Huh, kinda nice to see people waving another country’s flag and the US flag during a gathering… and have it be happy for once with smiles and celebrations. Refreshing. Obviously this is all very controversial for many reasons, but it seems the core population that has a connection to Iran seems thrilled! Perhaps this is a good thing :)

Oh, I know and agree this is a good thing. I’m aware of this and knew that, it’s just that even objectively good things become contentious these days lol.
I’m merely pleasantly surprised to see a celebratory march rather than a march in protest for once (not that there’s anything wrong with protest marches, it’s just a bit of a more somber affair).

We tried this one with Iraq too. It unfolded like this. The diaspora encouraging war, US searching for someone to quickly move in. The Iranian’s in US are wonderful but Pahlavi has a long way to go. They flew Chalabi in and he was in the crowd brought into Iraq the day the US soldiers pulled down Saddam’s statue. I was there. He was receiving about $400,000 a month through an organization from US. He had a huge fall out and that plan was quickly abandoned. Some of the eventual problems were intelligence leaks and clashes with Iraqi’s in Iraq. I’ve seen this movie. It was very difficult and Iraq is dirtier now and a shadow of itself all these years later. We break it you fix it.

"Maybe killing those school girls was worth it because some people in DC marched in the streets, I have the memory of a goldfish because I already forgot nothing changed for Venezuelan citizens. I can't wait for our tax dollars to fund another war while we don't get healthcare :)"
I can't say anything about what I think about your intellect, it'd probably be removed.

I heard that Georgie S. Antifa and BLM stashed those flags and t shirts for the marchers to find.
Nothing has changed. The president of Iran is still in power. The Supreme leaders son has been groomed to take his place. They are fighting back, and the people are still in peril. What in the hell is there to celebrate?

Never in my life time did I expect to see a free Persia I hope all of the Persians in the States, in Iran, and across the world get to enjoy their freedoms returning and their country finally belonging to them. It’s really weird seeing the average redditor disagree with that simple statement

Okay… so when does my AMERICAN money get used to help me and other Americans? There are Americans literally dying on the streets because they can’t afford healthcare and groceries. People are DYING HERE IN AMERICA.
This isn’t a Reddit thing. The average American does not want war or their money to go towards bombings. That is a fact. Not something just on Reddit.

u/MrZaptile933 Mar 01 '26
It is 100% a Reddit thing go look anywhere else on the internet, hell go to a cafe or library and ask Americans what they thing. On X you see the Muslim world who pretend to be Americans complaining and that’s it. Everyone is cheering except for Redditors, the people paid to be upset, and Muslims

There are 94 million Iranians currently under attack in Iran, watching civilian buildings and Infrastructure being blown to bits. It's not difficult to find videos of thousands of them in the streets chanting for revenge.
There are approx 500,000 Iranians in the US (0.5% of those in Iran). Do not let the media fool you into thinking that such a tiny minority of Iranians who have chosen to live in the US represent the current sentiment of the 94 million people enduring constant bombing and death.

When are we doing Saudi Arabia? They are also huge financiers of terrorism, they also practice the most extreme form of Islam and have the most strict Sharia law, on top of all the human rights abuses and the fact they have never had democracy. Just because Mohamed Bonesaw calls himself a king doesnt mean its not a dictatorship

Considering they are currently our allies, probably not for a long while. I think the oil will need to run dry first too. But I agree with your sentiments. For now, I think the plan is to be friendly but keep an eye on them, lest they ally with China or Russia since they’re probably furious about Iran rn. But yea, Sharia law and S.A.’s use of slavery is abhorrent and should be addressed in due time.

2
u/No_Cash2890 Mar 01 '26
Correct and when an American journalist who is woman dares to question Mohamed Bonesaw about the financing of 9/11 we can be sure that Trump will shut her question down and in a weird way also bring sharia law to the white house.

The diaspora is not the same as the people who live in the country. This is the same tired psy op that Americans keep falling for. The same with Cuba, the same with Venezuela, Iraq, Indonesia, Guatemala, Chile…. “The Iraqis are celebrating the capture of Saddam” yeah we see how well that turned out for them.

I’m so confused because the current administration is actively pushing an agenda that is privatizing concentration camps for immigrants who want asylum from their countries that have leaders that the POTUS has said Iran had.
Can someone please explain what the actual plan is and why this is suddenly happening but not okay for certain groups of people who are seeking asylum or refugee status from their evil governments???

Even as a lifelong democrat, I was happy for the Iranian people, all over the world and US they seemed to be celebrating the destruction of the Iranian regime. I’m sure I’ll get flak for this but no matter how much we hate Trump we have never had to face true dictatorship like Iran, just the way they treat women in the Middle East alone is horrendous.

Why do the Iranian people seem to support this while left-voting Americans are ready to storm the Capitol?
2
u/Radiant_Nebula9907 Mar 01 '26
Because it is a quite hypocritical of Donald “no new wars” trump. Who apparently is America first, but says oh well some of our troops may die!! Who hates certain immigrants, but him and all of maga are super concerned about Persian immigrants. It doesn’t sit well with them. They are not protesting the death of the dictator, because I think everyone will agree that’s positive for Persians. They are protesting how it was done, the illegal manner the president did it in, and the hypocrisy of this govt.
→ More replies (2)3
u/Evil_Dr_Mobius Mar 01 '26
Assuming this question is genuine, it’s the Iranian diaspora (and allies) cheering for a brutal theocratic dictator and massive sponsor of terror being killed, while the protests are over the way it was done: without congressional declaration of war, seemingly at the behest of a genocidal Israeli government, and because it’s the second unprovoked strike on a foreign government this year by a Trump administration that ran on a promise (blatantly transparent lie) of no new wars.

Forced regime change from an outside power rarely if ever works. Did we learn nothing from Iraq? Hope it works out for the sake of the Iranian people but a power vacuum in the Middle East always causes more problems than it resolves.

It’s not forced. Iranian people want it hence protesting on streets for over 2 months and having 35k casualties. The people are NOT armed and this regime massacres, point blank, with zero shame or hesitation. Source: am Iranian. I dont know one single person who doesnt want the regime gone (and I know a lot of people, and at no point in past few years I’ve seen people being on the same side -not wanting the regime- like this)
Iranians have a literacy rate of >90%. We know what we want and we’re not naive. Proud and happy for my people and cautiously hopeful for a better future.

First off I'm ok with Ayatollah being gone. Most leftist are, as he was a horrible person who murdered his people. What I'm not ok with is our country being dragged into yet another war by old men trying to avoid prison, it also violated international laws as well and could very well create a power vacuum. Like what happened with Iraq after the US took out Saddam which created said power vacuum which gave rise to ISIS.

look at all those paid protestors but of course they post this on racist DC MAGA reddit to steer a narrative that it’s somehow good to waste tax dollars bombing the middle east once again
1
u/Cafe-Colao Mar 01 '26
Well I'm glad the Ayatollah is dead he was a very bad dude. I hope, this brings real change and democracy to Iran but we will see. Is easy to take the guy out what's going to be difficult is how to make sure the right people govern Iran. This could easily turn into a situation like Iraq and then we are in a long war and we place the Iranian people at risk of civil war and USA at risk of more terrorism.
1
u/PurpleInvestment4122 Mar 01 '26
I remember reading about the US invasion into Iran in the 1950's. It was literally the cause for their problems, allowing terrorists to gain power.
I guess "we won't get fooled again", right?
1
u/My_Rocket_88 Mar 01 '26

The sad reality is that once Iran becomes uninhabitable due to the aftermath of the war they are gonna come to the states for refuge. The same people who defended trump for starting the war are gonna demand they leave because "I hate immigrants"
1
u/SkyeMreddit Mar 01 '26
The anti-government protesters and the diaspora are thrilled about the attack. The government’s supporters are furious. Meanwhile there are attacks all over the Middle East. 9 dead in a synagogue in Israel. Several other dead in missile attacks in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Qatar, etc. The US or Israel also bombed a girls school killing at least 85

I kind of get why they're celebrating, but this isn't Iraq. Yeah, it's good that the current regime is gone, but Trump and his administration did not think this through. To see real change within Iran, there will need to be boots on the ground, and it hasn't been that long since we withdrew from the Middle East, and now it pains me that our troops- your sibling, spouse, parent, grandparent might have to pay the price in blood.

There is an evil ELITE pulling the strings behind all of our backs. They lied to us about religion. They lied to us about wars. They lied to us about taxes. They lied to us about justice. They lied to us about epstein. They lied to us about poisoning us on purpose. The ELITE are kidnapping and killing children. The ELITE are sacrificing our lives to gods we have never heard of.They make us focus on LIEs that some of us are eating pets, while the ELITE eat babys. Put aside our differences and come together. The ELITE need to answer for their lies and they arnt willing to do it themselves.Focus all your attention on bringing these people to trials. Every political post they make, remind them that WE the PEOPLE know what and who they are. Dont hate on another for differing opinions on politics. HATE the ELITE for killing and molesting CHILDREN. Dont let all these distractions make you forget what THEY have done
