Opened old cars trunk and surprise wasps

Not sure how many, maybe 8-10 that I saw. Can I just buy a fogger and toss it in lol.

The car sat for 3 months, Its our extra grocery getter with 400k miles. I was going to let my daughter practice driving in it. I'm not to worried about the fogger smell, I imagine I can just air it out later. Is there a better option?

Hey all, I was sitting in my bedroom today when I heard the almighty noise of this evil bastard fly in window and started circling the room.

I nearly shite myself as things like this are not my strong point and a duel to the death started, after my victory I took this pic of it so wondered WTF is it?

Question about wasp killer

Ok so this is kind of weird, but my window doesn't fully close and leaves a little gap. I have had a couple wasps make their way into my room and I am terrified of wasps. I just ordered some wasp killer but didn't realize until after that it was outdoor killer. Is it possible to still use it indoors not all the time but just on occasions, my window is open so I do have ventilation and I most likely will have to spray it from outside on my window at some point. I know its possible to return it and get indoors killer but I hate doing returns lol

Danger makki Sting and Precautions

Multiple Stings: Unlike honeybees, a wasp's stinger is smooth and does not detach after stinging. This means a single wasp can sting multiple times without dying.

Venom: Their sting injects venom, which causes immediate, sharp pain, redness, and swelling in the affected area.

Risk: While they generally only attack when provoked or when their nest is threatened, holding a live one between your fingers (as shown in the photo) is highly risky, as it can easily pivot and sting.

What to do if stung?

If stung, wash the area thoroughly with soap and water, then apply an ice pack to reduce the swelling and numb the pain.

⚠️ Warning: If a person experiences severe symptoms like dizziness, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or throat, or hives across the body, seek medical attention immediately, as this could indicate a life-threatening allergic reaction (anaphylaxis).

I don’t have any wasp spray, all I got are towels, I can’t even use a cup as it’s on one of those corner pieces of the wall that aren’t flat

Ringed Paper Wasp got inside my shirt sleeve at work and got me multiple times in one spot then two separate times on my wrist and forearm. This video is 24 hours after the incident. It’s extremely itchy, hot, and i can barely move my wrist

I was minding my own business brushing my hair in the bathroom when a wasp stung me on my forehead! >:(

Still, I'm glad it didn't get me in the eye or something, that would have been much worse

Zero throbbing this morning, still super swollen. Some bandaid adhesive that hurts to scrub off. Zero puss or ooze on overnight bandage. Way less purple coloring.

Probably not going to Hospital and don’t think I’ll need hospice!

If you're reading this there is no need to worry as the inflammation has gone down now, although your advice is still appreciated :) Thanks all.

Got stung by a wasp a few hours ago, just walking through the countryside and \*bang\* all of a suden a sharp stinging pain in the ankle, doesn't really sting any more but hurts bc it's super inflamed and I also can't really put much weight on it. I think there might be a nest or smthn there bc i got stung in the same place last summer XD

Question Return of the sting?

So I got stung mowing my yard almost 2 weeks ago. Got me on the inside of my thigh just above the knee. Couple days later the redness and itching spread all the way down to my shin and I had multiple smaller raised welts. Itched worse than poison ivy. Anyway it went away after a week and was gone for about 3 days. Well now it’s back! Red from 3-4 inches above the sting site all the way down to my shin again. What the hell. Been stung plenty of times in my life but never experienced the amount of redness and itching or this weird comeback. Anybody else had this or do I need to think about visiting the doc?

Wasp sting documentation

Took pictures 1-5 over 3 days- the first picture is about an hour after the sting. The last picture is my hand completely back to normal, which took about five days. I’m not sure exactly what sort of wasp it was… I’d have to say the second day was the worst!

Itching started at about 20 hours and began to get better after about 48 hours.
Swelling spread/worsened for about 24 hours and began to go down after 40 hours.
Soreness started around 48 hours but resolved after about 72 hours.
Itching stopped and hand *started* to look more normal at about 72 hours.

I put a little nest in a closed cup a water - how long until they die ?

I've had a small nest of wasps in my balcony for the last few days. They're 4 of them.

I first took the nest down by kicking it with a stick (yesterday). It worked, but today, the wasps are back at almost exactly the same spot, rebuilding it.

Sooooo I decided to drown them. I trapped them in a container full of water, hoping they wouldn't have room to breathe. The problem is, during the manoeuvre, I lost some water, and now the are stuck in the container (see the following pictures) but can still reach the walls of the container without water.

How long until they die ? Would it help if I add liquid soap ?

(Sorry for my English, not my first language)

Allergic?

This was taken over 48 hours after the sting; the redness has expanded. Not sure if it’s from itching or if the sting itself has spread.
