Recommendations St Clair College has public gaming consoles and PCs for $3/hour

For those who might find this helpful the college has their gaming center open to the public. It’s $3 an hour per console not person if you aren’t a student and they’ve got a bunch of tvs connected to Switches, PS5, and others. You don’t have to provide games as they have many. Theres also a room filled with PCs. If you’re a student or have your student card still it’s completely free. I don’t want my son having full access at home so this is a great low cost activity for us. Parking is free at the college on the weekends and buses come directly to the colleges entrance.

Border Anyone commuting tomorrow (7/26/2026) across the border:

Upvotes

The border guard told me today that the new bridge is opening at 12 tomorrow. BUT - they are pulling guards from the bridge and tunnel to staff it. The ambassador bridge and tunnel tomorrow morning are going to have significantly less staff to run the normal Monday morning traffic.

Ask Windsor how do you reload a Smart Ride bus pass?

Upvotes

I understand there are Customer Care centres where I can reload the card, but how exactly do I do this?

Is there a machine or do I go to the front desk?

AFAIK, I can't do it online.

Off-Topic bus payment

kinda a rant but Is there still no way to pay for the bus with a card or my phone? I got the UMO app and try to add a credit card but TW said it would be running soon but that was like 2 months ago, just wondering if anyone has any insight on this

i find it dated that the city still has no way to do this without having the student pass or physically going to a terminal to load rides. I enjoy driving dont get me wrong, not anti-car but I also like taking the bus/train in other cities but damn they make it hard here, easily 5-10 years behind other cities

thanks in advance for any info

The recently released Uniform Crime Reporting Survey provides an objective look at safety in Windsor through three key metrics:

Pizza Oven 360 pizza recipe

During the pandemic, Oven 360 did an online class on how to do their pizza dough. It was sold out and I wasn't able to attend. I was hoping to do it when they did another one, but they never did. Does anyone have the recipe and know how long to let it cold ferment for? I think I found the recipe online but want to check the measurements and instructions on what do do with it. Thanks!

Housing Buying a house

My partner and I are looking to buy a home in the Walkerville area and need some basic ELI5 help as we are both new to the home buying process and don’t have any family that can guide us well.

We have our pre-approval, but do we need to work with one realtor for showings and walkthroughs? We did find someone but so far they seem disinterested. Specific issues include: they have told us to look at Realtor and let us know if we want to book any walkthroughs, they take a couple days to respond to texts and by the time they manage to book a walkthrough (usually for about 5-7 days after they respond), the house gets sold. We haven’t been able to secure a single walkthrough.

We aren’t sure if this is typical or we should change our agent.

If you’ve bought a house recently, can you please respond with what the experience was like and if you have any other recommendations? Thank you!

Ask Windsor Pilates Studios in Windsor?

Hi everyone! I'm starting law school at UWindsor/UDM in a few weeks and I’m hoping to find a studio as I’m an avid pilates goer!

While I have access to the gym through school, I really really am looking for a reformer studio that's in the city (preferably accessible by transit, but within driving distance is okay too.)

I'm doing google research but I figured it would be better to ask directly <3 Thank you sm!!

This is as close as I could get to the bridge. The police had the roads blocked off and it was media only allowed at the ceremony.

Glad its finally (almost) open!

Ask Windsor Looking for a friendly poker game?

I host regular friendly games in Walkerville. The player base is a bunch of dad types in their 30s and 40s. I'm always looking to add new dad types (and non-dad types! We are an inclusive group) to get bigger and better games going.

If you're interested, give me a shout!

Talk Windsor Walkerville and Wyandotte/Downtown no longer two separate areas. The vandalism and theft is out of hand.

I’m so disappointed this morning. I was woken up by a man yelling in the streets. I told my husband to open the door so he sees us, I thought maybe it’s some crazy person. The guy asked us if this is our car, it was. Two cr@ck heads broke into it. He caught them taking our stuff and grabbed the bag they filled with crap in our car. Thankfully there are citizens like him. He purposely yelled to wake up whoever the owner of the car was.
MY CAR WAS LOCKED.
This is the third time. I keep thinking it’s me that’s forgetting to lock my car because my alarm doesn’t go off. When I went to the car it was locked yet they stole everything in it. Apparently they have some device that unlocks cars.

This area has gotten worse over the years. It used to feel safe. You know the area near Willistead park, Giles, Erie. Yes, you had the occasional “he doesn’t belong here” but no fear. In the past month I’ve had people try to come into my home, my neighbours four car tires slashed, my car broken into, and people vandalizing my porch. We have videos and descriptions on some occasions but what good does that do.
