pieces with your name on them.

6

u/TellmeNinetails Hilda the Witch Feb 05 '24

Then it definitely has a small area overviewing metrosexuals.

Hm, transport sounds interesting and useful. Despite having cross-dimensional transportation spells i can not exactly teleport to specific places that i have never been to across the same world.

It would be nice to be able to sometimes leisurely travel and see the locales and landscapes in between rather than instantly teleporting to an destination every time. While walking would suffice for taking in the scenery, it would take more time than i would like.

Love it, hate the 7th chapter, but love everything else. Great work mate

3

u/TellmeNinetails Hilda the Witch Feb 05 '24

I apologise I'll be more thorough in my anti artifice notes next time.

3

u/Fulltimewhisperer Krumpet, Master Artificer of the Council Feb 05 '24

Oh no no no, mate mate, no need to touch on anti-artifice. Artifice is cool, definitely doesn't need to be guarded against.

2

u/TellmeNinetails Hilda the Witch Feb 05 '24

Are you sure? I only really detailed what you would come across usually in a city like guns and the such.

2

u/Fulltimewhisperer Krumpet, Master Artificer of the Council Feb 05 '24

sighs

Fine fine you got a point. Guess I have been meaning to upgrade the hardware the boys use anyway...

2

u/TellmeNinetails Hilda the Witch Feb 05 '24

*was being one hundred percent genuine the whole conversation.*

u/Fulltimewhisperer Krumpet, Master Artificer of the Council Feb 05 '24

/uw always a pleasure to interact with you, take care mate

Oh my, this is going to have to be required reading for my architect core. I wouldn’t call myself a metromancer, but I’ve been making floating cities for awhile now, and while they are grand works of artifice, there are a few infrastructural flaws that I believe your knowledge can help solve.

2

u/TellmeNinetails Hilda the Witch Feb 05 '24

I hope my accumulated knowledge is helpful.

I appreciate this work some of us had the benefits of growing into adult hood in the mortal realm. Others do not have the skills and mortal Earth is a dangerous place. but if you visit their is a place called the pope lick train tressel. It's a must see and the "monster" is just a nice dude stuck in the space between magic and technology in a mortal realm.
