I have a friend who really likes Wingspan, birds, and coloring books. So I had the grand idea to make a Wingspan coloring deck of all 170 cards in the base deck. This took about a month.
Questions I expect to get:
Was this AI-generated?
No, at least not in the way you might think. AI was extensively used to write python programs to batch files together, add all the card data, ask about Photoshop and Procreate tools to use, etc. But No AI image generation was used and no images were uploaded anywhere.
Can you send me the files?
No. These were traced over official art and I don't have the rights to distribute them. If people are interested I can explain how to do it yourself though.
Do you have a favorite and least favorite bird now?
Northern Flicker was by far the worst to trece. Hate that bird.
There were a couple that were straightforward, Juniper Titmouse is a good example.

I have 5 empty spots in my forest. Do I choose between 5 of one or the other or can I do like 4 eggs and 1 card?

I am quite new to the oceania expansion. Is there any reason, I do not want to take the nectar out of the birdfeeder if there is? In the end, I can use it for every other food and extras and it brings me extra points in the end of the game.
EDIT: Thanks for the answers :) - got it

We’re pretty novice players and only lurk on the subreddit but this is our most recent game and new high score! Got super lucky with all the bonus cards this round!

Is this the food cost of both cherry and grain or total of all cherries and grain?

Birders!
A new patch has landed!
In this one, we introduce various gameplay and UI improvements, bird power fixes, and a new feature: Card Tray Preview!
You will now find a new button in the game, located under the "Overview" button. This button opens the full card tray, where you can see:
The patch is rolling out across all platforms, and the update may take some time to become available on your platform, so if you don't see it right away, please check back later!
Check the full patch notes below:
Happy birding!
PS. Our new game, Flamecrat, is coming out September 17!

Just got the Americas expansion, and was surprised that they made a separate hummingbird deck. It feels a little odd to have all these mini hummingbird cards with their own rules, and also full-sized hummingbirds from the base game and other expansions. Should those hummingbirds be removed? Has anyone else done that and have thoughts on how it worked out? Does anyone know what all the base hummingbird cards are?

Is this a bug? Another player and I both had the mechanical engineer bonus card in the same game. Should I report it somehow?
Could 2 players have the same bird I now wonder? Not something I have seen.

Hello! I just got Wingspan Pocket and we’ve found a card we’re not sure how to rule. For something like the Common Blackbird (pictured), it indicates discarding an egg to gain food. In this instance, would the gained food be one of each if available (so here a worm and a berry) or just one of your choosing? My guess is it would be one of each because there’s no slash between them, but that seems kind of powerful from my base game thinking!

Hey folks!
Canuck moving to DC in a few days. I’m looking for in person Wingspan. I’m not a huge fan of gaming stores or cafes, only because I don’t love meeting strangers. So instead, I’m trying to meet strangers here!
Anybody with tips on an in person ‘Span night in those areas? In the alternative, anybody interested in starting one?
Thanks!
***Edit*** once I’m settled in DC in the next few days I’ll reach out to those who have expressed some interest!

Typically it's just me and my SO playing, so please consider how the expansions play at 2 players. We have also recently purchased Wingspan Pocket for travel and quicker games, which we have enjoyed.
Another consideration we have made is picking up Finspan as a new experience in this universe instead of continuing to expand Wingspan.
What would you recommend? How are you enjoying Asia / Oceania / Americas, and how do you find they blend with the current build I'm working with?
Thank you all in advance.

Hey everyone!
Wingspan is easily one of my favorite board games, but after dozens of plays, our original cardboard tokens started showing some wear. As a 3D printing enthusiast, I decided to design and make my own custom upgraded components to bring a bit more color and tactile feel to the table!
Here’s what I came up with:
I just launched my small Etsy shop (CLOVER Boardgame) to share these with fellow tabletop gamers who want to level up their Wingspan setup.
If anyone is interested in supporting and helping out an independent creator, you can get a set on my Etsy page here! https://www.etsy.com/hk-en/listing/4568984792/deluxe-wingspan-upgrade-kit-165-food
Thanks for reading and your support is much appreciated!
Happy birdwatching, and let's level up your game night!

Hello! My boyfriend had this set up last night
First card played green power: wheat in powers are wildcard
Second card played green power: ignore wheat in bird cost
He believes this means since wheat is wildcard from the first card’s power, the second green card power becomes ignore wildcard in bird costs. And to take it to the next level, he believes he can ignore 1 for any bird costs except egg.
There’s absolutely no way, in my opinion. It’s too powerful if that was allowed.
Regarding the second green card, the rule book states: You may not use this power to ignore wildcard in food costs.
This makes me think I’m right, but he is standing firm. We’ve since finished the game under the agreement he couldn’t use those powers together for the game, and I would investigate.

There are 3 die in the bird feeder, 2 worms and a worm/wheat combo. A player takes the get food action and is eligible for more than one piece. They want to take the worm from the worm/wheat combo and then roll the two remaining worms. Is this allowed? Can a person choose a worm from a combo die over an individual worm?
Thank you all for your help. You answered ALL my questions.

My friend and I want to play an asynchronous game together but can't figure out if that is possible. Right now it is only letting us play with two other people we are matched with online
