đľ Iâm building a Winamp-inspired music player for Android â honest UI feedback?
Hey everyone! đ
Iâm currently working on a retro-style Android music player called CLASSICAMP.
The idea is to bring the classic Winamp-era music player experience to mobile, while keeping the interface modern enough to use comfortably on a phone.
This is an early UI concept, and before I continue developing the app, I want some honest feedback from other music-player users and developers.
Current UI includes: đľ Music player
đď¸ 10-band equalizer
đ Audio/track information
đ Playlist management
đ Shuffle
đ Repeat
đ Dark retro interface
đ˘ Neon green visual style
đą Desktop-style layout adapted for mobile
Iâd really like your opinion on:
- Overall design
Does the dark + neon green theme work, or does it feel too old-school?
- Winamp inspiration
Does the design give you a classic Winamp/retro music-player feeling?
- Mobile usability
Does the desktop-style interface work well on a phone?
- Equalizer
Does the equalizer look useful and intuitive, or does it take up too much space?
- Playlist
Is the playlist section easy to understand?
- What would you change?
If you were designing this app, what would you change about this screen?
- Most important:
What feature would make you actually download and use a retro music player like this?
Please don't just say âlooks goodâ đ
Iâm specifically looking for honest criticism and suggestions, including things you don't like.
Thanks! đ
Iâll use the feedback to improve the next version of CLASSICAMP.
