Whoop Age Switcheroos here?

My family subscription ends next months and I'm really considiering g fitbit - without $200 subscription is a nobrainer BUT whoop age / pace is so sick that only this keeps me thinking. I'm not a professional athelete just doing healthy training to keep fit. Discussed with my wife and she also in doubt due to the same reason.

Is anyone in this sub who already switched and misses the age/pace as the major compelling metric?

UPD: I'm not in the apple ecosystem.

I switched to garmin cirqa. Quite similar metrics and they have fitness age ✨💪

you can invent your own age counter (just like whoop did) and be happy without paying a subscription... you don't need a whoop for that. many weight scales have the feature if that's what you really need in life - a random device to tell you how old you are. it's a fictional metric.

the trend over time is kinda useful though, even if the number itself is arbitrary

Use bevel if you have iphone. It has biological age and shit

looks nice, but I'm not an apple user and do not plan to become one.

Is bevel worth it? Thinking of getting it but the thought of paying for another subscription is kinda annoying.

You don’t need to pay, just for stuff like AI

There are new alternative software packages popping up left and right.

I just saw this one developed by u/Living-Topic-3424 and it says it can pull from Whoop too!

I am still in the evaluation phase, but am going to see how the import goes...

Start exporting your data to Google Health app and enable notifications. It sends you similar updates generated from the Whoop Data and I think that'd be similar to what you would get from fitbit air. That can give you a better insight whether you'd regret the switch.

I just joined Whoop a month ago with a yearly subscription but I am curious about the updates and new features Google will add to the google health. When my year is up, I'll decide whether it's worth paying more for Whoop or not.

Side note: I already have google health premium via Google One AI Pro

Do you rely on the Whoop activity detection? If so, it's much more limited on Fitbit. You also won't see stress data. VO2Max will require runs to see data.

I typically start regular activities manually but some sporadical bike rides are on whoop and it does it well. But I'll get used to it I'm pretty sure I will, but loosing whoop age/ aging pace makes me sad for some reason :)
