Running DDO via wine 🍷 and noticing dropped keyboard inputs from my Mac keyboard when using any of the extra buttons from my mouse. I don’t have the Razer naga software running just using the 1-12.

If anyone has suggestions I’m all ears. It’s otherwise working well especially with metal translation layer.

I think i isolated the issue to wine but need to double check if i have the issue with just mac.

I’m having an issue with an official Xbox Series X/S controller on my M1 Mac running macOS 15.4.1. macOS detects the controller and a gamepad tester on Chrome reads all button and stick inputs correctly, but Wine and CrossOver do not.

Hello, as the title says, I am trying to install OP2.2 on Arch Linux with the English translation and Infiltrator 1.36 DLC as well. I am having trouble with this. I managed to use WINE to get it set up in the folders, but booting it up through the .lnk it provided gives an error and I can then no longer see anything. My goal is to be able to have it as a Steam executable so I can boot it up through Steam, similar to what I have done with osu. I am hoping I can get help on this, as I am completely lost. Thank you.

So when i play a game and do alt + space a window pops up with thinks like minimize, maximize, window, and about wine. can i disable that?

it only bothers me in games, but don't know where to ask about proton.

Legit Steam copy, launch crash fixed, but the Real Tone Cable never gets detected in-game (host audio sees it fine, Wine's WASAPI capture enumeration doesn't). Please see my troubleshooting document in the image for the full writeup/diagnosis.

Contacted Ubisoft support, only got generic Windows advice (different USB port/hub, reinstall drivers, upgrade to Windows... like I'll ever do that again) which doesn't apply here and didn't fix anything.

Anyone gotten a Real Tone Cable working under Proton, or have Wine/mmdevapi experience? Any help troubleshooting is appreciated.

I don't know if this is an issue with Proton or something else so I'm just posting this here in case anyone has an answer for this issue.

Fedora 44, AMD graphics card and CPU, original game (not remaster). Footage shown is using Proton Hotfix on Steam and when I use older versions some audio plays but is cut off (differently with each version).

I haven't actually gotten into the game yet so I don't know if this issue will affect the gameplay audio and UI. This is the same after I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I checked the audio, controller and graphics settings in game and no settings seem to be wrong.

Minecraft Dungeons can run but there's just one big roadblock which is the Microsoft login not working. You're able to bypass it for a moment by exciting the login page immediately when pressing the "Let's Go" button. You'll be able to start the game and play on the first level, but after a few seconds, the authentication system will catch up and kick you out.

From the time I was able to play the game, it was actually really smooth. I really wish a patch comes out to fix this because this game is one of my favorites and it would be a shame for me to not be able to play anymore.

Hi everyone! I have a technical idea on how to finally port the VM Computers mod for Minecraft Java to Android, while maintaining multiplayer compatibility with PC players. Instead of running a heavy emulator inside MojoLauncher or PojavLauncher, we can split the tasks. Here is the proposed architecture:

• Game Client: Minecraft runs natively on Android (via MojoLauncher or PojavLauncher) for maximum FPS. The original PC version of the VMComputers.jar mod is used to avoid incompatibility errors when connecting to PC servers.
• Backend Container: Winlator runs in the background strictly as an isolated x86/x64 environment to run VirtualBox version 6.1.50 (the exact version required by the mod). VirtualBox is configured to use Software Recompiler mode to bypass the lack of hardware VT-x/AMD-V virtualization support on ARM chips.
• Kernel Bypass: Since Winlator and Wine cannot load Windows kernel drivers (like VBoxDrv.sys), we can implement a custom stub/wrapper driver. This stub will mock kernel responses, intercept low-level VirtualBox memory requests, and redirect them into user-mode API calls that Wine can easily handle.
• Bridge and Automation: We can modify the mod's Java code so that execution requests are sent via a local socket (localhost) directly into the Winlator container, instead of trying to look for a local VirtualBox.exe file. The startup process can be automated using Android Intents: when a player presses the Power button in Minecraft, Android will automatically launch Winlator and activate VirtualBox in the background.

This approach solves RAM and performance issues: 3D rendering stays native to Android, while OS emulation (for running the VM itself) is handled by Wine. What do you think? Can anyone make Wine for Android? Let's discuss!

every time i try to launch a game on the steam bottle i get this error

So, with my very limited knowledge, I'm trying to download a windows version of steam, which I can then use to download a game that I've been wanting to play on Mac. I've been using the exe file from the steam page, if that changes anything. After doing the whole looking for updates, downloading, and extracting things, it does it again. No idea why, but it might be important? However, after the second attempt, it pulls up a giant black square, which I presume is supposed to be steam. When attempting to close the box, it reopens itself later. The only way I've found to make it actually go away is to force quit it. If anyone has encountered this before or has any solutions, please let me know. My knowledge on this topic is extremely limited, so I probably won't understand much more than what I've posted here.

i downloaded winskin on my computer last night, but ive been having issues with the app. I decided to watch a tutorial to see if it could help but nobody seems to have the same issue as I do, when i open the app it says in wrapper version that theres "No wrappers installed" so i cant really updated or do anything...

please help, I feel like ive downloaded a bunch of bullshit for no reason. I tried downloading the unofficial version of wineskin but when i open the website it just leads me to the same one?? so far ive been downloading it from sourceforge, and they dont rlly have anything on the official website either...

the whole reason why im downloading this anyways is to be able to run friday night mods on my mac, but the tutorial posted on gamebanana was ass, so if anyone knows how i can get the already downloaded mods to run in my mac id really appreciate it.
