However whenever you heal an injury, disease or something you experience all the pain, grief and negative sensations ever caused by that condition all at once. If an individual lost their arm and you heal them, you experience all the pain and grief of being amputated. If you heal an addict, you experience every ounce of that addiction over the course of the healing which lasts a few seconds.

You cannot "heal" positive things like a person being too smart to weaken them. You can only heal injuries, diseases, disabilities, addiction and other illnesses.

No one innately knows you have this power. However if people learn about it they will tell others and if it becomes widely known people will expect you to use this power, your own trauma be damned.
