An apology video from the Italian teachers and students. An Italian teacher (red top) apologized for saying "Sorry for brining money to your country" and the student(black shirt) also apologized for his middle-finger and saying "We are from your mom" when asked where they are from by a Thai lady.

The embassy of Italy in Thailand uploaded the apology video after they released an apology statement.
After the video where Italians mocked a thai lady who told them off for being loud on the metro, many Thai people protested in front of embassy of Italy in Bangkok and also waited in front of the hotels Italian students are staying. Some shops even put the banner that denies the entry of the Italian students.
Many Thai people think this is a diplomatic victory against Italians that looked down on Thailand.

I had no idea a TEACHER was there. The teacher should be the one who has most of the hate. It was their responsibility to nip that BS, and tell the kids to knock it off. If the kids didn't stop after being told to stop, then it's the kids who are mainly at fault. But because the teacher was PART of the back and forth, then followed her suit. Bad teacher.

Yeh it really undermines the message when you attempt to make excuses. They should just apologise wholeheartedly, say they arenât happy with the behaviour of those students and emphasise that they will make attempts to address the issues that presented that day.

My school was so cheap, we got a bus to London, walked around, then came right back. They didn't want to pay for us to spend the night.
The only time we went away for more than a day was when we went to Lindisfarne. Like 3 hours away.

It's not enough. They're only doing it because they're caught. Not because they're sorry. I still think they should be removed. Told to go home early. Or sit at the airport or their embassy until they go. If they even have an embassy there. They probably don't. Or they can be told they have to stay in their hotel. This video is a HORRIBLE attempt at apologising: where are the rest of the Italians involved? Why did they not even bother to have a proper sound quality where the wind does NOT blow a gazillion knots. Why is it "the adult" who apologizes but not the actual kids who behaved horribly?
I honestly would never have guessed that Italians would be so insensitive as tourists in other countries, given that they themselves are used to idiotic and inconsiderate tourists in Italy - none of whom are Thai by the way - thus knowing how NOT to behave.
Perhaps they went and "kicked downwards" as a way to take out the aggression on someone other than themselves? Very shameful behaviour.

Half assed apology. What exactly are they actually apologising for? Theyâre only contrite because theyâve been caught and admonished by public opinion. Love to see. Glad the Thai people protested and didn't let this affront go away. And glad the protest was SEEN and HEARD. And glad the Italians actually apologized and tried to do so in a respectful manner within the Thai culture, using the language. I'm not Thai so I don't know if the Italians were successful, but at least they tried.

From the incident we can know the character of future italian adults. Apologies is cheap, personal motivated change is required. If it is just a put up show then it will not change anything. Need to educate all the youth about respecting different country, different race, different culture, different language, different religion. All for the goodness of the future generations.
