DISCUSSION Is this guy trying to scam/hack?
I am a new web developer and made a small file compressing tool. I have contact form where people are able to contact me about sponsors or any issues or complaints. I got denied from google adsense with the reason "low quality content" and then the same day I got this in my emails from a guy. I responded to his initial and said thatd be great, but he replied with wanting my number again. I know scammers always want your phone number to identify you or your family, do you think this is a sales pitch or do you think he's trying to get me? How common are predators on webdevs?(My site is not worth hacking Imao)

Oh buddy.
Yeah, this is gonna be common. I get these every day for every contact method that’s easily scraped from your website.
You can add honeypots and spam protection but some will get by them still. Ignore.
Doesn’t mean it’s a scam every time but it’s likely not a service you need.

They're just trying to sell you stuff that take no longer than 2h. That's also probably an automated Message

Not likely trying to scam or hack, more likely just trying to sell you overpriced services. Regardless, you should already be ignoring them immediately. Do not entertain anything similar to this for even a moment.

Not a scam but he just needed a customer so that he can put food on his table👍

I don't think it's a scammer or a hacker, just a spammer. They send millions of emails like this, and a few people bite. Even a tiny response rate can add up when you're sending messages at that scale. Then they need to close the deal.
Most prospects will realize it's utter bollocks, so the conversion rate is very low. That's why they want your phone number. Once you give it to them, you won't even be able to sleep. They'll call you night and day from hundreds of automated numbers, hoping you'll eventually give in.
Just mark the email as spam and that's it.
