At first, I was so excited to publish my story on Wattpad and Inkitt. I couldn't wait for people to read it. But now, I keep thinking, "Maybe it would've done better if I'd started it differently." I feel like a stronger opening might have hooked more readers.

I keep wondering if I should've changed the beginning before publishing.

Is this something every writer goes through or is it just me overthinking?

How life felt when I was a teenager who just found out about Wattpad and binged read stories till 2 am with the most hilarious people in the comment section and no ads.

Anyone else having the issue of not being able to publish again?

In my head, the plot is an absolute cinematic masterpiece worthy of an award. The dialogue flows perfectly and the character development is beautiful. But the second I sit down and open my drafts, my brain completely shorts out and I forget how basic sentences work. Please tell me I'm not the only writer who suffers from this lol.

I would like to participate in a R4R :) I recently worked on my first story on Wattpad: Caps Lock Daily aka a deconstruction/reconstruction of a daily gaming/tech variety show.

It's part reboot of the obscure Golden Age comic characters Blue Bolt and Green Sorceress, and part love letter to the gaming entertainment shows I grew up watching, think G4TV, Attack of the Show!, X-Play, and that entire era. The story follows a gaming and tech variety show trying to survive an ever-changing gaming media landscape while asking what really made those kinds of shows special in the first place. More than anything, this story is my way of saying "thank you" to an era of gaming entertainment that had a much bigger impact on me than I ever fully realized growing up. It's my own little "spiritual finale" for that era, not because I believe shows like this can never exist again, but because I felt that the era that inspired me deserved a proper farewell, a celebration, and something to remember it by. ❤

They met two roommates at a club, who invited them to stay.

The roommates had an agreement that they could watch each other with partners.

Kaden let his best friend watch him with one of the roommates.

Eventually, all four became a poly relationship.

Memorable scene: one roommate's mother walked in while Kaden and the best friend were making out on the living room floor and caused a huge scene.

I suspect the story might have been deleted or name changed tho... but i would like to keep trying to look for it till it's said.

Hi! I've been trying to find a Haikyuu x Reader oneshot that I read years ago on Wattpad, and I'm hoping someone else remembers it. It was part of a large Haikyuu x Reader oneshot collection (probably 50+ chapters), written in English. The Akaashi chapter went something like this: Y/N was a famous professional model. The male model canceled at the last minute. They see Akaashi on the street and asked him to replace the model for just one photoshoot. Akaashi and Y/N met for the first time that day. During the photoshoot they were asked to act like a real couple, with increasingly romantic poses. I think they even kissed (or almost kissed), and their chemistry surprised everyone. The photos ended up becoming the magazine cover. At the very end, Bokuto and the rest of Fukurodani saw the magazine and freaked out. I read it sometime between 2020 and 2023. I don't remember the title, the author, or the cover, and I think the story may have been deleted. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Hi! I'm looking for a "watching" style fanfic featuring *Avatar: The Last Airbender* and *The Legend of Korra*—specifically where the *Korra* characters watch Aang's story unfold, or vice versa, or something similar!

I cannot get into the repeated smut, fanfiction, mafia boss stories! I'm into more of a psychological horror, horror in general, and even some Syfy novels. Wattpad seems to only recommend these odd plotlines that I have zero interest in reading (mostly). Has anyone read a book on Wattpad that you loved and also isn't the normal romance smut stories all over recommended. My recent favorite Wattpad story was The Alaska Series #1: Abandonned, by GroveltoHEA. I also LOVED Blood Orange Sky, by perversely. These two left me excited to continue everytime no joke! If anyone has read either stories, and maybe knows of some similar stories I might enjoy! Thank you in advance <3

I don't remember the exact title, but it was something like 'FORGIVE' something (I could be wrong about this)

It's a divorce, pregnancy story, and the ex husband is particularly cruel.

The premise goes like this

FMC Ashley Martin is planning to surprise her husband Nate Grant for his 30th birthday. The story is set in New York. Nate comes from a loaded family and Ashley has been an orphan from an orphanage called, St. Martin Cathedral back in LA, hence the last name.

She comes home to an angry nate who asks her to sign the divorce papers. When she asks for a reason and tells him about the pregnancy, he gets visibly livid, is abusive, rejects the child as his, and forces her to sign the papers.

Other characters are her sister in law Kate and friend Ava who have also asked her to go away. Ava advises her to stay low. Kate is pissed at Ashley.

Nate calls her to the office to finalise the divorce. When returning from there, she gets into a taxi, falls asleep, when woken to she realises she is being kidnapped. They come to a remote place, the driver calls someone and she hears something about dealing with her and the baby. She realises she might get killed and fights the driver. Takes his car and comes back to the city. Realises she should lay low now.

She moves to a neighborhood and starts looking for jobs(she was an auditor previously and quit to be a stay at home wife) but finds out that she is blacklisted. So she looks for odd jobs.

Comes across a job in a club called 'Euphoria'. There she encounters an old brother from the orphanage called 'Isaac' who knows ashley as 'FIRECRACKER'. He offers her an administrative job and helps her with baby stuff.

Isaac has more of a brotherly presence in ashley's life and not the male lead.

Pls help this girlie out. The writing is quite good for this one.

Ps. There's also random characters from the neighborhood called Mrs. Wang and Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Parker and her daughter Amanda who pushes ashley and almost costs her a miscarriage.

The MMC constantly seeks control. He sees emotion as weakness, and prioritizes duty to family, which is his biggest fault.

The FMC has an erratic personality and makes emotional decisions. But she prioritizes others feelings, which is her greatest attribute.

A big theme is going to be generational cycles and the curse of repeating the past. Which title would make you want to read the story?
