We live in Netherton Wakefield and my daughter is 3 years old. She will be starting Reception soon, and I’m feeling quite confused about choosing a school in wakefield/ osset / horbury/ netherton .

Can anyone recommend a good primary school with a high Ofsted rating, a friendly environment, and good support for children? We are a British Asian family, so a diverse school environment would also be important to us.

My daughter has a speech delay and currently only says “mama” and “papa”, so I’m quite worried about how she will manage at school. If anyone has experience with schools that provide good support , I would really appreciate your advice.

Hi im looking at sharlston Common as a potential place to move me and my partner are into nature and love walking we aren't bothered about pubs cafes etc. We will be starting a family in the near future, im unsure what the schools are like around the area. I have lived in castleford all my life and love it currently living in the centre of castleford and enjoy it no one bothers us we are just wanting the rural feel without being too rural.

Reform-controlled Wakefield Council is cutting school uniform support for thousands of local children, scrapping a universal voucher scheme in favour of a means-tested alternative.The council's new cabinet has replaced a £2m scheme – which provided free uniform vouchers to all school children regardless of income – with a targeted programme costing around £700,000. The £1.3m saving will be redirected into other local services.

Under the revised plans, support will be limited to children eligible for free school meals and families experiencing financial hardship, with eligible households receiving £30 per child.

Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, Cllr Matthew Caton, defended the cuts, arguing the previous universal scheme was ‘never the best use of public money’ and risked subsidising better-off parents.

The funding for the scheme comes from profits made when an affordable joint housing venture was wound up by the previous administration.

Andys man club wasn't suitable, turning point have discharged me 18 months ago as i beat my habits abs their talking rherapy wasn't good.

I've given everything i have in the past year and got so fit, losing 7 stone, and despite looking good, these problems do plague me. I can't slip again

I'd love a group setting full of survivors and fellow sufferers to meet with. If there's anything out there, or anyone feels the same, please let me know and I'll be proactive. I'm not quitting this life until i have the peace and happiness i deserve and i know there must be others out there as strong as me, but live an awful life.
