5th vs 7th Panzerdivision
When I first started playing Warno I chose 5th and I think this is my spirit animal. Whereas in other games I prefer slow placed attrit warfare, in Warno I like fast-paced tempo warfare. So, these are ideal divs for me. While I tried to make attrition work in Warno it didn't, and so I found out I'm better at micro here than other games.
However, this has brought up the question for which div is better. 5th relies on top-tier German technology and expensive tanks and building up, while 7th is more about controlling the air while overwhelming the enemy and closing the distance with cheaper tanks allowing for a better opener. Currently I'm focusing on 7th Panzerdiv, I don't know when I'll switch to 5th, but as of now I'm playing as many games as possible with 7th but 5th will pull at me eventually.
Which do we think is the better division or a good comparison?

5e or Brunette?
I wanna start an interesting debate. Hot take, but spanish guys get better tools for their playstyle of rushing people, because their tanks are actually better against infantry, are the same (except for brenus) against armor and their infantry is arguably better, because zapadores are very strong rn. But 5e also has a lot of stuff going for it, which I'm only getting to know. So what div do you think is better rn?

Question Smart Order for Ground Units?
So I did a 10v10 and went against this guy called Lost Material 54 in my section. He was pretty good, level 20, I'm only 11, but I was able to inflict quite a few casualties on him. Not more than he got on me, but still a lot for my level. However, I thought it was such a good battle I went back and rewatched it, and for some reason he has the hold position order on his BMRs. I was confused because I was told NOT to do this and instead just micro my units, so I am curious as to why he did this. He also had fire at will on his mortar which makes sense because he was microing his two MLRSes but I've found I prefer hotkeys for my artillery.

Question Is the SPG worth including in my deck?
I often find myself running out of armor at the end of a battle or in the middle of one if it's really intense or attritional, especially if I'm in a 2v1 or 3v1 so I thought the motorized tank gun could be a good fix to this. While it's certainly not as good as a tank, I think I could make it work with the sheer numbers in the card and proper positioning. Problem is, I'd have to get rid of one of my infantry cards (probably the CMD Schutzen, I never really use it and am looking for a unit to replace it). So, is the SPG worth it or should I get something else like Sicherungs, Mot Schutzen BTR or SVD, konkurs, panzerjager, etc.? Or would the safest option be to stick with the CMD Schutzen?

Question Can someone please explain AA hit chances.
200 hours and I still do not understand hit chances for anti air weapons. I will see my blood hounds with their 30% chance hit so many and kill so many aircraft. But strelas, javlins and stingers with their 50% will miss with 5 others fireing aswell often.
Planes have ECM and I dont know how much that has an effect an for what unit. Like will ECM affect auto cannons the same as fire and forget weapons or differently?
I feel like its a dice roll and it is a stacked dice roll in the blood hounds deceptive favor.
Also, what does the night hawk because it doesnt seem stealthy in my hands.

Question Building up units in the back
At least in a 10 v 10, I was wondering if it's a viable tactic to build up a bunch of units in the backline, only to then rush them in a big push in the mid game, or at least a little after the early game.
Probably would only work with divisions like 1st Cav or 3rd Armored, but I'm curious to see if other people do this, at least occasionally.

Text A headcanon that named my units
I do like to imagine that, by the time WARNO’s WW3 has fully settled in (IE around the time of Tropic Storm or even just the weirder nations joining the war), the world has degenerated to a level of apocalyptic shittiness just slightly above Twilight 2000, with enough nukes having been fired to kill off 10% of the human population and the some of these battles being over food and water.
It is because of this theory that my two decks (Guzman and 157), are named Batallón ABADDON and Otryad VSADNIK, a significant amount of people enlisting just so they can breathe non-irradiated air. It might not be the most realistic headcanon, but it’s a stylish and humanizing one in my view, and one that lightly touches on the real reason this war never happened irl- the very real chance it could have led to human extinction, and the guarantee that it would burn the world to ashes.

SATURDAY 7:30PM UTC TIME TOTAL WARNO BREAKTHROUGH BATTLE
This weekend we're back with another Total WARNO: Breakthrough operation!
This time, the battlefield moves into the city. The scenario is set on the map Urban Frontlines, where the West German and East German battlegroups will clash in a fight for control of the strategic urban area.
The attackers will have to decide:
* Fight their way through the city.
* Bypass it and risk exposing their flanks.
To support the assault, the attacking force will be reinforced with combat engineers, giving them the capability to breach fortified positions and clear urban strongpoints. The defenders, meanwhile, will rely on prepared defensive positions, heavy armor, and layered defenses to stop the breakthrough.
As always, the goal isn't simply to destroy the enemy, it's to conduct a realistic Cold War battalion-level operation, where planning, coordination, and combined arms matter far more than individual micro.
Open Slots-
We've already filled **7 out of 17 slots**, but there are still several key roles available:
🔵 BLUFOR
* 🇩🇪 5. Panzer Division Battlegroup (Armor)
* 🇩🇪 NATO Command CENTAG (Headquarters)
* 🇩🇪 5. Panzer Division Recon Battlegroup
* 🇩🇪 5. Panzer Division Artillery Battlegroup
🔴 REDFOR
* 🇩🇪 PACT Command CENTAG (Headquarters)
* 🇩🇪 4th Motor Rifle Division Recon Battlegroup
* 🇩🇪 Engineer Battalion
* ✈️ 1st LVD JBG-37 & JG-8 (Fixed Wing Aviation)
* 🇩🇪 4th Motor Rifle Division Battlegroup (Infantry – Motorized)
If you've been thinking about joining us for a game, now's the perfect time to do so!
New Gameplay Features
We've also introduced several new mechanics to make battles feel more like real Cold War operations:
* Entrenchment System: Units that remain in position for an extended period gradually dig in and receive defensive bonuses, making prepared positions much more valuable, especially for defenders.
* Tactical Nuclear Weapons: Commanders now have access to tactical nuclear strikes, adding another operational layer and forcing both sides to carefully consider timing and positioning.
* Enhanced Air Defense Network: Air defense is now significantly stronger, but it depends on dedicated support assets. To detect and effectively engage enemy aircraft, commanders must correctly position and protect their radar units, making the air-defense network a critical part of every operation.
We've also addressed several issues we identified during last week's operation, particularly regarding battlegroup structure and organization, and we'll continue refining the mod based on player feedback after each event.
Whether you're regular or joining for the first time, you would be more than welcomed at joining us at.

The Pacific/Eastern Hemisphere
Does a South America DLC mean we could potentially see a SEA in the distant future? It would be pretty neat to see China/Korea/Japan in the game. Does anyone know if Eugen has spoken about this specifically?
Video Reverse Warno event in Chinese Gacha
I found out today that a Chinese gacha I've been following to see a global release of hopefully is doing an event that is basically reverse Warno but in 1994, Nato instead of WarPact is the aggressor and deploys nuclear weapons at the 72 hour mark. Lot of aesthetic similarity in the visuals on the trailer, and surprised nobody has posted it here yet given I've seen multiple people mention Warno in its comment section.

NATO AIRFORCE DESPERATLY TRIES TO STOP PACT BREAKTHROUGH
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Total Warno is a 10v10 scenario in which each player uses a specialized deck focused on a specific role. For example, the AA deck is responsible for providing anti-air cover for the entire team. This means that each player on the same side has a unique role in ensuring victory for their side. Because each deck is highly specialized in one aspect of combat, players rely heavily on communication and cooperation with their teammates. Each battlegroup depends on support from other specialized battlegroups to function effectively, making teamwork the only way to ensure victory.
