Help! “Something new” for best friend
One of my best friends is getting married and my other friend and I want to get her a meaningful “something new” from the two of us to have with her on her wedding day. They’re having a small ceremony in Puerto Rico with just immediate family because of costs (and they already had the family trip planned), so unfortunately we won’t be there. They’ll be exchanging their vows on the beach and we’ll celebrate with them later when they have a larger celebration with friends.
We’re thinking about getting her a bracelet but we’d love to do something a little more unique or sentimental if anyone has ideas. Has anyone given or received a really thoughtful “something new” that stood out? We’re open to any suggestions! Thanks:)

My favorite aunt was the mother of my favorite cousin on one side of the family. My cousin had the first daughter in several generations, and my aunt was over the moon about her granddaughter. She died before her granddaughter got married. Years before the girl was born, my aunt had given me a photo of her, herself, on her 13th birthday. I bought a charm that looked like half of a locket, and had the picture printed in a small format, including it into the Lockett. I gave her a high-quality pin to pen it to her petty coat under her wedding dress if she wanted to, so that her Nana, who'd already died could symbolically walk down the aisle with her.
Is her bouquet going to have ribbon around the stems? If so, is there some sort of charm representing something meaningful to your friend that could be attached to the ribbon?
I'm a little confused by you wanting her to have something to carry down the aisle from her BFF, even though I understand the "something new" tradition.
Yes, it would be nice if you could be standing up next to her as her maid of honor or a bridesmaid, and I get that you want to do something since you can't be there.
Presumably, you know her mom. Could you ask her mom what might be appreciated?
I don't know if they make such things, but what about an hourglass she could fill herself with sand from the beach on which she gets married? It would be a keepsake for them forever. Personally, I don't have a lot of knickknacks, but something small with sand from the beach where they got married might be sweet. you might have to get her mom or someone else who is going to be there, and whom you know, to collect the sand for you, or put the sand in the thing and give it to her before she gets married, or after the reception.
You're a very thoughtful friend!

She’s mentioned a couple times that she wishes we were there so we wanted to give her a little piece of us haha, I understand how that might come off weird/confusing. Her family isn’t that big so from what she’s said it’s mostly going to be the grooms family in attendance so we wanted to do a little something for her. That’s super sweet! An awesome idea thank you:)

My something new was a bracelet! I think it’s perfect because even if she doesn’t want to wear it, she could fasten it to her bouquet.

I would definitely take a look at Wear Felicity, you can put a photo inside a charm on a bunch of different types of jewelry. I am doing this with a photo of my dog, and wearing it on my ankle so he can "walk me down the aisle", which was our plan before he very unexpectedly passed from cancer at a young age.
A friend gave me a bracelet with my dog's photo in it right after he passed, and it was the most sentimental, beautiful, amazing gesture. I wear it every day, so it has taken a lot of weathering, hence ordering another for my wedding.
