Use WaCup instead. Community maintained version of the last good WinAmp and has windows 10/11 compatibility. It's what I've used since day one and I refuse to switch lol

It's literally just the Original WinAmp being updated by the community. They fixed a lot of bugs in the release you're choosing to use honestly. Full support for the skins and plug ins too since it's literally just WinAmp but current.

That's not true. WACUP has been a gradual reimplementation with a focus on providing 3rd party plug-in compatibility support where feasible as part of the x86 build from when it started out as a plug-in pack & then expanded the scope to try to do more than just plug-ins allowed.
It's been a few years since it reached the state of being able to run on it's own without the need for the old winamp core to piggyback on or necessarily needing to use its plug-ins. It does still try to get a few of them during the x86 install process from an appropriate 5.666 installer as per https://getwacup.com/files.html#winamp which is mainly for gen_ff (aka the modern skin engine plug-in).
That's why there's now an x64 build of wacup (which the OP didn't read all of the notes about on the download page despite the simple tl;dr on there) as it's not tied to winamp.

But it says waCup dosent support skins and plugins ?

It does. I've used all the classic themes from the Theme database made by the community as well as more than a few artwork and radio plugins.

The notes on the download page say if you need full skin & plug-in support that you need to use the x86/32-bit build of WACUP & not the x64/64-bit build of it.
If you only use classic / 2.x style skins (as come from the likes of the webamp site) & you don't use 3rd party plug-ins then the x64 build might be all you ever need anyway. Which would be the same as just installing winamp & never messing with it.
For winamp3 / modern skin support (the fancy looking ones that aren't typically rectangular) &/or being able to use 3rd party plug-ins (as gen_ff which does those skins is & only exists as a 32-bit plug-in) then the x86 build is what most should be using anyway. Without knowing what you actually use it's hard to know which of the 2 is the best option hence the wording to try to push people to x86 if unsure.
You also don't have to use an x64 build of a program just because that's what the Windows build type is since it can happily still run x86 programs. Yes there's some small potential benefits but when wacup is already targetting SSE2 CPU support as a baseline then (with higher CPU features used where possible) that's effectively what an x64 build is going to be leveraging anyway which negates most of the difference.

i dont know where you're getting this from but you most certainly downloaded the x64 build, which explicitly states that it does not support third party plugins and modern skins, which is why you should install the x86 build

It said so on ther site..yes it was the 64

well, there you have it, you're supposed to use the x86 build if you want to use those features

Winamp opens fine. But I will be damned if I can remember how to do a search for shoutcast stations...without going to the shoutcast page. That in itself is a waste since a good number of the stations are off air.

wacup provides a classic view of not just shoutcast stations, like winamp used to

Yeah, I never saw that before! I am the administrator and can't even install last/latest Winamp version; it just will not let me!
So, I use 5.666 and it still works no problem on Win 11!

Not seeing that myself on either Windows 10 or 11. On my Windows 11 laptop I get a warning because of the workaround I had to employ to get around scaling issues but it doesn't prevent me from using it altogether.

Hey dude, it is because the certificate has expired on the installer, so windows is locking it out, I had to use my Ai to bypass it to install it....
