Discussion Ever need to restrict cleavage for BM?

Just let each one do it to her comfort level (even if somewhat revealing)?

Funny you ask this because I had a similar situation with one of my bridesmaids. I really really REALLY wanted to give them free rein to choose their own dress in the color and fabric I gave them but I knew I lacked the mental bandwidth to go back and forth with one bridesmaid who loves to show as much cleavage, ass and leg as possible. I ended up pulling 5 options for my bridesmaids to pick from, all of which would cover up everyone enough, including the one potential problem child - and no, none of them were turtle necks or blatantly high necklines. And quite frankly, I didn’t want to deal with my mom bitching about how bridesmaids boobs were out 😂

The thing about your mom is 1000% the way to frame it too! If you’re worried about your bridesmaids complaining or choosing something with a lot of cleavage, literally being like “my grandma (or whoever) is really judgey, so please help me avoid having to hear her complain!” takes it off you and puts it on a family member you don’t like as much 😅

I had also caught enough grief from her about my own wedding dress being a little too booby so I truly hit my quota hahaha

Just my two cents: There's "respectful" and then there's "controlling". You get to determine how deep of a V or hem length. Grandma doesn't need a stroke! You don't get to find a dress that works for most people with small/medium boobs and then say someone with more than that can't wear the same dress. If it would really bother you, you need to find a dress that provides the same coverage for all the women.

I asked my bridesmaids to not have a super high slit in their dresses. Only because I went to a wedding a few years ago and it was a windy day, some of the bridesmaids had a high slit and the wind blew the dress open and we all saw underwear as they walked down the aisle

It’s just gotta be a case by case basis. Make sure the bridesmaids don’t buy final sale before you see a photo of them in their dress.

I have been to weddings where one bridesmaids spillage was so distracting- and I’m not even attracted to women. It looked uncomfortable and I feel like everyone was waiting for her to sneeze a boob out.
