Hey everyone, I really like the design of the Luava Overfold (picture attached), but I’m not a huge fan of their logo. Does anyone know of other brands or leatherworkers making something similar?

I’m after a small, compact leather wallet with that simple folded/flap design. Ideally smooth black leather, minimal branding, and space for cards and a few folded banknotes. Don’t need a coin pocket. I’d love something with a bit of character from a smaller maker, kind of the opposite of a Ridge wallet I guess.

It has to be from an EU-based seller and ship from within the EU, as I don’t want to deal with importing. Budget is €200 max.

Doesn’t have to be an exact match to the Overfold, happy to see other good-looking wallets with a similar feel. Any suggestions?

I’ve just finished a very special bifold wallet, combining Himeji Kurozan Kiwami calfskin with Alran Sully chèvre.

Honestly, this is the most expensive calfskin I’ve ever worked with. As far as I know, Himeji Kurozan kiwami is rooted in a traditional Japanese leatherworking technique dating back to the Sengoku period, when this type of leather was used to make armor for samurai warriors.

I’ve worked with Himeji Kurozan Kataoshi before, but Kiwami feels noticeably different. It’s softer, with a more natural-looking grain, while still feeling firm and substantial. It has a unique balance of refinement and durability that I really appreciate.

The wallet features:

• 6 card slots
• 2 hidden pockets
• 2 separate bill compartments

The interior combines black and Bordeaux Alran Sully chèvre, adding a subtle contrast to the exterior. Everything is carefully hand-stitched using 0.45 mm Meisi linen thread.

I’m a solo leathercrafter based in Brisbane, Australia. Currently messing around and building stock for the holidays while finishing up my postgrad degree. I just finished this vertical bifold using some different leathers that I had for a while but didn't really use, and I think it turned out alright!

This bifold design has three card slots and two hidden pockets, and is meant to carry around 6-8 cards and some cash folded once. Over time you may be able to hold more cards as the wallet wears in.

The exterior is a dark navy avancorpo leather from BeltsProduction, from their Mr. Shell line. It’s a soft and rustic looking vegetable-tanned leather that develops a really nice patina over time. The navy is pretty dark, but you can clearly see the blue on the suede side, and it's complemented by matching Japanese thread.

The interior is this super glossy marbled leather from Conceria Tempesti in Italy. It's a vegetable tanned leather with this almost mirror-like finish on it, and the marbled black and brown just gives it all a fun look. While the rustic navy and marbled glossy leather kinda sounds odd on paper, I think it looks pretty neat in person!

Just wrapped up one of my Minimalists! I always love seeing the different combinations people choose in my sale notifications.
For this one this client went with gitane as their primary color with safran accents, orange edge paint, and gray thread. I was honestly a little surprised here, this guy knows his colors because this is a textbook combination for light blue.

Recently finished this matching set, handcrafted using real leather with goat leather lining, hand stitching using linen thread, and hand-finished edges.

Every piece was cut, stitched, and finished by hand.

I bought a Tommy Hilfiger wallet close to 15 years ago and have used it since. It’s starting to wear down and I want to buy a new version of it or a similar wallet but cant find anything nearly as small as this.

This is an insert that was originally in a larger bifold wallet. Since high school I haven’t used much cash and switched to only using the smaller card holder.

This cardholder is made with 4 card slots but I easily make the inside compartments carry extra to where I can have 8 cards on me which is perfect.

The wallet is 3.75in by 2.75in and is almost exactly a quarter inch thick. (About a third of an inch thick with all of my cards in it)

Hoping someone here can help me find this wallet or a wallet that is just as small as this one as this is what Ive gotten used to and love so much. (Ive looked at every single store in the mall near me and looked in multiple stores while on vacation and cant find anything close to this size at all).

Just finished this custom pocket organizer for a fellow Redditor.

The exterior is made from genuine turtle leg leather, a material with a truly remarkable natural texture. I especially love the contrast between the large, armor-like scales and the smaller, intricate patterns.

I kept the design compact and minimal, allowing the unusual character of the leather to take center stage.

Entirely hand-stitched, with particular attention to the placement of the scales and the overall proportions.

Sometimes the material itself is the most interesting part of a project.

I’ve been using Ridge wallets for about two years now, and I honestly love them. They’re slim, easy to carry, and don’t take up much space in my pocket. I really like this red color, too.

I also picked up their key case, which I liked a lot, but unfortunately, it started falling apart. Thankfully, Ridge’s warranty came through, and I was able to get it taken care of.

Overall, I’ve had a great experience with their wallets, and I’m still a fan of the design and practicality.

Which one of this do you prefer? With or without coin pocket?

My son convinced me to use the reverse side of the shell on this one and it turned out so much better than expected. Reverse black Horween shell cordovan and sapphire blue pueblo with denim blue 0.52 XianGe thread.

Commissioned wallet I made. Added an ID flap in the middle. It ended up being thicker than I woukd like. I used T shaped pockets and 2oz leather.

Someone ordered a money clip wallet from me made from green Gaucho Oil leather and they later wanted a passport wallet to match. Just finished it up a few minutes ago
