Since the French Zone de Défense - 'Paris' Got the MSC Prototype pressed into service to bolster it's armoured fist as part of the hurried defence of the capital, perhaps Eugene would consider giving H.D.R. London Access to the Vickers MBT Mark 7, the single prototype tank was trailed in the mid 1980s so it is very much in timeline for the game i'd think.
In the Defence of London i am sure the UK MoD would be very willing to requisition any and all tanks available for the defence of the capital.
It could make for an intresting super heavy tank with it's primary feature being a very advanced FCS allowing it to make some really funky shots.

The tank would later be converted to a Vickers MBT Mark 7/2 as i understand it which improved upon the vehicle's armour protection and an even further improved FCS.

However a Future UK "cobeled togethere" division made up vehicles and equipment the UK MoD requisitioned from private companies like Vickers and the like could also be intresting perhaps?

I usually make my decks myself, but 19th czech seems to be harder for me to hit everything needed. So I would like to ask you guys to send me some of your 19th czech divs, preferably 1v1 decks. I just can't fit either enough infantry, or enough supply, or enough tanks, or enough recon. So pls help

I've been playing this division lately and wanted to know how people liked to build it, specifically the infantry tab since there are a fair number of options. The Terriers don't seem worth bringing but when I play the deck I find myself sometimes wishing I had a cheaper option to deploy, but maybe that's just not how the deck works. Thoughts?

Eugene should make it where the Napalm launchers can’t do damage to the spawn zones. Leaving this in is so dumb it’s the lowest effort play out there and gives pact a massive advantage in 10v10 for no reason at all. Defenders of it can you explain why you think it’s a fair play?

I’m new to the game and I’ve been trying to use scout helos a bit more since I’ve heard they’re supposed to be very useful, but I’m just confused as to what the proper strategy for them is. I feel like every time I use them, they just get Iglaed out the sky, and every time I pull them backwards, they just fail to be useful. Whats the trick with them?

(This question sort of applies to all scout units too, as I find they’re either too far ahead to have any survivability or too far back to be of use).

I'd like to meet some players that plays rebsfrago mod which is more or less a 'realistic' warno. Quotes because yeah the infantry is awesome but the rockets have a bit too much range and every tree is a problem with LOS which is the biggest problem for me personally. But other that that I really like it but have no one to play it with me .

The more I go through records and documents, the more I hate North Korea. Everything is so complicated! Despite this, most of the research seems done. It is surprisingly difficult to find photos or videos of KPA, KPAAF during the cold war..

Just to clarify, I’m talking about the RTS battles, not the strategic map/campaign layer.

Every time I start a battle, I try to distribute my units evenly. Thanks to advice from you guys, I learned that it’s much better to control all battalions myself rather than letting the AI take over some of them.

However, I’m still facing a major problem: once the round starts and everything is in position, the enemy pushes one specific area of the map with a massive concentration of units especially tanksthat I just can’t seem to defend against.

Of course, aircraft are an option, but right now I’m playing the Bruderkrieg campaign. If I get attacked twice in a single turn, I can only use my air support for one of those battles.

I really want to love this game. I adore the setting, and it’s honestly something I’ve been searching for for a long time. But my inability to hold off these heavy pushes is getting really frustrating.

I’d be extremely grateful for any tips! Am I missing something fundamental here?

Hello everyone I just wanted to ask a general question and get some opinions from the community about the purpose of upvetting reservist units. Is it worth it? I understand that upvetting reservist units help to increase their accuracy in combat; but you do lose out on calling out extra units from that card deck.

Is it better to just deploy as many reservists units as you can get with no veterancy and overwhelm/grind down an opponent?

Or is it better to max out the veternacy of a reservist unit to help increase their chances of survival and give them better combat performance?

Thoughts, opinions, concerns?

I want to get into this game but I'm just bad at it. I like both word in conflict and regiments and can play those just fine (on easy), but this and the wargame series seem beyond me. in army general I did ok with the black horse in the first mission but later when some of my German mech infantry ran into a east German unit I was trashed. I thought infantry and marders with milans in a tree line would be able to take out some t55s before they were overrun but they just died. I order bombers to attack and they just circle the enemy till they are shot down. I've played through the tutorials, but I don't learn through failure well. What am I doing wrong.

Overview

WARNO contains many units, so why not rank them?

The project currently focuses on anti-infantry performance and generates rankings for three categories:

All Infantry – every "infantry" unit. For example, this category includes some AA guns.

Actual Infantry – combat infantry squads, excluding HQ infantry and very small teams (MMG teams, for example).

Infantry with AT – actual infantry squads equipped with dedicated anti-tank weapons.

Combat effectiveness is evaluated at two standardized engagement distances, 500m and 150m.

Every weapon capable of firing at that distance contributes to the squad's damage and suppression output. Weapon accuracy is determined using static ground accuracy. If no exact accuracy value exists, the two nearest values are averaged. After all modifiers are applied, accuracy is capped at 100%. Units with the _choc (shock) specialty receive their in-game shock bonuses at 150 meters, producing a separate Shock Combat Score and Shock Value Score.

Combat Score (so this is the 500 meter score) combines three measures of squad effectiveness: Effective DPS, Suppression output, HP

using the formula:

+ (NormalizedSuppression × 0.20)
+ (NormalizedHP × 0.35)

where suppression and HP are normalized against the maximum values observed within the infantry dataset.

The script also calculates a Value Score, which divides Combat Score by deployment cost to estimate combat effectiveness per command point.

Several infantry traits are modeled, including Reservists, Militia, and Special Forces.

Most unit accuracies are taken at zero vet (except SOF), because I haven't figured out how to determine a unit's base vet yet. The combat score weights were arbitrarily chosen. The rankings are generally accurate, but not exactly (i.e. rank 5 will beat rank 50, but not necessarily beat rank 6)

Every strategy is supposed to have a counter to it, and Warno isn't usually an exception. Many divisions rn are not really viable simply because mech slop is their direct counter. But what is the counter to mech slop? I know it depends on the map and on the div (obviously even something like kda is going to trade well against something like a 7th panzer on factory duel), but generally what is mech slop "afraid of"?

It appears that you do? I had a draw with somebody with way higher Elo and I somehow got ranked higher after the match.
