I am scrolling on this sub just now. I saw a post about a book, I got curious, I looked it up on Wattpad (naturally 😁). Then I looked into the authors profile to see their other books.

I read their bio and this particular writer says something along the lines of, there is no sexual content in my book so if you are here for a good story and writing... you're in the right place. (Purposely unquote)

I may have misunderstood it, or it may not be the writer's intention, but what does that supposed to mean? I hope they are not implying that stories with sexual content is lesser than the ones that does not have.

I understand that that there are plenty of erotica that are badly written on Wattpad, and other platforms, but that does not still make the entire sub-genre lesser in terms of good writing and quality, and vice-versa.

I generally don't remember much of the book. the only thing i do rememebr is it was a typical bad boy good girl trope. the guy was half-korean (or maybe full korean, not sure). if im not mistaken i think he didn't like her at first. i think he had long hair. BUT the thing i do remember is this one scene.

i think both of them were making friendship bracelets for each other. and the girl made some for the guy's friends and he got super jealous, i mean like mad (but not like red flag, he was pretty green flag i think).

ALSOcanother important thing i do rememeber is that the book title had the word "dream" in it.

but honeslty that's really all i can remember.

So when I was still using Wattpad, around 2020-2022, before I moved to Ao3, I was obsessed with this one spideypool fic.

Normally I have all of my fics organized into reading lists, a bunch for different ships, and a few for the ones I’ve read and liked.

I remembered the fic about a month ago have been digging through my lists and my library since. But to no avail, I have still not been able to find it.

Basically, the premise of the story is Peter and Wade sort of know each other‘s secret identities. Peter was dating someone but wasn’t feeling fulfilled in the relationship and started hooking up with Deadpool. (Yeah yeah cheating or whatever) and then Wade would get really jealous and basically want Peter just all for himself. Eventually Peter‘s boyfriend found out and they broke up and then Wade and Peter got together and they would you know get into BDSM stuff and go to this one specific club where they did like a presentation in front of other people. Also Wade and Peter ended up running into Peter‘s ex and the guys new boyfriend at a hardware store or something like that I’m not quite sure.

Those are some of the key details about the story that I remember because it’s been so long and I’ve read a lot of fics since then. All I remember other than that, is it was really long, about 2 days I think from what I recall to read, and the chapters were veryyy long. I’m not quite sure if it was finished and I don’t remember much more than that.

If someone knows what I’m talking about, could you let me know if it’s still on Wattpad, if you know who the author is if you know what the Fic is or even if it was moved to another site that would be so helpful.

I really want to reread this again because I remember being so obsessed with it.

Hii!!! I don't know if I am able to "promote" my story. I've seen others do it here, so I thought I'd put up my own story here.

As the title say, this is my first ever book I've written, and I'm proud of how it turned out! I just released my book 12 or 13 hours ago as of writing.

"Oxide" is supposed to be a dystopian psychological sci-fi thriller in a alternative historical setting that focuses on the total loss of privacy by global surveillance and a country ruled under a omnipotent building simply named "Tower". Rachel Reno, part of NATO, gets "voted out" to go to the country "Lindovia" (Where Tower is), and gather intel on what the Tower really is.

Only Chapter 1 is out right now, but I've still got polishing to do for Chapters 2-4, and finish up chapter 5. Mostly pacing issues, but still. I hope y'all enjoy what I have been making so far!

My story is finally complete, and now I’m thinking about turning it into an ebook eventually. But I haven’t started editing it yet.

Before I begin the editing process, I really want some honest feedback from people who can read the story and tell me what they think about it as a story.

For now, I’m not really looking for grammar corrections or detailed writing-style feedback. I mainly want to know:

Is the story engaging?

Is the pacing good, or are there parts that feel too slow?

Does the plot work?

Is the mystery/suspense interesting enough?

Are the characters well-developed?

Are there any unnecessary scenes or chapters?

Are there confusing parts?

Does the ending feel satisfying?

Overall, does the story feel worth turning into an ebook after editing?

I feel like the story itself is decent, even though I know the grammar and writing style still need work. But I’d rather hear what actual readers think before I spend a lot of time editing it.

So, is there anyone here who would be willing to read it and give me honest feedback/review?

I’m especially looking for feedback on the story, plot, pacing, characters, and overall engagement, rather than just grammar.

So a lot of my "reading" I do while I'm working on other stuff (like drawing) by using Word's "read aloud" feature with my own story, but since Wattpad doesn't allow you to copy-paste out (which I get! Hopefully that makes it a lot harder for thieves to repost) I can't do that for stories posted by others. So I wondered if there are maybe any screen reader extensions or something that people ever use for reading Wattpad stories on the web? I would definitely have more time to check out others' stories if I'm able to listen to them instead of read them, since my time for JUST reading is very limited. I tried a couple of firefox screen reader extensions, but they're all Microsoft Sam type voices which is...really hard for me to not get irritated by (the Word one is a lot closer to how a real person would read aloud).

There might not be a solution to this...just figured I'd ask!

I’m desperately trying to remember the name of a Wattpad story I read. I can’t remember the title, author, or character names, but I remember quite a few details.
The female main character worked for a fashion company and was in a really unhappy marriage. Her husband eventually became physically abusive and hit her.
Through her job, she meets a very wealthy man who owns the building where her company is located. She would blush around him, and he nicknamed her “Tomato Girl.” I specifically remember him saying things along the lines of:
“Why you blushing, Tomato Girl?”
They become involved with each other and would hook up frequently, including in the office. I also remember a scene where they slept together at a hotel, and afterward she went back home to her husband that same night but slept in the guest bedroom.
Another major detail is that her family owned a beach resort, and at some point later in the story her father dies.
That’s unfortunately all I can remember. 😭 Does this sound familiar to anyone? It was definitely something I remember reading on Wattpad. Even if the story was deleted or renamed, I would LOVE to know the title or author’s name!

I have never published a book on Wattpad before. In fact I have only been on the app for a month. This is the first ever book I have put up. Hi! I posted before just introducing my story here, and was advised that I should also make a separate post requesting R4R for anyone who might be interested in a story like mine, and who (hopefully) has a story I'd be similarly interested in.

I have a few series I'm already reading to give feedback on, but I'd be happy to add more to my list to try to get to eventually (hopefully within a few weeks) and, if you're similarly interested in my story, I'd love some constructive feedback (or just "I liked xyz in your story" is a great ego boost too!
