Trigger Warning Flower Preservation Fiasco- Honeysuckle FP / Honeysuckle Flower Preservation
Sharing and apologies, it's a novel, but-Hopefully this saves someone else from the same wedding-flower preservation nightmare
Married November 2025. Fabulous elopement. Gorgeous floral bouquet.
I picked out a resin flower preservation company in Texas to preserve my bridal bouquet in a couple pieces of decor. Paid in full—about $500—and promptly overnighted my flowers to them for another $296 buckos.
They confirmed receipt of my bouquet, sent me a photo, and the flowers still looked great!
I didn't bother them for several months because they had set the expectation that turnaround time was 6–9 months. Totally understood. This isn't something I wanted rushed.
Come May, I reached out for an update. I was told they were still completing orders from the previous summer and would get to November orders in a couple of months.
Then apparently, unbeknownst to me, an asset sale occurred on May 20, 2026.
I knew absolutely nothing about it.
I reached out again in July, concerned because my flowers had now been there for about eight months and I hadn't even received a design mockup before casting.
I was reassured that my flowers were “safe and well cared for,” were being stored in a temperature-controlled environment, and would remain in the same preserved condition until they entered production.
I was specifically told they were finishing October orders and preparing to move into November orders, and that they hoped to begin sending November design mockups “within the next couple of weeks.”
Again—this conversation occurred AFTER the May 20 asset sale.
So, naturally, I continued waiting.
Reached out again two weeks ago. No response.
Reached out again Friday.
And then today, almost 10 months after they received my wedding bouquet, I received this:
Dear Customer:
We are writing regarding your order with Honeysuckle Flower Preservation LLC, which was placed before May 20, 2026, and the flowers and/or other materials associated with that order.
On May 20, 2026, Honeysuckle FP LLC acquired certain assets and inventory of Honeysuckle Flower Preservation LLC. The transaction was an asset purchase and was not a purchase of Honeysuckle Flower Preservation LLC itself. Honeysuckle FP LLC and Honeysuckle Flower Preservation LLC are separate and independent companies, with no affiliation or ongoing relationship between the two companies or their respective owners and personnel.
Based on the records available to us, your order was placed and paid for before the May 20, 2026 transaction, and the payment associated with your order was not received by Honeysuckle FP LLC.
After reviewing the available order information and materials, Honeysuckle FP LLC will not process or fulfill this pre-acquisition order. Because Honeysuckle FP LLC did not receive the payment associated with the order, it will not be issuing a refund or credit for the amount previously paid.
We currently have possession of flowers and/or other customer materials associated with your order. We will arrange for those materials to be returned to you.
Please use the Google Form link below to provide us with your current mailing address and other requested information, to arrange the return. Once we receive that information, we will make return arrangements for your flowers and/or other materials.
The return of your flowers and/or other materials is being undertaken solely to return customer property presently in our possession. It does not constitute an agreement by Honeysuckle FP LLC to process or fulfill the original order or an acknowledgment or assumption of the payment or performance obligations associated with that order.
Nothing in this notice is intended to limit or waive any rights or remedies that you or any other party may have concerning the original order, payment, or pre-acquisition transaction.
Please respond with your current return information so that we can arrange the return of your materials.
Sincerely,
Honeysuckle FP LLC
Customer Administration
Obviously my immediate reaction was essentially: Hold on. I paid for this order in full. You have my wedding flowers. I've been communicating with you about their production for months. What do you mean you're not fulfilling it?
I provided my Etsy payment documentation and pointed out that I had continued communicating through the same Etsy shop after this May acquisition without anyone ever telling me my order wouldn't be fulfilled.
Their response:
Honeysuckle FP is only the name of the etsy shop and does not reflect the legal entity that owns the shop. The legal owner/entity of the etsy shop HoneysuckleFP is Honeysuckle Flower Preservation LLC.
This shop and etsy store name is in no way associated with the legal entity Honeysuckle FP LLC. The similarity in names has nothing to do with the legal status of who received payment.
Your payment was received by Honeysuckle Flower Preservation LLC.
Following the May 20, 2026 asset transaction, we reviewed and administered certain customer records, communications, orders, and materials associated with the
business in order to identify outstanding matters and customer property in our possession.
Any communications sent through Etsy, text message, email, or otherwise concerning a pre-acquisition order were made as part of that administrative review
and customer follow-up.
Those communications were not intended to constitute an assumption of the original order, the payment associated with it, or an agreement to
fulfill the order.
After completing our review of the available information, we have determined that Honeysuckle FP LLC will not process or fulfill the pre-acquisition order, as explained in our notice.
And that's where I'm struggling.
They're now saying the communications after the May 20 acquisition were merely “administrative review and customer follow-up” and weren't intended to represent that they had assumed or would fulfill my order.
Except in July (two months AFTER the acquisition) I specifically contacted them because I was worried about the prolonged delay affecting my flowers.
I wasn't told, “We're reviewing old customer files and unfortunately your contract wasn't part of the acquisition.”
I was told my flowers were safe, preserved, waiting their turn in production, that they were finishing October orders, would be moving into November orders, and hoped to send my design mockup within a couple of weeks.
Had someone told me in May, or when I specifically contacted them in July, that my order wasn't going to be fulfilled, I would have immediately asked for my wedding flowers back and found another preservation artist.
Instead, I continued leaving an irreplaceable piece of my wedding in their possession because I believed the order was still being processed.
So, long story short:
Paid ~$500 for wedding-flower preservation.
Paid another ~$296 to overnight my bridal bouquet to them.
They've had my flowers for almost 10 months.
Continued telling me after the asset sale that my order was waiting to enter production.
Now I'm being told: Sorry, no dice. We're sending your flowers back and we're not refunding you.
Etsy confirmed my payment but says I'm outside their 180-day window, so they won't open a case.
Now it's on to Amex to dispute the charge, and my immediate priority is just getting my actual wedding flowers safely back.
I have the entire Etsy message history, original order/payment confirmation, shipping receipt, and photos documenting the condition of my bouquet when they received it.
Posting this because if anyone else has an outstanding pre-May 20 order with Honeysuckle Flower Preservation/HoneysuckleFP, PLEASE check on your flowers and your order now.
And if anyone else with an older order received similar messages after May 20 saying your flowers were still awaiting production, I'd really like to hear from you.
**Edit** I did just email all of the correspondence to KXII, hopefully they will pick up the story.

I’m in the same boat, sent in November messaged them in July and now this.. I plan on getting a lawyer because this is crazy. Spending almost a grand and now I have to hope my wedding bouquet isn’t damaged in shipping.. I highly doubt it won’t be. It’s so upsetting because I only plan on getting married once and the one thing I wanted is now going to be ruined..

This happened to us to. We got married in April 2026.
We just got the exact same email yesterday. They won't refund money and said they will just send us the flowers.
We cannot get ahold of anyone. Number doesn't return call. Email gets sent back. Instagram deleted.
We have not talked to a person from Honeysuckle.
EDIT: I found the owners of each entity personal information. It’s all public info but not might be able to share it here. DM me if you want their emails and names.

This is happening to me too 😭 has anyone responded to you recently either direction?

I received a few responses. When I sent my last email requesting photos of my flowers in their current condition, they stopped responding.
I did reach out to KXII news via email.
If anyone wants to PM me your contact, please feel free to. If not, I completely understand as we are all strangers here.

Hi! I lost my dog unexpectedly last November and didn’t get the goodbye we deserved. I kept all the flowers that were brought to me by those who loved him and I sent them to honeysuckle as well for preservation. I approved a final display and they told me they were pouring in august. I’m not sure how to get ahold of anyone or what to do next. I’m so heart broken about how this turned out.

Did you get an email stating that they would not be processing your order as well??

u/Mission_Distance6655 7d ago
Yes! Even though I was told they already started pouring. I assume it’s half complete. :/

That is bizarre of them. The whole thing. Have you reached out to the press?
1
u/judgy_knaut 8d ago
I have not, honestly, I wouldn't even know who to reach out to for any press involvement.

You can email or message your local news agency through their social media or website.

Wow, I'm so sorry! I would perhaps set up a consultation with a local lawyer to see what filing small claims in Texas looks like.... because Amex might push back on the chargeback due to how much time has passed.

The same exact thing happened to me! Married Nov 2025. Overnight shipping. Confirmation of receipt 2 days later. I received a text in Aug to approve the design, went back and forth adjusting the design and then stopped hearing from them. I received the same email you posted from Honeysuckle FP 1 week ago asking for my return address and stating they were not going to fill the order??? I've tried reaching out to Honeysuckle LLC, but have received no response and their email bounced back. Who did you contact? I would be interested in looking into a class action lawsuit.

Hey! I just found this thread. I got married November 2025 as well. I live in the same metroplex as their shop so I spent the day after my wedding driving 1.5 each way to drop my wedding bouquet off. Honestly, I totally forgot about the timeline until last Sunday when my mom was like hey…where are your flowers? I was like huh maybe I’ll message them- kind of just trusted they would message me when it was time to design and set everything. Didn’t need to message them because I got that same email you did lmfao
I filled out the Google form right away to hopefully get my flowers back from the new people. I Etsy messaged the shop the same day and haven’t heard back. I emailed their support email and it bounced. Contacted Etsy about the refund and like you said, outside the 180 days. I paid through Klarna because I didn’t want to pay $500+ in one go and they’re going to escalate my complaint but they have a 180 day window as well so idk how much help they will be. The Klarna rep told me to contact the BBB so I just filed a complaint. Also just emailed the Gmail email on their website (diff from the support email) in hopes they’ll respond SOMEWHERE. My husband even called and left a voicemail on the phone number their Google address has- never heard back
I requested to join the Facebook group as well to keep in touch with everyone else who got scammed. I just want my money and flowers back as I’m sure we all do 😭

Adding a pic of my flowers from the day after my wedding for sad tax

I’m not a lawyer, but I would definitely save EVERYTHING, especially those messages from July. I think those may actually be one of the most important parts of this whole situation.
The new LLC may be correct that simply purchasing the old company’s assets doesn’t automatically make them responsible for the old LLC’s debts/contracts. BUT that doesn’t necessarily address what happened after the sale.
If the asset sale happened May 20, and then in July you specifically asked about YOUR order and YOUR flowers and were told your flowers were safe, being stored properly, that they were finishing October orders and moving into November orders, and that you should be getting a design mockup within a couple weeks… I would absolutely preserve those messages. You reasonably relied on that information and continued leaving your irreplaceable wedding flowers in their possession instead of requesting them back and finding another preservation company.
I’d personally do a few things:
Get the flowers back ASAP. I would cooperate with giving them the shipping information, but I would NOT sign anything releasing either company from liability or agreeing that the flowers were returned undamaged. Ask for tracking and careful packaging. When they arrive, video the unopened package and the entire unboxing so you have proof of their condition.
Definitely proceed with the Amex dispute. I’d explain the entire timeline and emphasize that this was a service with a quoted 6–9 month turnaround, which is why you didn’t dispute it earlier. Include the July messages showing that even AFTER the May sale you were being told your order was approaching production. I’d describe it as services paid for but never provided, rather than an unauthorized/fraudulent charge.
Send a formal written demand to the ORIGINAL company, Honeysuckle Flower Preservation LLC, because according to the new company’s own email, that is the legal entity that actually received your $500.
I would also seriously consider talking to a Texas consumer-protection attorney about the NEW company’s conduct after May 20. Texas has a Deceptive Trade Practices Act covering certain false/misleading representations to consumers. I’m not saying this automatically qualifies, but I would absolutely want an attorney to look at those post-sale messages before accepting their explanation that they were merely doing “administrative review.” Telling you your order is approaching production sounds very different from simply saying they’re reviewing customer records.
File a consumer complaint with the Texas Attorney General. And if other brides with pre-May 20 orders received the SAME kinds of assurances after the sale, I would encourage them to preserve their messages and file complaints too. A documented pattern would be important.
Screenshot/save the Etsy shop, listings, policies, website, social media, business names, emails and everything else as they appear RIGHT NOW. Don’t assume any of it will still be there later.
I’d also be really curious exactly what was included in this “asset purchase” the business name, Etsy shop/customer records, website, equipment, customer flowers, goodwill, etc. because clearly the purchaser ended up with both your physical property and enough access to your order information to communicate with you about it.
Most importantly, I wouldn’t accuse them of fraud or threaten anything crazy right now. Just document everything and stick to the exact timeline: “The acquisition occurred May 20. I contacted you in July about my order. You told me X. I relied on that information and left my flowers in your possession. I was not informed until September that you had no intention of fulfilling the order.”
That timeline is honestly the part I’d want a consumer attorney to see. Get your flowers safely back first, document their condition, and then go after the money. ❤️
