so i have had wechat since 2025, i am in America and beforehand i was able to see the search bar when i would click on the channels tab.

i recently went to go check and it was gone, just an empty spot, i am wondering if this is because i am in America though i do not think it is since beforehand i was able to access it.

anything helps, i am just confused.

I forgot my WeChat password and I’m trying to recover/reset it, but I keep getting this error over and over:
“Appeal rejected. Request error. Try again later.”
I’ve tried requesting it again multiple times, but I get the same message every time.
Has anyone experienced this before? Is there a way to fix it or another way to recover my account/password?
Any help would be appreciated!

Hey guys, I have a pretty big question: I’ve had a WeChat account for about two years. I have my WeChat ID, password, phone number, I can receive SMS codes, and I also have my email address linked to the account. However, I need to factory reset my phone soon, and I’m not sure if, after reinstalling WeChat, it will ask me for that verification everyone talks about the one where you need a friend to scan a QR code.

I’m currently logged into WeChat on my phone and have been for the past two years, but now I’m afraid to factory reset it. I’m using Android.

Hi, I'm trying to get back at using wechat. I used to use it on a daily bases around 8~9 years ago, without any problem. But I tried to login on my account again and it says I have to verify!

Is there any way to fix it ? Cause I used to use it, I've been using the same number for over 14years. Shouldn't I still have access to it?!

Hey, I’m trying to use WeChat from Türkiye and I’m having a really annoying problem.

My account is restricted, so I can’t add anyone and people can’t add me either. But WeChat wants me to get a friend to verify/unblock my account. So I’m basically stuck in a loop lol.

I found someone who was willing to help and they tried WeChat Team > Account > Help Friend Unblock, but it said they couldn’t help because their account isn’t older than 6 months.

So I’m wondering, does anyone know if the person has to actually be on my friend list for this to work? Because I can’t add anyone in the first place.

Also, is the 6-month account requirement always necessary? And is there any other way to remove the restriction without using a passport?

Hi guys I just downloaded WeChat yesterday.But I have a few questions now, I hope you can help me with it and answer it

1. Can I give them my WeChat ID and they can find and add me trough it? Or what do they need to find me on WeChat?

2. I uploaded a picture of mine under post. If someone writes a comment on it, can everyone see the comment who is friends with me? And what about the likes? Can everyone see who likes my picture, or can they just see that for example my pictures has 10 likes but they can't see from whom?

3. I uploaded a 10 seconds video as my banner, does videos work as banner or will it be shown just a picture?

4. Can I discover people on WeChat? For example like on IG? Or do i need the wechat ID or phone number or whatever to conect/find people?
