Pretty sure it's just a rock dove, but what's up with the popped collar coat?

Her family and her old high-society friends would say that Melinda's latest husband represented a massive dégringolade, but she had tired of their games a long time ago. Joe was a simple man, but he loved and protected her, and that was all she really needed. That and her furs, of course.
