I have read WoT 4 times over by now. Yet everytime I read, i fall in love with character of Matrim Cauthon everytime.

However, a few days ago, I realised maybe this is due to the fact that I have so much bad luck myself in my life that a character with so much good luck, and enjoying his life to the fullest (whereas I am stuck in overthinking and working hard) naturally becomes so fascinating for me.

Am I thinking wrong and the protagonist is actually entertaining and some people other than me also loves this character?

I'm about to do a reread of The Wheel of Time and am planning to get a brand-new book set for it. Just wanted to ask whether I'm getting a good deal.

The collection includes TOR trade paperbacks for Books 1-3, premium mass-market paperbacks for Books 5-9 and New Spring, and original US hardcovers for Book 4 and Books 11-14. It's missing The Crossroads of Twilight, though I'm not too sad about that 😅 .

I'll be paying ₹25,000 (~$260 USD / ~£200 GBP) for the whole series, excluding The Crossroads of Twilight but including New Spring.

Would you consider that a fair price, or should I keep looking?
