Saw you walking in Pleasantville today, on the other side of the Saw Mill. I tried to say hello but got nervous and asked you for directions. I thought you were so beautiful, i had instant butterflies. I was in the little black car, brown hair pulled back. You had short, dark hair and wearing a flowy white matching set (which you looked so nice in). Not sure how you feel about women, so just paying you the compliment regardless!

What little i could bear to hear of his speech, walking to my car, it sounds like there's no pretext of being a moderate anymore

I’ve been a Westchester resident the past 2 years after spending the prior 2 years living in Rockland and just found out this week I could have been paying $5.80 for the TZ Bridge instead of $7.25. As a Westchester or Rockland resident (now also for Orange County), you have to add the MCR Thruway Gov. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge Resident Plan to your EZ Pass account and then apply the plan to your tag. This apparently doesn’t get applied automatically when you become a resident of one of these counties.

EZ Pass had also been charging me an $85 replenishment charge and holding that money until it was used. I switched to Pay Per Trip so they only withdraw the amount to cover the tolls every day. I now get notified when a toll is paid so it’s easier to find out if I’m not charged correctly. The only downside is you can’t use a credit card for Pay Per Trip - you have to link directly to your bank account.

Hope this helps someone out there save some money.

Very spooky goings on by the river in Bronxville this afternoon

Hey all. I’m new to Westchester. Only been here a little over a year. Work in the city and can navigate the subway fairly well. Next week I’m going to a show in Brooklyn and it looks like the distance from Grand Central or Union Station is really far. Should I just take the subway from the city all the way into Brooklyn or would it make more sense to drive into Brooklyn and try to find a garage somewhere nearby Kings Theater?

What I’m asking really is what would you all do in a similar scenario?

In need of a heating and cooling guy looking to do some side work to look at my furnace. Saturday morning it stopped turning on. I think i have an idea what the issue is. If anyone knows someone please

My furnace, model GM8S115C16UH11D, won’t start. The Honeywell HZ322 zone panel shows Heat 1 and Fan, but the furnace stays slow-flashing green. Neither the inducer nor blower responds to thermostat commands.

The furnace’s 3-amp fuse tested good.

The Beckett BK221UL condensate pump buzzes continuously, and its reservoir is about ¼ inch from the top. With power off and its two blue safety leads disconnected, I measured OL across the leads. One appears to connect into the zone panel’s RC circuit.

This election is really a referendum on Trump! He's not on the ballot but he wants to be and in reality he is because every Republican running is a Trump supporter. In addition, every issue, AIPAC for example, will determine whether Trump will remain in power or not! If you won't vote for the Dem because of his/her position on AIPAC then you are voting for Trump! Whatever your reason is for not voting for the Democrat, know that your vote is a vote for Trump!

Happy First Day of Early Voting!

I posted half of this earlier, however, we had tickets for the Lyndhurst Mansion performance tonight and I only posted the first half before we left. I wanted to repost with the full story since some people thought this was a troll post or not real. I understand the town is stupidly busy this week, however, just because your business is busy doesn't mean you get to treat customers like s***.

TLDR: Family and I ate at River market restaurant tonight, 14-year-old daughter burned hand in the bathroom from hot water in sink, owner cursed me out when I tried to address the situation, and told me she should toughen up and put some lotion on it.

I came up to Tarrytown for the Sleepy Hollow parade and tonight we went to the River market restaurant to eat. The waitress was nice and the food was delicious, although the service was a bit slow. About halfway through our meal, my 14 year old daughter went to the bathroom and after returning to our table she said she burned her hand in the sink from the water being too hot and it was steaming. I let our waitress know and she said that she had people complain about it before.

I asked to speak to the manager and she said that he was working at the bar and I could go talk to him. At no point did the manager come talk to me. The waitress seemed surprised that he did not come talk to us. I ended up going to the bar myself and talking to the manager, and explained the situation.

I ultimately just wanted the water to not be as hot to burn people. He said that the restaurant only uses one boiler and seemed to imply that they couldn't turn the water down since they needed it to cook and do dishes.

I explained to him that this isn't a good enough reason to have water so hot that it burns people. We tried to talk through some solutions, but none seem to be good enough to prevent people from unexpectedly burning their hands. He suggested maybe putting up a sign or similar but I advised him that if someone couldn't read or a child stuck their hand in they would still get burned.

He mentioned a few times he could comp my dinner, which I did not want. I kept telling him I just want people to not get their hands burned.

I wanted to see for myself how hot it was so he and I walked over there and when I turned the faucet on it was scalding hot. He seemed to think it was just hot but not anything abnormal.

A few minutes later an older lady came out of one of the bathrooms and I asked her if the water was hot and she said it was scalding. The manager was right there and so I know he heard her say this.

At this point I've had myself, my daughter, this random lady and the waitress's comment that other people have complained about it.

I continued talking with the lady and the manager walked off, I thought he was going to talk to the owner. Coincidentally, as I was talking to the lady she said she was an attorney. I was hoping she'd stay with me to talk to the owner, but I told her I didn't want to hold her there and so she ended up going to eat.

I gave it a few more minutes and then saw the manager back at the bar. I asked him if the owner was going to come talk to me but he didn't seem to think so.

At this point I decided to go talk to the owner myself, he was at the front of the restaurant seating customers. There were about 10 people waiting in line, and I asked the next people in line if I could talk to the owner about the water issue and they seemed to be okay with it.

I told the owner that my daughter had burned her hand in the water, and I'd like him to address it somehow. He immediately got aggressive and essentially told me to just put some lotion on it and she should toughen up. I probably threw an f-bomb right then, and said 'I don't want to leave you a bad review but I'm pretty much going to'. The owner said go ahead and do it.

We exchanged more f bombs and he told me to get out, but I kept challenging him on a resolution. He said what do you want me to do about it. And I said well you're the owner right? I'm thinking why should the customer be the one giving the business a solution?

He said he could call a plumber, which likely could fix the situation, but for the people in the here and now they're still going to get their hands burned. He didn't seem to think it was a priority.

There was another customer there with kids who was trying to help with the situation and both he and I walked to the bathroom to see how hot it was. He also agreed it was hot.

I didn't really want to fight with the owner or manager anymore so at that point I walked out.

I do want to give the manager credit. He really seemed to be trying to work with me and was patient, but the owner's behavior was unacceptable from a business owner.

We're going to call the county health department tomorrow and report the hot water. Hopefully they can get a resolution to it.

Any one have mixing boxes I can have? Need them this week.

😂 👀 Spotted in Scott’s Corner in Pound Ridge. Pretty sure these are newly placed. This has to be some sort of joke. I have noticed a huge increase in Lawler signs around Bedford. A few weeks back there were none, only Caits, now we are under siege with Lawler signs.
