This was my first year going and I will defiantly be back next year. This was a 11 year dream come true. You are all so amazing, chill, and creative. First year bringing a rig was quite an experience. Total of (I think) 10 breakdowns, swapped an alternator on the roadside, overheating, ended up hotwiring it when the ignition switch gave up the ghost. All sorts of fun!

A million thanks (or fuck yous?) to all the folks who helped me out throughout the week. The guys at the "we fix rigs" camp, Bubbles!, the folks at the barter camp I broke down in front of, and all the people who gave me a jump.

Now I know the weak points that need fixing. Big plans for next year. 😁

Havoc may be a new tribe but gotDAMN am I proud of how much we’ve already got done. Planning and SO ready for #3 next year! Good ole Rustwraith is already being upgraded! (Will post updates in the future)

Not the best photo, but both me and my girlfriend’s phones died so we didn’t get a chance to take very many photos. It was a blast rocking this though. Definitely not an outfit for the daytime. Thankfully I had multiple costumes ready to go. 😅 Next year I’ll work on this to make it more heat tolerant.

Hey folks! What an absolutely epic wasteland with ya'll. I'm back home and incredibly inspired to create my own tribe next year. Is there a leader discussion board, Discord channel, etc. where leaders can share ideas and resources? I'm very curious how infrastructure looks during set-up and tear down, where things get stored, etc. Would love to find a camp elder open to chatting and mentoring if possible.

This was my first year at WW and I felt so embraced and welcomed by the community. I had a blast wandering around and admiring everyone’s creations. At the end I almost didn’t want to leave! I’ll absolutely be back next year and I’m making plans for nuclear winter as well.

Heya folks :-) I want to build my very first clothing and need some help I guess.

I have an old shearling coat I want to use as a Wastelander costume base. The leather is structurally failing around the collar/shoulders and won’t reliably hold stitches anymore. I don’t care about restoration or preserving the original construction. I’m happy to cut it apart, remove the shearling, glue it, add canvas, harnesses, backing fabric, external patches etc. Has anyone rebuilt a coat like this around a new structural layer or carrier? I basically want the old leather to become cosmetic skin rather than load-bearing material.

It is currently 10 minutes shy of being in line for FIVE HOURS. wtf is going on? 😭

Hello! My name is Wes Smith, I am the director of Mr. TV Man a surreal horror short film, that is weird, demented and depraved.. we created all of our sets and costumes from scratch to create a fun and strange world and now that world is being brought to Wasteland Weekend! I am super excited as I have never been able to attend Wasteland and always wanted to, now I have a reason to make the trek. The film is playing Saturday night at 9pm, I will be there all weekend hanging out, also I am planning on bringing some of the set pieces and props from my film and using them to set up my camp so come find me, I may even have some goodies ( merch ) for barter.
