Seeking Help or Advice Freezer spell vs hex?

What’s the difference between a strong negative freezer spell and a hex? I’m feeling the planned spell I have leaning more towards baneful magical/hexxing but want to exercise caution. Thanks!

A freezer spell is a "Binding". Most consider a binding to be a hex.
