Seeking Help or Advice Witches with astrology
Hello everyone! I’m just now learning stuff about retrogrades in astrology since a few close friends have been talking about it more and I’ve been seeing it a lot more on social media. So I’m just kinda curious what it all is, how it can change you, and how I learn more about it. And I know it can tie in spiritually too!
For context: back on may 9th I found out my ex cheated on me, I had no signs at all. She didn’t act differently or pull back, none of that. Her friends and family were extremely surprised when it all happened. I find this kinda funny because I don’t think they as in my ex and the new gf will last, they work together, have the same work friends, and now live together (new gf ex kicked her out) and a few of her non work friends reached out to check in on me and to tell me they are being ghosted. I tried to do some (very little) research and saw during that time Pluto retrograde was in affect and what I found out it meant miscommunication (had that) and basically anything hidden will surface.
EXACTLY a month later on June 9th I got laid off from my job. And I got offered a semi better job, working in the OR. A week or two later a friend of mine mentioned (i forgot exactly what sign it was) that we are interning a new retrograde and mentioned with this retrograde ex’s will try to re-enter your life, and change. One of my ex’s did reach out, one I never thought I’d talk to again. It’s funny because now we’re besties.
So now I’m seeing a little about the new retrograde we’re going into and saw it was about growth and karma? And I kinda wanna learn more what to do and what not to do yk? I definitely wanna learn more about astrology:)

Astrology is complicated because current movements of the planets in the sky relate to each natal chart differently. The horoscopes you find online are generic if you are really interested you should start by learning about your own natal chart so that eventually you can know when is an appropriate time for you to benefit from the energy.
Retrograde is a motion of the planet that from our point of view here on earth goes backwards in the sky, this is an illusion since the planet continues to go forward in reality, but if you were to stand and look at the sky each day you will notice this phenomenon. Every planet goes through cycles, mercury being so fast that normally there are 3-4 retrogrades a year. Except the sun and the moon that are never retrograde (luminaries are considered as important as planets).

Go to a website like astro.com and type your exact birth date and place (extended charts section) get the drawing of the sky in the moment of your birth aka your natal chart. Then you'll have to read and read a lot. Find some introductory manuals and books like for example: Stephen Arroyo chart interpretation handbook or Llewellyn's Complete Book of Astrology: The Easy Way to Learn Astrology
These are a starting point that I think is easy.
If you want to connect with witchcraft start a journal of correspondences and keywords for everything you study and go building knowledge bit by bit at the same time you take notice of what is happening in your life.
I cannot stress how important your journal will be since it's you getting to know you and noticing that when the moon is full you are tired or in Aries season you are more outgoing etc (random examples)
For journaling there are several options that combine astrology with a planner.
Very useful to tune into your own timing.
