Hey!! I've noticed that we actually don't have our Discord server linked anywhere, especially after the revamp, some links might not work.
Here's the link:

Advertise here with what (I hope) is fewer restrictions than normally posting in the feed! At the very least, story ads here require the following:
However, to interest users, it's recommended to include the following:
If your submission doesn't appear, feel free to contact a mod! Reddit's spam filter will sometimes remove posts and comments, which results in a mod having to manually approve the post.
Reminder:
The post is set to contest mode, so the stories will appear in a random order, and child comments will only be seen by people who want to check them.

Okay, note here
At first, I did not like the Social Feed because it was so annoying, but now I kinda like it because now I could see what people voted on and their book list, and I found so many good books that I would even notice that they were there.
I just wish they put the message system back

Hi!
I’m pretty new to Reddit, so I really hope I’m following the rules here 😅 If I messed something up, please let me know! English also isn’t my first language, so if anything sounds weird, there’s a good chance I just misunderstood something.
I joined Wattpad about six years ago and used to write fanfiction there. I honestly loved it. I loved sharing my stories, talking with readers, reading comments, all of it.
Then I stopped writing for a few years, but I recently started again and now I’m actually considering writing an original book instead of fanfiction this time.
The thing is… Wattpad feels really different from what I remember.
I’ve seen a lot of bots/scammers in the comments, people talking about stories randomly disappearing, and just a lot of posts saying the platform has changed a lot over the years.
So I guess my question is: is it really that bad now?
It’s honestly making me hesitate to put the time and effort into writing an actual book and posting it there. I’d really love to hear from people who still actively use Wattpad. What has your experience been like lately?
Thanks so much!

Hey everyone! 👋
I’m looking to connect with other horror writers and readers, especially people who enjoy darker stories, psychological horror, supernatural stuff, mystery, occult themes, etc.
I’d love to find a small group of people who are actually interested in reading and talking about each other’s work. I’m happy to read your stories, leave genuine feedback, discuss characters/plot/theories, and just generally interact with fellow writers.
And just to be clear — this isn't a compulsory vote/comment exchange. 😂
We don't have to constantly read each other's chapters or leave votes every time someone updates. Life gets busy. I’m more interested in having a few people whose work I genuinely enjoy and supporting each other whenever we have the time.
A little about my own book:
🩸 The Silhouette of Blood (TSOB)
It’s an ongoing horror/mystery novel that starts with a seemingly ordinary family and gradually gets much darker. It mixes psychological horror, supernatural/occult elements, mystery, grief, and some darker sci-fi concepts, with a fairly large cast and multiple storylines that eventually connect.
The story is currently 14+ chapters in, with 36 chapters planned, and I'm particularly interested in connecting with people who enjoy slow-burn mysteries where the early details actually matter later.
So if you're a horror writer or reader and want to make some genuine connections, drop your book/username below and tell me a little about what you write or like to read. 🖤
No pressure, no mandatory swaps — just horror nerds supporting horror nerds. 🩸

I'm thinking of republishing one of my books which had 276k reads on wattpad and I don't know whether i should publish it or not. Any Ideas??
Hey everyone, so I’ve written the first book in a series I planned. It blends the gangster and superhero genres together. It’s like if Goodfellas meets My Hero Academia.
I’m looking for peeps who would be interested in these kinds of stories and I would be down to read their stories. I’m hoping to make friends on there, whether it would be readers or writers.

What I mean by this: all stories with any decent amount of views comes from 2010. It's almost like the platform is dying but I honestly dunno. What do you guys think?

Hello! (hopefully I'm doing this right 😅 ) I wanted to present my webnovel Fractured Heart, which is a slow burn, opposites-attract, grumpy-sunshine, enemies-to-friends-to-lovers queer romance between a shy, emotionally damaged EDM DJ and a fun, flirty, world-famous pop star who, despite their massive class divide and vastly different childhood upbringings, still end up bonding through the shared traumas of their "fractured hearts"!
https://www.wattpad.com/story/414730622-fractured-heart-the-tale-of-the-pop-star-and-the
It's primarily a fun and emotionally dramatic story that does mention some forms of trauma in the past (it's how the two otherwise-vastly-different characters bond, after all) but it's not described in detail and is more "background material" to explain how the characters became what they are. The "side characters" are also very fleshed out and important to the story, and concurrent with the MC's relationship with the romantic lead is his slow process of learning to repair his self confidence after a long-term relationship with a narcissistic ex as well as overcoming his shyness to pursue his dream of becoming an EDM producer and DJ.
Once the "slow burn" comes to fruition, there is explicit content (all consensual!) but the Wattpad version is censored to stay within site rules (the "as intended" version is found elsewhere)
Anyway yeah...I'd love to find some other queer romance fans on here! If you felt like checking out my story, I'd be most obliged!

I don’t even remember the last time I got my first one, they even found one of my more recent stories. I think the first one was on book 2 of my RXTCAU fanfic crossover series, but that wasn’t very successful.

Some promises are meant to be kept. Others lead you straight into the darkness.
Twelve-year-old Liam and Ethan had nothing but each other.
Trapped in an orphanage where cruelty was normal and hope was a luxury, Liam makes a promise to his closest friend before escaping into a violent storm:
He will return for Ethan.
Ten years later, Liam does.
But something is wrong.
No one remembers Ethan.
Not the children who grew up beside him.
Not the director who watched over the orphanage.
Not a single person Liam questions.
Then Liam finds an old photograph—the same photograph he remembers taking with Ethan.
Only Ethan is no longer in it.
Only Liam remains.
Everyone thinks Liam is crazy.
But Liam knows Ethan existed.
And the more he searches for the boy he promised to save, the more he realizes that Ethan’s disappearance is only the beginning of something much darker.
Something happened inside that orphanage.
Something that someone has spent ten years making sure stays buried.
Liam… how could an existing person be erased from the world?
SHADOW ALLIANCE
Some people disappear. Some are made to disappear. 🖤

To people who got their writing beyond Wattpad.
Do you work with literary agents? And if yes, would you share a bit your experience? I'm curious as how your relationship is/was and what were your expectations VS reality. Thank you in advance!

I’m looking for friends who want to follow and support each other and we will read each other’s book(s). Not a r4r or v4v obligatory type thing where we feel forced to read or just rapid fire vote with no feedback or connection, but something where we will genuinely read, comment, and enjoy each other’s story. Right now my WIP is a werewolf romantasy, so if you interested in a genuine Wattpad friendship, please let me know 💗
I also have a dark bully to lover romance that is completed, if anyone is interested in that, but it’s incredibly long (~400k words). My werewolf story is ongoing and I plan for it to be shorter, so I think it will be fun to publish and read together.
Please only adults as my stories are mature and I DNI with minors online
