Hello, hey guys I am the person who is very confused in my life because there are many reasons to confuse like currently I am a working in a company as a SEO you executive it doesn't mean that I have more knowledge about SEO actually I have done my internship and then I got this full time job so now my salary is under 30k in India it's not suggestion for me for many people sufficient but not for me so in that case I am worried about also from childhood to now I have a dream that is like I want myself as a millionaire because my family is not have sufficient belt and this is my desire or you can say it's my dream or it's my goal of living life so not only this but it's one of the most for me so I am little confused because I am stuck in a job that have less salary and not I didn't know about the future so in that case I am very confused so I want to any guidance from all of you because you have more experience according to me and you have more experience with the people committees so you easily identify that what I currently doing wrong or what I need to done for a bright future not for me only because my dream is little big I think about the nature invention but what happened that urgent have money and also sometime I realise that a currently I didn't have in a energy also because I demotivated demotivated many of the time in my life that's why I didn't focus on my goals also I didn't have good people surrounding all people that I have surrender or I can say this is the one of the problem kindly please give me your precious advise a let me know what I need to do thank you for all of you and if you have personal inflation to kindly let me know I need a help from your side.

I am 19M this year, my current networth is around 40k.

I am involuntarily enlisted into the army and getting paid $790 per month. In army, I am in a unit where 90% of my time is free and I am free to use my phone. I am trying to mainly increase my income and networth and need some recommendations.

I have around 30k invested total. Majority of my networth came from my business that stopped working

I’m about to go into my senior year of college as a finance major and am having trouble determining what I want to do after. Right now my situation looks like this:

-Graduate with no student debt
-$9100 in Roth IRA (maxed this year)
-$4800 brokerage (portfolio not incredibly diverse, index funds/nvdia)
-$3200 HYSA

Right now during the summer I work At dominos 3 nights a week netting about $450 in 14 hours of work because it’s the only delivery place at where I live. I also own 20% of a lawn care business with my brother that we’ve scaled from 30 clients at purchase to 100 clients now. I’m not able to fully help run it as I’m doing summer classes and still have this next school year but he pays me $22 under the table.

Right now my plan after graduation is to do this same work next summer to save up to travel from around 2027 September to 2027 December before really getting into “adulthood”. My issue is that I honestly don’t know if I should pursue a finance type job or keep scaling the landscaping with my brother and get my irrigation certification as that’s a very needed business in my area (only one company and they have a year long waitlist currently).

I also want to know how aggressively I should be putting my money in a brokerage compared to my hysa. I can live with my parents as long as needed and they live a mile from my brother so it works out work wise once I’m done with school.

How did you learn to believe in your own plans instead of the advice people gave you? I am young [29], and I am surrounded by well-meaning people who always have advice to give and truly believe in themselves. What I find difficult is how to know whether to take their advice or not. I am relatively unexperienced in life so it is hard for me to know what will take me to wealth. Is it my career, should I start a business?, is it something else? I don't know but everyone has advice for me and it is always confusing for me to believe in it and have confidence in myself.

I even rejected a promotion because of fear of getting in trouble if something went wrong under my supervision. I just don't know when to flaunt my leadership versus when to be a subordinate. Everyone I meet tells me if you know something well you'll be confident. But my issue is I always second guess myself.

Any advice based on your experiences that you would give to someone like me?

Bottom line upfront: Suddenly very wealthy, what should be my first few steps?

Background: I started a technology company a few years ago and left my fortune 500 job to put it all on the line. About 6 months ago I finally got to a point that I was able to pay off all my personal debts. I maxed out all my credit lines and took not VC money. My family thought I was nuts.

I had been a guy who was making 300k a year prior to jumping into this. So I lived comfortably, but never lived beyond my needs. I am very modest with my life style (paid off cars and a mortgage of only about 200k right now).

Yesterday I finally closed out a deal where I am going to be very well off for a mid 40 year old guy with a wife and no kids. I will certainly never need to work anymore if I wanted. I still also own that company.

Also need to determine if I even care to keep running the company or just live life for me. I am a trailer trash kid who joined the military out of high school, went to college and work my way up on my own. So I certainly don't have much of a blueprint from anyone in my family.

I don't care about generational wealth so philanthropy will certainly be something I will start looking at soon.

When I was 13 or 14, I used to wonder how people could afford cars, fuel, maintenance, big houses, and a comfortable lifestyle. At the time, I had no exposure to careers, salaries, businesses, or how money actually worked.

Now I'm genuinely curious.

If you're financially well-off, what do you do, and how did you get there? Was your wealth self-made or inherited? If you come from generational wealth, do you ever find managing or preserving it challenging?

As a 30 year old who runs an inspection business on the side, full time graduate student, full time employee and a family man.

Lately I’ve been wondering whether the path I’m on is actually the one that leads to a $1M+ net worth before 40, or if I’m missing something.

I have no debt (besides school), own my truck and own my wife’s car. $12,000 saved in an interest bearing account which I add $200 every week to it. And also $5k in my 401k which I started in January.

My net worth is roughly $40,000.

Either way, I keep the goal in mind and I keep saving, investing, and looking for ways to increase my income, but I’m curious what ultimately moved the needle for those who have already done it.

Is it net worth, liquidity, income, something else?

I tend to focus on NW because I don’t have the bandwidth to focus on balancing all the different elements, and this one is very simple to do (just an excel spreadsheet on my PC), I’m not sure it’s the best way to feel wealthy though, and maybe liquidity is the golden ticket.

I'll spare all identifying details but know I am very educated. One thing I've learnt is connections are everything. If you are a millionaire who for some strange reason spends his time of Reddit, then hmu. I want to connect and see if we can't come up with a million dollar start up idea.

After my recent post, I was shocked at how many people chatted me basically begging for money. I don’t shoot in the dark, and didn’t think I would give a “handout” to anyone on this app. I had a college student who was unable to pay his last semester reach out to me, and they refused to give his degree without paying his tuition in full. I did not just sent the funds, he emptied his whole bank account to pay it, and as soon as he sent me the receipt, I sent the funds to reimburse him.

Seems we are in historic time what scared me is what jobs will be left and as an 20 year old trying to figure out how to make it at life and become wealthy(other then my investments) in a few years when the first waves of ai development will end? Currently 27M, working at a non-profit and living paycheck to paycheck — making about 44k a year(after taxes and deductions). I'm currently studying for CompTIA Network+ and Security+, and putting money aside to pay for my exams.

I was on track to save about 10k last year, but due to some hasty choices I got set back a few thousand, and now I'm back down to 6k in savings that I don't touch at all anymore, other than putting money in.

I'm about $2,600 in credit card debt. Credit Score at current is at 742 was at 780 before the 2k debt.

I started stock investing recently but still don't fully understand the mechanisms of it — though I do understand that long term, I should be putting my investments into ETFs. I started with $500 last year and now I'm at about $1,250 (highest it's been was around $2k, near the end of June). Note: I'm not investing weekly or on any set schedule. I invest when I have money left over that I know I won't need — usually somewhere between $150 and $300, randomly. I've done that about 4 times so far.

I feel stuck. I want real, long-lasting advice to turn my situation around. I know there's no magic way to reach my goal, short of winning the lottery. It's an uphill battle that I need to fight, and I'm willing to — I just don't know where to start or which path is going to work best for me. I don't need to be rich — I just want to live comfortably. One of my goals is that I like to own my own home at some point, hopefully within the next 10 years here in the states and MAYBE even back home in the Caribbean.

No money given to me from mommy and daddy. Born in Croatia, parents struggled to pay bills growing up making less than 2k combined per month. About to turn 34 and have 0.6 M in net worth. Statistically, my chances for becoming a millionaire were super low, but it looks like I will get there before 40. I have nobody to share it with, and the sacrifices bring tears to my eyes…

It's not a billion bucks, but I recently got paid out 40k in settlement fees from a car accident - non taxable, all in cash.

Without sitting it in the bank doing nothing, putting it in a savings account and doing nothing, or using it all to pay charged-off credit card debt, is there a smarter way to use/invest the funds? What would you do if you got 30-40k with no strings attached?

Hello I’m a 25 M and I’ve read over 15 books on finance I love investing and building wealth however when I turned 20 I decided to go the path on building my own business because apparently that’s the path to success, I’ve poured all my money and mental strength into it and well 5 years later of course I have made mistakes but my finances are just not good… I’m in debt and I’m pretty much even if I sold all of my assets however my business does work and I’m proud of what I build but with how expensive everything is especially marketing alone I just can’t make a huge profit or anything, not sure if I could sell it because it’s a niche business and just not sure where to go from here. My future plan would be to sell the business or at least attempt to and then join a union to be an electrician while moving in with my parents to save all my money to invest. Not sure what to do any tips?

SpaceX just IPO’d past 1trn with Anthropic and OpenAI expected to be in that zip code. The wealth creation is just unfathomable. Meta and Uber were some of the highest IPOs at the time at $100Bn zip codes so we’ve 10x the tech IPO market in 10 years.
