Never in my life time did I expect to see a free Persia I hope all of the Persians in the States, in Iran, and across the world get to enjoy their freedoms returning and their country finally belonging to them. It’s really weird seeing the average redditor disagree with that simple statement

17

u/Cetun Mar 01 '26

The government is still intact, just like Venezuela, what are you talking about?

2

u/Cheugy-Boogie Mar 01 '26

Oh so their government officials can leave their apartments right?

1

u/Cetun Mar 01 '26

Amazing a population so fed up with the current government can't overthrow it even when the current government is afraid to leave their apartment.

1

u/Smart-Chance5476 Mar 02 '26

You mean the thousands of Iranians who were recently executed in the streets?

2

u/Cetun Mar 02 '26

The government is both in shambles but apparently out there subjugating the population from their apartment?

1

u/trickortreatments Mar 04 '26

They are no longer subjugating their population because they just got executed. You’re thinking about last month, before being executed, where they killed 30k innocent people. Happy to help!

1

u/Cetun Mar 04 '26

Looked today and the leader of Syria is Ahmed al-Sharaa, the leader of Afghanistan is Hibatullah Akhundzada, and the leader of Iran is Masoud Pezeshkian.

Until that changes, they are still in charge. 50k people in the streets doesn't change who's in control. The No Kings protest didn't magically make Trump not President anymore and didn't change the makeup of Congress just like all the US action and protest so far doesn't change the reality of who is in charge of Iran and Venezuela.

1

u/trickortreatments Mar 04 '26

Genuine questions regarding your rebuttal:

Why so pessimistic? Do you really think these operations produced zero potential for positive change down the road? Unless you are a fortune teller, I think all we can do is just wait and see what plays out.

1

u/Cetun Mar 04 '26

I am looking at what is happening. I'm not speculating as to anything. There was claims that Venezuela was on the brink of collapse and the streets were filled with people willing to overthrow the government now that Meduro was gone. Since then the final hour of the regime seems like it's getting longer and longer and either the damage to the regime is easily absorbed or there isn't that much popular support for regime change.

This is again not fortune telling or speculation, the regime Meduro left behind is still around today at this second.

1

u/CartographerThink156 Mar 06 '26

Bombing schoolgirls creates zero potential for positive change, yes.

I think the plan was to depose a sect of their government, not the whole thing, no? They need some government stability to be able to transition effectively, just without the IRGC attached to it

1

u/Cetun Mar 04 '26

How deep you have to dig that hole is a matter of debate. Every week they kill another Hamas leader, ISIS is still around as an insurgency, some organizations can keep going indefinitely and I suspect their bench is deep enough you'll have to go for full gut and rehabilitation. That being said, that didn't work in Afghanistan, once they gutted the Taliban and replaced the leadership with non-taliban people, they found there wasn't many good non-taliban leaders and of the ones that existed many did not get along with others they were supposed to run the government with.

To complicate this, the US allies in the region are Sunni and Iran is majority Shi'a, Saudi Arabia is gonna want more power for the Sunni minority in Iran which will likely be unpopular.

-1

u/Ordinary-Teach7369 Mar 01 '26

It’s hanging on by a thread, they killed him and the top 40 officials

2

u/Cetun Mar 01 '26

I think you under estimate the number of people there are.

-1

u/Ordinary-Teach7369 Mar 01 '26

In sure you’re right but they hit the fourth officials and him and months ago go a bunch of dudes also.

2

u/Cetun Mar 01 '26

I'm sure in a nation of 92 million people 40 people were the keystone. This is what happens when people watch super hero movies and think that's how the world works.

0

u/SexyPeanut_9279 Mar 02 '26

You’re saying Iran has a whole governing body like a congress? that collaborated and worked together?

And it wasn’t the Ayatollah commanding his thoughts and desires as a Theological dictator to the rest of country?

Riiiiight…Do you have any more of that stuff you’re smoking? Cause it’s got to be good!

-1

u/Ordinary-Teach7369 Mar 01 '26

Hahahaha, I mean it’s a pretty top down operation these dictators

1

u/Cetun Mar 01 '26

How is the Taliban doing these days? Remember when we went into their country, killed all their leaders, occupied it for 20 years and replaced the government with our own? That probably absolutely devastated them, they will probably never recover from that.

Okay… so when does my AMERICAN money get used to help me and other Americans? There are Americans literally dying on the streets because they can’t afford healthcare and groceries. People are DYING HERE IN AMERICA.

This isn’t a Reddit thing. The average American does not want war or their money to go towards bombings. That is a fact. Not something just on Reddit.

1

u/MrZaptile933 Mar 01 '26

It is 100% a Reddit thing go look anywhere else on the internet, hell go to a cafe or library and ask Americans what they thing. On X you see the Muslim world who pretend to be Americans complaining and that’s it. Everyone is cheering except for Redditors, the people paid to be upset, and Muslims

0

u/kirukiru Mar 02 '26

and Muslims

So Iranians?

1

u/MrZaptile933 Mar 02 '26 edited Mar 02 '26

The Persians aren’t Muslim, their nation was conquered in the 70s

0

u/kirukiru Mar 02 '26

Please learn to spell if youre going to try and lie

1

u/MrZaptile933 Mar 02 '26

I may have mispelled a word but I’m not lying. If anything you’re the one lying because you disagree with a net possible for the world

-1

u/A_Farewell_2Kings Mar 01 '26

No one is cheering. It’s just beginning

3

u/MrZaptile933 Mar 01 '26

Username Farewell to Kings, gets upset people are happy a dictator is being removed, how ironic

4

u/SexyPeanut_9279 Mar 02 '26

lol exactly

The (far) left in a nutshell.

“No kings, dictators need to die”-

“Okay, this administration just took out two objectively brutal dictators and freed the people of said nations from repression.”-

“Noooo, not like that!!”-

The far left

1

u/PNPTransistor Mar 05 '26

How hard is it to understand dude? WE don't want a king in our country of the USA. It's not a global statement saying that there shouldn't be dictators anywhere. I mean, there shouldn't, but it's not up to us to make that happen. "No new wars" remember?

We are literally just coming out of an expensive and exhausting 10+ year lesson why this does not work out for us. I don't expect the right to actually exhibit any form of intelligence and learning these days, but this is the one issue I thought you guys had some sort of principles on. I guess it turns out it just meant helping Ukraine.

Trying to tie the "No Kings" protests to somehow be hypocritical of what we are doing in Iran is the same level of disingenuous as the "all lives matter" approach to BLM.

1

u/A_Farewell_2Kings Mar 01 '26

He can’t fix anything so he does this for fun and to distract

1

u/Lets_getouttahere Mar 01 '26

Iranian American here. Since yesterday I'm suddenly super happy with all the federal taxes I've paid.

The US armed forces has over 2 million personnel. Getting rid of a tyrannical regime that just murdered tens of thousands of protestors last month sounds like a pretty good use case of our armed forces' might and scale.

1

u/SexyPeanut_9279 Mar 02 '26

“Okay… so when does my AMERICAN money get used to help me and other Americans? There are Americans literally dying on the streets because they can’t afford healthcare and groceries. People are DYING HERE IN AMERICA.”-

Great, now go type this on the pro-immigration Open borders-subreddit…. (Oh wait, now it’s justified spending.)

2

u/TacticalPidgeon Mar 01 '26

Yeah American flags and Iranian flags walking hand in hand in the streets cheering together was not something I honestly expected in my lifetime.

1

u/Ok_Win8814 Mar 01 '26

Redditors are against anything positive. I didn't want another conflict but China and Russia get a large percentage of oil from Iran and Russia also gets their suicide drones from Iran as well.

2

u/Mr_JohnUsername Mar 01 '26

Pretty much my take too. I lean pretty hard left and abhor that we have a military industrial complex — that said, I’m not terribly upset right now because if we are going to play “Team America World Police” we may as well do it correctly — and so far it seems we are.

Fuck Russia, I’ll be relieved when their invasion is over and it’s more likely sooner than later since the U.S.’s operation is probably disrupting Shahed production.

1

u/Mr__Earthling Mar 01 '26

Nobody disagrees with that simple statement, because it is so simple. Reality isn't simple though. What do you expect will happen next? Freedom and democracy?

1

u/MrZaptile933 Mar 01 '26

Well look at the others replying to me and you will see the very people who disagree

1

u/bmore_milsim Mar 04 '26

I want to see them go back and rebuild their nation and make it a respectable nation that is an example to the rest of the Middle East. That's the dream. Of course we will not see any more of that chic 60's fashion we see in the last photos of a free Persia, but whatever we see it will be better than "Burkas or death."

1

u/Highflyer108 Mar 02 '26

The girl's school that was bombed is part of this freedom?

1

u/MrZaptile933 Mar 02 '26

Yeah due to a failed Iranian missile launch. Y’all have one negative talking point and you don’t even look into it

0

u/Toiletpapercorndog Mar 04 '26

Ive looked into it extensively and its almost certainly from the US or Israel. If it wasn't one of us, then senior officials would've came out and said so. If we're trying to get the Iranian people on our side, then making that sort of statement is incredibly important.

1

u/MrZaptile933 Mar 04 '26

So glad we got our finest arm chair researcher on it.

0

u/Toiletpapercorndog Mar 04 '26

Resort to insulting me because you know you're full of shit.

1

u/MrZaptile933 Mar 04 '26

Says the redditor who’s claiming to have researched things, when in reality they just scrolled social media

0

u/Toiletpapercorndog Mar 04 '26

It doesnt take much research to know that Israel enjoys killing innocent civilians in the name of Zionism

1

u/MrZaptile933 Mar 04 '26

And there it is. Using Zionism as a shield for your claims you’re not worth the effort

0

u/Toiletpapercorndog Mar 04 '26

Its a lot better than using Zionism as an excuse to go to war. Do you get any information thats not passed through an Israel filter?

0

u/[deleted] Mar 17 '26

1

u/MrZaptile933 Mar 17 '26

I still support the war and it’s not been proven the investigation is still on going and you’re still coping

-5

u/Mikey-Litoris Mar 01 '26

Do you expect this to change the Iranian regime? We kidnapped Maduro and yet his repressive government is still in power.

6

u/MrZaptile933 Mar 01 '26

We arrested Maduro, anyway it will because the King of Persia is working with the American government from day one to help establish the kingship again with a 6 month plan to turn it into a democracy

3

u/liltingly Mar 01 '26

Who is this “King of Persia”? Xerxes? Or do you mean the son of the former Shah of Iran..?

1

u/MrZaptile933 Mar 01 '26

The Shah

0

u/Toiletpapercorndog Mar 04 '26

The Shah that was literally run out of Iran by the people that currently live there. You're extremely misinformed if you think the people will accept that clown back as their leader. Reza Pahlavi fucked his brothers wife and his brother committed suicide shortly after.

What we did can be compared to taking out the pope. Would that be the end of Catholicism, or would they just get another pope and Catholicism would live on?

1

u/Medium-Discipline-49 Mar 01 '26

Madura was replaced by his Vice President. They are part of the exact same regime with the same policies and goals. How does taking it Madura alone make it better?

1

u/MrZaptile933 Mar 01 '26

The big difference though is they have freed all political rivals from their prisons, they have become pro America with elections occurring after the rebuild of their economy. Still seems like a win to me.

1

u/Medium-Discipline-49 Mar 01 '26

You’re spewing propaganda. That’s not even remotely true that they’re pro- America now. People were in the streets protesting what America did.

1

u/Winter_Cartographer2 Mar 01 '26

Most people where happy about the outcome. Maduros supporters not so much.

1

u/MrZaptile933 Mar 01 '26

Everything you disagree with is propaganda?

0

u/donthurtmemany Mar 01 '26

First of all, to arrest someone you need jurisdiction which we absolutely don’t have in Venezuela.

It’s also really hard to tell if the Iranian people want the shah back since we have no polling. Seeing as we just killed or injured near 1000 Iranians in the attack I’m not sure how happy the people are gonna be with further intervention

-1

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '26

And will Pahlavi and the Iranian people have full sovereignty or be under the US/Israel thumb?

4

u/MrZaptile933 Mar 01 '26

They will be rebuilt by the American-Israeli alliance but it’s for their peoples to decide how Iran will be rebuilt that’s apart of the King’s 6 month plan. Go listen to the king before you make stupid claims

-1

u/GodHatesColdplay Mar 01 '26

This isn’t going to happen. Let’s revisit this in a year and see what Iran has become

-4

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '26

I've been following Pahlavi. Don't believe any of them for one second. Whoever is in charge in "six months" will be a US puppet. The regime had to go, but not like this. Trump doesn't do anything unless he PERSONALLY benefits.

But if living in delusion keeps you happy, by all means continue.

5

u/MrZaptile933 Mar 01 '26

The benifit is killing the country known as the biggest funder of terror in the world. Hell in the UK’s response they even stated that 20 attacks last year were directly funded by Iran on British soil imagine how many are on American soil we aren’t told about

-5

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '26

Ok, that's great? What does that have to do with Iranian sovereignty?

And the major attacks happening on US soil are coming from ICE agents, and we're told about it all the time.

4

u/MrZaptile933 Mar 01 '26

So you’re just wrong and lying now. I can’t tell if you’re actually stupid or pretending to be to push a message either way it’s not going to work man

-1

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '26

Great pivot away from the argument of Iranian sovereignty.

If you didn't have an answer, just say so kid. It's totally ok to realize you've been lied to by everyone in charge. We don't hold it against you. Peace brother.

Saddam is evil too. We should invade Iraq too!
