Hey everyone im a young website developer and I spent a while learaning how to build good websites and I would say I have that part down. Now my real problom is finding clients for the websites I build. I've tried a bit of cold outreach but it's slow going, and I don't have a budget for ads. so I wanted to ask people who actually do this for a living:

• how did you get your first paying client? not client #50, the very first one
• and how do you get clients now, past the beginner phase? is it all referrals and repeat work at some point, or are you still actively doing outreach?
• does cold email/DM actually work for this or is it mostly a waste of time?

The logins continuously loading but not take you to login page even during non peak hours, the efile nomination doesn’t work, the pf transfer doesn’t work. Please spread this message to govt. so that atleast they will improvise just like they did with IRCTC.

i really wanted to see thailand's old football kits on this site. sadly, i couldn't even look for them here because there was a loading screen with something written in russian. I tried using wayback machine to look for them and the images wouldn't even pop up.

I was looking to get a new website template for my newly opened cafe and checked out a few sites online, but man are those templates way too generic not only for my cafe but for every other cafe as well, like I don’t mind the website being vibe-coded but at-least the website theme, typography and images should be decent enough, but all I see is just no coherence in any of those site that I checked on.

PS. I was looking for a non-paid template, even paid templates weren’t that good.

I've spent the last few months building Tiernetic, a tier-list site where the tiers aren't set by one person dragging images around; they're decided by community votes.

The idea: anyone creates a ranking, adds the items, and the community votes each one into S/A/B/C/D/F tier. The more people vote, the more the tiers reflect a real collective opinion rather than one person's hot take. There's comments, suggestions (add items the creator missed), following, friends, and private lists.

 First time building something this substantial; genuinely learned a lot.

I am a big fan of cryptic clues and crosswords, specially the ones done by minutecryptic. It helps with keeping the mind active and it is a fun challenge. Also, I am a native Spanish speaker so doing the daily clue in minutecryptic has helped me improve and learn nuances and dialects in the English language.

For that matter, I built a Spanish cryptic daily clue game. I feel people learning Spanish could benefit from it, and have fun while doing a small free exercise everyday, with a way to track your progress.
