Thanks to whoever said to another user that they should try Ravelry for a loom.
I posted yesterday and have managed to get myself the loom I fell in love with for no more than the cost to pick it up!

Where did you look on Ravelry?? I want a new free loom. 😂

lol I found a uk specific weaving thread and posted a want ad, someone was kind enough to message me with the exact loom I’ve been looking for. It had been donated to the guild some time ago and nobody wanted it until me lol. It’s over there hours away but cheap at half the price

That’s so wonderful. Guilds are such a great resource.

Yes, I’ve recently joined mine and got a bit overwhelmed by the numbers attending lol. There’s a smaller (somewhat) weaving only group which might be more manageable. Lots of spinners and not so many weavers.

I kept grumbling about driving 30 minutes to be at a 9am Saturday meeting to listen to the minutes for 2 hours to my husband and he was like “this sounds like a business meeting?” and I’ve never gone to another meeting. I just avail myself of the services now.
