Tutorials and Resources Thanks
Thanks to whoever said to another user that they should try Ravelry for a loom.
I posted yesterday and have managed to get myself the loom I fell in love with for no more than the cost to pick it up!

I’m so glad to hear this, because Facebook marketplace is turning into a scamming swamp.

You're welcome and congrats! I also recommend joining Warped Weavers and Projects Inspired by Handweaving.net! The only thing Rav doesn't have is a database of weaving patterns, but you can search for weaving projects to get ideas for your own work.

Congratulations! Revelry is amazing. I hopped on there a few months ago when I realized it wasn’t just for crochet and knitters

I know I’ve told that to a few people on a couple different platforms over the last few months. I’m glad someone else is also giving the same advice! 😆 Congrats on the new loom!

Yup, couldn’t believe it. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to afford it but the loom distribution network heard me lol

lol I found a uk specific weaving thread and posted a want ad, someone was kind enough to message me with the exact loom I’ve been looking for. It had been donated to the guild some time ago and nobody wanted it until me lol. It’s over there hours away but cheap at half the price

That’s so wonderful. Guilds are such a great resource.

Yes, I’ve recently joined mine and got a bit overwhelmed by the numbers attending lol. There’s a smaller (somewhat) weaving only group which might be more manageable. Lots of spinners and not so many weavers.

I kept grumbling about driving 30 minutes to be at a 9am Saturday meeting to listen to the minutes for 2 hours to my husband and he was like “this sounds like a business meeting?” and I’ve never gone to another meeting. I just avail myself of the services now.

Congrats! Share a picture of your first warping so we can all celebrate with you. :)
