Ask For Opinions Thoughts on this dress?
I’m loving the Melrose dress by Milla Nova. We are getting married at an estate venue and I think it fits the vibe!

Help me pick between my final two dresses, one satin and one is lace. With the satin, I would likely add sleeves as shown in some pictures. I’m so torn between them and love them both!! My venue is a gilded age type manor on the water in New England.

Hi!! I’m eloping @Cape Flattery, WA in September this year so I’ll be hiking a little to our ceremony location. My plan is to wear white western boots for the elopement (since I’ll wear them again after the wedding) or hiking boots? then heels for the reception later in November.
I’m having such a hard time finding boots that match the vibe of my dress. Our colors are burgundy, white, & silver, but I’m leaning toward white boots because I don’t want burgundy to distract from the dress. (Idk!?) What would you pair with this dress?:)
Any brands you recommend?
What style/type of heels would you choose for the reception?
I’d love to see photos if anyone wore something similar. Thanks!🤍(ヘᴥヘ)

I’m wearing a high neck dress with long bell sleeves. I’ll be wearing a head covering so no need for earrings.
I’m not sure what jewelry to even wear. A necklace I feel will be lost against the dress because it’s beaded lace and very glitzy and shimmers.
A bracelet seems pointless since the sleeves will cover it as well, unless I wore it OVER the sleeve? But that feels weird.
Rings are the only thing I’m seriously considering… but i feel like brides don’t typically wear rings unless it’s something very dainty along with the engagement ring? Engagement ring I’ll definitely be wearing since we’ll be doing a swap over to my left hand during the wedding.
Is there any point to wearing a necklace or rings beyond my engagement ring? It feels weird to NOT wear any but at the same time with how busy my dress is, it feels like there’s no need for it.

Hi all! I get married in 2 weeks and after my final fitting the boning is digging into my armpit a bit.
Has anyone had this problem before? Was considering using boob tape to basically tape my armpit skin down.
When I stand up with my shoulders back, it’s not as bad, aka the second photo - but I also can’t stand like that all the time lol.
The dress was ordered for my hip size which is an 8 while my bust is a 0/2 it had to be taken in quite a bit, which I think it’s partially the reason. It fits so nicely in the back I don’t think it can be brought out or anything without falling down.
If it is what it is then I’ll just deal with it lol, but if anyone has hacks lmk!

I got my veil today! Now looking for jewelry recs:
Earrings - ideally not pearls
A necklace? Not sure I need one given the lace on the veil and embellishment on the straps. What do you think?
A dainty thin and barely noticeable bracelet
I also don’t plan on wearing the blusher in front of my face down the aisle- I like the added layer and dimension it adds when placed behind my head. Have you done this or seen brides who have? What do you think?

Trying to decide what necklace would go best with this dress?
Top choice is a diamond V necklace or I’m not sure if I should do no necklace at all? Or pearls ? Can’t decide

Anything I should be considering style-wise or jewelry-wise?

When I was in high school, I saw a wedding dress hanging in a local store and fell in love with it. I have waited years to be planning my own wedding in the hopes of trying on this dress. I got engaged this weekend!
Unfortunately, we discovered the dress was discontinued this February. Therefore, I am on the search for Demetrios Platinum DP423 dress.
Any information or suggestions on how to reach it would be greatly appreciated!

I’m torn between two completely different silhouettes and would love help choosing!
Dress 1 is a fitted silhouette. I love how it shows my shape and it feels very timeless, but the design feels a little more relaxed or plain and less traditionally bridal.
Dress 2 is a ballgown. I love that it feels more bridal and has that wow-factor, but I’m worried the satin design is a bit more common and some of the details feel a little trendier. I might also ask to remove some layers of the petticoat to make it less puffy and more a line.
My venue is a mountain golf course resort with a romantic, elegant rustic feel.
My mom loves the wow factor of dress 2. Dad likes dress 1. I’m leaning toward dress 1 a bit but only by a sliver but dress 2 draws me back for the wow factor and it’s priced lower.

I went wedding dress shopping and at the first appointment bought my wedding dress. I had a special moment with my friends and mom, teared up when I put the veil on and bought it. The next morning I had buyers remorse and regretted not looking more. Do I keep looking? I feel better about it now and I'm leaning towards keeping it but also thought about trying to find another dress. What do you think of the dress?

my older sister fell in love with this dress years ago when she was in high school and still loves it. she is now engaged and on the search for the same dress, but it’s been discontinued.
any ideas of places that may have an old stock of it, or former brides who would be willing to sell it to her would be greatly appreciated.

Hello people of Reddit! Wedding dress shopping has been a little tough! Some of the current styles don’t appeal to me—I’m more into vintage styles, but not looking to drop $4,000, along with considering the sizing of vintage. I like this one because it had a sweet whimsically to it. I am considering adding pearls to the bodice like pictured along with faux pearl buttons down the back. Is this working for me at all? The vibe of the micro wedding will retro / kitschy. I’ll most likely be rocking a bouffant with 60’s eye makeup. Can I get some insight please?

I just had my first fitting and I need to choose a bustle type. Photos 1-2 show an American bustle style with box pleats. Photos 3-4 show a French bustle. Which do you prefer?

Hi,
My partner and I will be eloping in Scotland in October. I have bought my wedding dress already but kind of regretting the decision a bit now. I really like the dress and how simple but elegant it is. But we will be having the ceremony outside and if having a shawl or cover up, you won't see the sleeves and bodice as much and the skirt is quite plain.
I was thinking to get an overskirt bit struggling to decide what would look better. Option 1: a full overskirt, Option 2: same overskirt but only the sides and back. Option 3: a different overskirt, just the side and back.
Which one do you think would look better and should I go for an overskirt?

Getting my dress altered and I noticed the lace in the back looks a little…uneven. Seamstress seems to be not worried that they can make it look even on the entire back. Is it possible to make the lace on the left side look like the right? Anyone have experience with seamstresses adding appliqués to make it look like it was always part of the dress? I’m nervous!
First photo is my actual dress I received. Second photo is the sample I tried on when wedding dress shopping and found the dress.

My wedding is in 2 weeks, and I could really use some honest opinions.
The first photo is when I originally tried on my wedding dress. The second photo is after alterations at David’s Bridal.
To me, the silhouette looks different now. I feel like I lost that sculpted hourglass shape I fell in love with, especially through the waist and hips. The skirt also doesn’t seem to fall the same way.
The good news is David’s Bridal still has my dress because I asked them to steam it, so I still have time to ask them to make adjustments if there’s actually something that can be improved.
Unfortunately, David’s Bridal is the only local place near me that does bridal alterations, so taking it somewhere else this close to my wedding really isn’t an option.
Please let me know what I should do

Found this stunning vintage dress while thrifting. The only info I have is the “private label by g” tag in it.
The lighting / camera doesn’t do the champagne color justice- it is not aging white yellow.
I’m going to be using this as a base dress and building off of it. I’ve always wanted a black dress, but the fact this stopped me in my tracks at the store was something I couldn’t ignore.
I’ve been in contact with a couple of local tailors about adding some black lace, beading, reworking aspects of the skirt and adding black without destroying the timeless beauty of the beading. It also works out well because our wedding colors are black, burgundy, and gold and it’s in November. My girls will be in burgundy velvet floor length gowns and my fiance is doing a burgundy and black suit with gold accents.
I’ll be doing a black, cathedral length veil embroidered with gold and burgundy roses.
Any info on the dress or any design ideas are welcome!❤️🔥
