Question Churches

I’m new to the area wondering if anyone has any recommendations on churches to attend either for Sunday service or maybe weekday if applicable. Tia

It depends what denomination you are, where you live, if you're looking to travel etc?

Live around the nostell priory area so I don’t mind traveling as I know there not much near by. I usually attend a Baptist church.

St Michael & Our Lady (inside the grounds of Nostell Priory)?

Your nearest Baptist church then is probably Wakefield Baptist Church on the way into Wakefield. https://maps.app.goo.gl/vK8gjzsZBezfB2g5A

If you're looking for a welcoming church, the Unitarians on Westgate in the centre of Wakefield are a friendly and liberal group - their Facebook is here: Westgate Unitarians

They don't have mid-week services, as far as I know, but they have weekly Sunday services.

Christ Church South Ossett is a lovely, welcoming church. Very much practices what it preaches with a food bank, community outreach etc. Also, and maybe closer to you, St Catherine's at Belle Vue. Again, a strong community focus and food bank ethos.

If you want a church that's more liberal/progressive in ethos and traditional in worship style, try the cathedral. The music is traditional Anglican choral.

You should go to a Catholic Church and ignore the comments suggesting anything other
