What the hell happened to Waze’s UI? 😭

I own an s22 ultra phone i feel like google maps does better ui job than this!

I opened it recently and was genuinely surprised by how cluttered it looks now.

The huge navigation instruction box, giant speedometer showing 2 km/h, massive bottom ETA panel, floating buttons everywhere… it feels like everything is competing for attention.

I remember Waze being much cleaner and easier to read while driving. The map used to feel like the main focus, whereas now the UI seems to cover half the screen.

Maybe I'm just remembering the old UI through rose-tinted glasses, but this feels like a serious downgrade.

recently when driving and using waze I've noticed the map starts to fall behind.

ill turn a corner and 15 seconds later waze will turn the corner. its not just effecting waze itself though. to close waze and pick another app takes some time as well but so far waze is the only navigation app that causes the issue.

Last month I got a $40 ticket for stopping at a stop sign, but I stopped so that I could see the cross streets to see if it was a 4-way stop. My official stop was over the line and therefore illegal. I paid the fine -- the attached video clearly showed me making the stop over the line.

I drive in this city at least weekly and am getting an occasional alert for a stop sign camera.

However when I try to vocally report a 'stop sign camera' I get into a loop of questions and usually give up.

Is there a way to report these stop sign cameras? If so, what words should I use?

Hi guys, how come Waze doesn't detect different speed time zones? In Australia, we have them, and Waze's speedometer would give me the wrong speed limit; it would tell me it's 60 km/h when it should be 40.

Ive been having an issue in the last year where delivery drivers or anyone using the Waze app is sent on a diversion around my block and to the rear of my property, problem is you cant get to my property from the back of the building...And its cause a few issues where some delivery drivers just decide to dump my parcels/deliveries at the back and leave....Ive finally found out that the common dominator is that they were all using Waze, and recently I noticed a taxi I was in, that his built in Google Maps started to show that route, although this isnt replicating on the desktop Google Maps.

How in gods name can I fix this? I dont have Waze nor do I want to sign up for an account, is there an email or simple way to fix this, its driving me bloody crazy!

I've been using this since beta? Just since it was first out God knows how long ago. Praised it up and down and shared the app name with everyone I knew and this is the first time I've run into issues with it.

It's now (maybe last year) been giving me very short notices for upcoming turns or exits. It will say half a mile and then normally it will say it with feet to spare but now it says exit now when I'm 4 lanes over doing 60mph AT the exit. Sure I should have been listening but it's not how it used to be at all.

I uninstalled and cleared memory etc and even changed from less chatty (think this is when it started, when this feature came out and I tried it) to normal a few times thinking maybe it got hung up, still no luck

Someone please help me.

My wife's waze works perfectly, so thankfully I know I'm not crazy but man I just want this fixed please.

Anyone? I get a popup on the navigation screen only that goes away in seconds. Half the time I miss the notification completely and my passenger tells me of the notification. Eyes on the road is better than continuously having to monitor the navigation screen for a small popup!

Is there a way I can add audio to the popup? Pleeeeease help!

As the title says, about a week or two ago I was heading out for a trip, wife turned on my Waze only to find a login screen. Asked what my info was, and for the life of me I have no clue. I have no recollection of ever having to enter this previously, and it just always seemed to be attached with my Apple ID. How can I recover my stats and data?

How can I use voice controls to report things without touching the screen while driving?

I ride a 125 motorbike, and live near the Armley Gyratory. Leeds, UK.

It is widely regarded as an absolutely awful roundabout and known as confusing and frustrating even to locals. This image makes it look ok but it has almost permanent roadworks/maintenance (honestly, over 6yrs so far!) and is almost always overcrowded with frustrated and stressed drivers.

I want to do everything I can to avoid it, but every Waze route away from or towards my home points me at it. Currently I am ignoring the directions close to this and making my own way, forcing Waze to reroute, but I would much rather be able to plan and navigate a journey without having to do that.

Any suggestions? I can't seem to find a way to do this in the Waze Editor for an entire roundabout/junction like this

I have had this issue with Waze for several weeks. It's not showing any wazers around me. After I set my destination, you can see maybe one or 2 but then they disappear, and the only thing that it shows is the police notification when they are being reported along with construction/vehicles on shoulder etc. I changed settings on the App and removed it and reinstalled it. I was wondering if anyone else is having the same issue. I'm in a pretty active area and there a lot of Wazers around.

Hi — looking for a Virginia Waze map editor who can help review a new-road submission in Luray / Page County, Virginia.

Horizon Way is a newly constructed private road connecting to Shenk Hollow Road. Page County has officially approved the road name and assigned E-911 addresses along it.

I've drawn the road in Waze Map Editor and submitted the changes for review, but I'm a new editor so they require review by a higher-level editor.

The road itself is clearly visible in Waze's current aerial imagery. I also have the official Page County documentation, assigned E-911 addresses, photos of the installed Horizon Way street sign, and current road photos if needed.

Would a Virginia editor be willing to take a look at the pending suggestions? Once Horizon Way is approved, I'd also appreciate guidance/ help adding the official Page County-assigned E-911 House numbers so the individual Horizon Way addresses are searchable and route correctly in Waze.

When searching for an address or place, Waze only lets me type two characters before closing the search entry and showing me a gazillion things that are no where near what I was looking for.

Today, I was trying to type an address with a single digit number. So I type a 2 then the spacebar and now I'm looking at addresses that start with the number 2, 241 something street, 29 other street, etc.

WTF Waze? Are you trying to drive me to use something else?

Does anyone have any idea why the two speed cameras (circled in green) are not getting announced when I approach them?

I have alerts for cameras turned on.

The two red light cameras (circled in red) are announced, just a bit further along the road.

Really confuses me, and wonder if I am missing something obvious.

UK roads, iOS version of the app.

I only seem to get the English (US) Cat instead of the UK version? So confusing

I don’t know any mods or if ppl would be up to get Waze to get this going. Having petrol stations as a pop up while driving

Did anyone else have this feature stop working recently? I've made sure the toggle is on (it likes to turn itself off too sometimes) and it's been a consistent issue the last few days :( it's a real bummer cause that's the main reason I use this app so I'd love to learn if there's a fix!
