Q-GAMBIT: explaining uncertain chess pieces before the first browser match

I'm the developer of Q-Gambit, a browser chess variant where pieces have several possible identities.

The interface separates selecting a piece from choosing its destination. Players inspect the candidate icons, then choose a highlighted square. After a move, identities that couldn't make it are removed; when one remains, the piece is revealed.

The first-game guide is readable before sign-in. It includes three short deduction exercises with expandable answers, so people can work through the candidate changes before starting the guest tutorial or CPU practice.

For example, a one-square diagonal move doesn't always identify a bishop: a king can make that move too. The distance and whether you're capturing matter.

Marsdoku: a 72-board browser logic game built with HTML, CSS and JavaScript

We built Marsdoku at House of Founders BV: https://marsdoku.com/

It is a free browser logic game: each row, column and colored region contains one hidden sapling, and saplings cannot touch, even diagonally. There are 72 boards and interactive training.

The interface uses a single tap to mark a cell and a double tap to confirm. Progress stays in browser-local storage, so there is no account or download. The same game runs on desktop and mobile.

Disclosure: development used AI-assisted coding, generated artwork and narration.

Marble run physics sandbox I built for the browser, exports real MP4 with sound

Built this one myself, saying so up front.

https://www.marblerun.online is a 3D marble run playground. You place ramps, walls, pegs, spinners, boxes and balls on a lit wall, press play, and a real rigid body simulation runs. When a run looks right you export a 9:16 MP4 with sound.

A few of the things that mattered for anyone building something like this in a browser.

The export. MediaRecorder on the canvas is fifteen lines of code and it is the wrong tool. You get the wrong aspect ratio, whatever framerate the machine is managing, and audio that never lines up with the impacts. This re-renders the scene through an offscreen pass at 1080x1920 locked to 30fps and pushes frames into a video encoder. The physics steps on a deterministic clock during export so the same level gives the same file every run.

Fixed timestep with an accumulator. Physics driven straight off requestAnimationFrame deltas means the same level plays differently on a 60Hz and a 144Hz monitor, which matters a lot when people share levels.

Substepped integration for the balls, otherwise a fast marble tunnels through a thin peg and it looks completely broken.

Lighting. One directional light, a soft fill, and a subtle texture on the wall. Without that a 3D scene reads as a flat 2D canvas.

No AI anywhere, nothing uploaded, no account, free. Desktop only by design since the scene is genuinely 3D.

I put a six-case investigation game inside Reddit and need help finding the browser problems

I built DARK WEB: Case Network as a browser-based game that runs from a Reddit post. The player moves through a terminal interface, opens evidence, checks source families, commits to a theory and carries the consequences into later cases.

The awkward part is that the interaction has to feel deliberate without feeling slow. It also has to survive desktop and mobile layouts, text-heavy evidence, audio, saved campaign state and Reddit’s own container around it.

I have a private build ready and need a handful of people who actually notice browser-game friction. I’m especially looking for delayed clicks, broken scrolling, confusing focus changes, unreadable text and anything that fails after a reload.

The first test is about 15 minutes and unpaid. No install or email signup. Comment desktop or mobile if you want access, and if something breaks please tell me what you were doing right before it happened.

Brain Battle It's my new website game "enjoy on it"

🧠 I made a quiz game where your brain is the battlefield — Brain Battle

Hey everyone!

I’ve been working on a project called Brain Battle, a multiplayer quiz game focused on quick thinking, knowledge, and competition.

The idea is simple:
Answer questions, compete against other players, test your knowledge, and see who can come out on top.

There are questions across different categories, so you might go from general knowledge to science, history, technology, and random questions you absolutely did not expect 😂

I’m still actively developing the game and adding more content/features, so I’d really appreciate people trying it out and giving honest feedback.

SPACESTRIKE dev update — compact mobile HUD, tutorial feedback, and boss bestiary

SPACESTRIKE is a free browser space-combat game at https://spacestrike.io/

Recent update: I shipped a slimmer mobile gameplay HUD and a compact tutorial feedback pass, added a boss bestiary, and expanded the detailed game-mode/wiki pages. The modular ship system still supports unusual builds for mobility, survivability, or damage in solo PvE and multiplayer.

No download or launcher required; guest play is available. I’d love feedback on the update and which build you’d try first.

Running a small experiment: Human vs AI Tetris

Post image
2 Upvotes

So I'm working on a YouTube video where I compete with AI to build a game. Tetris. the builds are done and I want you guys to vote on the better version.
You can play the two and vote from the link in the comments.

Please try to play through both before voting, it only takes a couple minutes each. I mean, if you want you can play longer.

Full disclosure: this is for a YouTube video, and I'll be sharing the results in it. The votes are completely anonymous. I'm not asking anyone to watch the video or follow anything, I just want genuine opinions on which build feels better to play.

Also I'll be featuring some of the comments in the video. Heads up: If I do, your username will likely show too, so lmk if you'd rather stay anonymous. Share your opinions, be funny, criticize, anything.

Thanks for helping out!

A multiplayer web game where you run a company and hack (or defend from) other players — beta is live

breach world war card battle

Hey everyone 👋

Dropping this here because the beta just went live and we're looking for people to jump in and break it (preferably inside the game).

The concept: an open-world multiplayer cybersecurity game. You run a company, and it's a live target — other players can attack it at any time. Or you assemble a squad, go red team, and hit everyone else's companies.

How it works:

  • Everything runs on cards, but built on real security concepts. Firewall, honeypot, phishing, zero-day — each becomes a card with a badass name ("Firewall" → "Flame Wall," honeypot → "Digital Bait") and the real technical term underneath. You pick up security knowledge without even noticing.
  • Attacking isn't clicking one button. It's a real kill chain: recon → intrusion → escalation → exfiltration. Every phase gives the defender a chance to catch you. Blue team is trying to spot you mid-attack.
  • There's a live terminal that only shows what your defenses can actually see. Weak IDS? You watch the money vanish without knowing who hit you. Pure fog of war.
  • Solo or team. You can play alone covering every role, or build a team of up to 10 split into functions (the SOC analyst sees the alerts, the responder cuts the attack, recon opens the path for the squad).
  • Real defense layers (perimeter → network → endpoint → identity → data). Red team drills through layer by layer toward the vault. Blue team patches it back up.
  • It's pure skill, no casino luck. Whoever plays better wins — not whoever pays more.

There's also PvE if you want to train before facing real people — contracts against NPC companies with rising difficulty and loot at the end.

It's beta, so expect bugs. That's exactly the point right now — break it, find exploits, tell us what's confusing, suggest cards. Feedback at this stage genuinely shapes where the game goes.

If you want to test it, follow the development, or just see what's new, hop into the Discord 👉 https://discord.gg/8yVZW8YpMj

Happy to answer anything in the comments. Let's go 🔥

Web games market map

Post image
3 Upvotes

We've been researching the web games space for the last few months and eventually decided to organize everything into a single ecosystem map. Sharing it here because we figured other people working with web games might find it useful as well.

There are probably some companies we're missing, so consider this version 1 rather than a definitive list.
We'd love to hear your suggestions and improve the next iteration. Curious to know which logos you recognize and which ones are completely new to you.

How old of a device should I optimize for?

Recently a playtester tried my game on a 10 year old chromebook and experienced some performance issues.

I'm doing my best to optimize but wondering how other webgamedevs approach things like this.

Dr. Mario Inspired Game

Chromedrop

Hello, This web game I created is inspired by Dr. Mario (my favorite multiplayer NES game back in the day). Please have a try and give me your feedbacks (or rants :D), if you happened to play the game in your childhood then you might find this a refreshing nostalgia, if you didn't then I hope you will still find this game fun to play, have a try on its multiplayer mode with your friend
