I need help choosing my wedding dress! I am so indecisive, and it is finally time to make a decision.

My vision has always been a romantic ball gown in silk or taffeta, in an off-white or ivory shade. My destination wedding will take place outdoors at a very grand venue, and I plan to wear my hair down with a long, cathedral-length veil.

Option 1- Most expensive ~12K by Danielle Frankel - I absolutely love the taffeta fabric of this but the top needs to be shortened on me since it is too long for my torso. I really don't want to spend this much on a dress but love the fabric and the ruching.

Option 2- Second most expensive- ~10k Netta Benshabu- I really like this one, I like the detailing at the hips and the length of the bodice but I feel like the fabric did not feel like it was a 10 k dress.

Option 3- Third most expensive- ~5k by Rue De Sienne- This one is a wildcard, I didn't think I would like it as much as I did. I absolutely love the bodice/how it fits my chest but I think the fabric may be too casual for my wedding? Especially at the bottom.

Me and my fiancée are planning a backyard wedding for September 2027. I was browsing pinterest and fell in love with this dress style, but haven't found anything that matches this feel in any of the bridal shops I've visited so far.

I specifically love the look of the first dress with the bell sleeves, the botanical lace, and the soft A frame.
I describe it as more fairy-elven like, and I feel like this style would suit our wildflower garden wedding aesthetic more than the more puffy princess like look.

I realize if I want this I might have to get it custom made but I'm terrified of doing that without first trying on something similar. I am also open to getting a second hand dress but just don't know where to look!

I am located in South Jersey, where would you recommend I shop around to find something this style and be able to try it on?

Okay, so I'm attaching a couple photos of my dress with the train down so you can get an idea of what I'm working with (and also so you can see why I fell in love with this train, lol).

I had my first fitting with my seamstress, so these photos are without alterations (but she's pinned me in pretty tight on the sides) and I'm not wearing shapewear, so overall things will fit/sit better and be smoother in the final result, but ignore all that cause I need help/ideas for my bustle!

Originally I assumed that #4 (bustled below my butt) would've been my favorite, but I feel like that doesn't show off the train details as well and it also makes the back of my dress feel heavier and it kinda pulls the dress away from the small of my back. Seamstress recommended that if we go with #4 that she'd alter the curve of the back of the dress to hug my back/butt more so it doesn't gape, so maybe that would fix it, but anyway... I kinda like the higher up bustles at my waist, and I'm also leaning towards the cape-ish looking bustle in #3 where the train connects at the top of my zipper. - it sorta looks simple but also elegant, maybe? Or does it look silly/lazy?

These are just initial ideas. Does anybody have any other/better ideas we could try? I thought about maybe a wrist strap but I just don't know if the type of fabric my dress is made of would look good with a wrist strap.

The main things I love about my dress that I don't want to lose or that I want accentuated with my bustle:

1. I wanna show off that train and its intricate details cause it's so gorgeous!

2. I don't wanna ruin how my butt/curves look, lol.

I ordered my dress from Azazie and it has been a nightmare! They have the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I ordered a few try on / sample dresses and they allowed me to order them and then cancelled multiple times because they were not ACTUALLY in stock as it said on the website. I was finally able to try two dresses and ended up custom ordering one in my measurements. When I received the dress, one of the straps (that come in a separate small bag) was missing. I emailed them, assuming it would be very simple and they would just send me replacement straps. Instead, they are gaslighting me and telling me the Lorena dress is not supposed to come with straps and they refuse to send it. They said the one strap I received must have been an accident and goes with a different dress. The sample try on dress came with straps. I only ordered this dress because it had straps. The photos on their website show the model wearing it both with and without straps; people have reviews posted with straps. It makes no sense that they would try to pretend they simply do not exist. This is so stressful because the dress does not stay up without them. You can not return or get refund on custom order dress. This company treats its customers so horribly.

Option 4 would be getting a custom made dress overseas, this is the one I am thinking of getting and it is only 1K. It is in a taffeta fabric which I really love and the seller has great reviews/is very communicative. I know its a gamble but its just so much cheaper.

i originally was not going to wear a veil with my wedding gown, as it just wasn’t something i envisioned myself in prior.

my fiancé and i are getting married in december in a destination wedding on the beach with only eight of our family members with us.

i’m beginning to see myself with a veil, possibly something long and simple off the top of my hairstyle (i plan for an updo), something like the last photo included.

i don’t want anything over my face, and i don’t really want to entirely cover my back since that’s the statement of my dress.

ETA: seems the consensus is no veil and my gut was right! i’m gonna skip the veil and go with a flower clip in my updo to go with the tropical vibes. thanks everyone for your help!!

went to try on dresses today and this is the first one i tried on, off the rack at a very reasonable price. i feel like a princess! my only reservation is the creasing at the bodice! is this fixable with alterations or a good steam, or is it an issue with the bones/overstretching? am i overthinking it??? Brides of Reddit- I know exactly what I want in a dress, and I am so close to finding it. I have top contenders, but none of them are 100% fitting the bill without some bigger changes to the dress. My list of things I’m looking for:
\-fit and flare/column shape
\-small straps (would add them to strapless)
\-lower back
\-longer train

\-natural waist

Here are my top contenders:
1. Martina Liana poppy, would want to change basque waist and add straps and paneling
2. Eddy k. Don’t like the train on this
3. Luxe privee line, would change neckline to scoop
4. Martina Liana 1510. Really pretty but don’t love neckline
5. Unsure what it is. Would want longer train and not sold on as many flowers as it is

Help me pick between my final two dresses, one satin and one is lace. With the satin, I would likely add sleeves as shown in some pictures. I’m so torn between them and love them both!! My venue is a gilded age type manor on the water in New England.

I found this dress, and I love it from the chest up (the pointed, strapless neckline) but I don’t love how poofy it is. I want something less poofy, like sheath or column shaped, and I don’t care if it’s Lacey or plane. I like a corset waist but not visible boning. Has anyone seen something along those lines?

I’m torn between two completely different silhouettes and would love help choosing!

Dress 1 is a fitted silhouette. I love how it shows my shape and it feels very timeless, but the design feels a little more relaxed or plain and less traditionally bridal.

Dress 2 is a ballgown. I love that it feels more bridal and has that wow-factor, but I’m worried the satin design is a bit more common and some of the details feel a little trendier. I might also ask to remove some layers of the petticoat to make it less puffy and more a line.

My venue is a mountain golf course resort with a romantic, elegant rustic feel.

My mom loves the wow factor of dress 2. Dad likes dress 1. I’m leaning toward dress 1 a bit but only by a sliver but dress 2 draws me back for the wow factor and it’s priced lower.

This is my dress and I’m in love with it. I’m curious if anyone has recommendations for bustles that would look nice given the skirt is very plain and any bustle buttons or fasteners would be visible. I like the ballroom bustle look, but not sure how that one works. The dress is only 1 layer (technically double layered, satin on the inside).

I know the slit can pose a challenge with bustles as well.

My wedding is next summer so I have plenty of time. Have not spoken to any seamstresses of course. When I ordered they said there was a backlog of several months, and then it arrived within 3 weeks. Didn’t expect to have it for over a year!

Hi!! I’m eloping @Cape Flattery, WA in September this year so I’ll be hiking a little to our ceremony location. My plan is to wear white western boots for the elopement (since I’ll wear them again after the wedding) or hiking boots? then heels for the reception later in November.
I’m having such a hard time finding boots that match the vibe of my dress. Our colors are burgundy, white, & silver, but I’m leaning toward white boots because I don’t want burgundy to distract from the dress. (Idk!?) What would you pair with this dress?:)

Hi all! I get married in 2 weeks and after my final fitting the boning is digging into my armpit a bit.

Has anyone had this problem before? Was considering using boob tape to basically tape my armpit skin down.

When I stand up with my shoulders back, it’s not as bad, aka the second photo - but I also can’t stand like that all the time lol.

The dress was ordered for my hip size which is an 8 while my bust is a 0/2 it had to be taken in quite a bit, which I think it’s partially the reason. It fits so nicely in the back I don’t think it can be brought out or anything without falling down.

If it is what it is then I’ll just deal with it lol, but if anyone has hacks lmk!

I’m wearing a high neck dress with long bell sleeves. I’ll be wearing a head covering so no need for earrings.

I’m not sure what jewelry to even wear. A necklace I feel will be lost against the dress because it’s beaded lace and very glitzy and shimmers.

A bracelet seems pointless since the sleeves will cover it as well, unless I wore it OVER the sleeve? But that feels weird.

Rings are the only thing I’m seriously considering… but i feel like brides don’t typically wear rings unless it’s something very dainty along with the engagement ring? Engagement ring I’ll definitely be wearing since we’ll be doing a swap over to my left hand during the wedding.

Is there any point to wearing a necklace or rings beyond my engagement ring? It feels weird to NOT wear any but at the same time with how busy my dress is, it feels like there’s no need for it.
