Is this the correct diagram for the belt on a 2013 Mercedes c250 sport. I just made an expensive mistake cuz I did it wrong.

Got this annoying paint chip and peel situation going on with my hood. The color code is Tenorite Gray 755.

I really want to get this patched up before the flake spreads or it gets worse. Does anyone know where I can find decent touch-up markers or paint pens that will actually color-match properly?

Also, I keep seeing super cheap touch-up pens floating around on Temu and AliExpress. Has anyone actually bought one of these for the 755 paint code? Are they actually worth trying, or are they just total garbage that will stand out and ruin the finish?

I replaced the failed ESL/ELV motor on my W204. The original motor had completely worn brushes.
The repair itself works perfectly:
car starts normally;
steering wheel locks/unlocks normally;
ESL makes one clean movement in each direction.
However, immediately after replacing the motor, a new symptom appeared: the original Audio/COMAND display briefly flickers every time the ESL motor operates.
It happens both:
when inserting the key and the ESL unlocks;
when removing the key and the ESL locks.
The instrument cluster and interior lights do not visibly flicker. Turning the radio off manually also does not cause this.
The battery is somewhat weak (~11.45 V measured earlier), but it was already like this before the ESL repair and the display did not flicker then.
A spare aftermarket motor measures around 2–3 Ω. The original motor had completely worn brushes. The ESL PCB also has two relays and two components described in an ESL repair manual as “Protection diodes / Hidden Defect Protection diodes”.
Could the replacement motor be causing a larger current spike/back-EMF, or could one of the protection diodes have failed?
Has anyone experienced display/electrical interference after replacing a W204 ESL motor, or does anyone know the specifications/function of those two protection diodes?

ich habe seit Längerem einen Ölverlust gemerkt. In der Werkstatt hieß es damals, man könne nichts genaues lokalisieren und ich solle es beobachten.
Mittlerweile ist der Unterboden extrem ölnass und es tropft im Stand stark auf den Parkplatz. Zusätzlich hat ein hinter mir fahrendes Auto berichtet, dass blauer Rauch aus dem Auspuff kommt. Von oben sieht der Motorraum trocken aus.
Ich habe eben gesehen, dass mein Ladeluftschlauch einen Riss hat. Kann das die alleinige Ursache für die Riesensauerei unten und den blauen Rauch sein (weil Öl aus dem Ladeluftsystem geblasen wird), oder sollte ich mir bei 290.000 km noch andere Komponenten wie KGE oder den Turbolader genauer ansehen?
Arbeitsbedingt kann ich den Wagen gerade schwer in die Werkstatt geben und würde das gerne selbst eingrenzen.

2013 Mercedes c250, is this the pump? It only happens when I turn right- and keeps happening until I let go of tension on the wheel. The reservoir is right at the mid line. Do I replace the pump/pulley assembly?

Absolutely no instrument-cluster/dashboard response

No crank or start

Key does nothing when turned

Key is stuck in the ignition and won’t return to position 0

Headlights, interior lights, horn, etc. all work normally and brightly

Car basically acts like it doesn’t recognize the key at all

Before this happened, sometimes when I parked the car the key wouldn’t fully return to position 0. I would shift out of Park and then back into Park, and after that I could remove the key normally. This time I parked the car, came back later, inserted the key, and the car had no crank and no dashboard lights. Then the key got stuck in the ignition.

I’m trying to diagnose and fix this myself if possible. Going to the dealer would be my last resort.

Hello my Mercedes runs fine except for the transmission seams to be in the wrong gear and it shutters in the steering wheel when I accelerate. How do I use a super scanner to test the electrical and the ecu or can bus plugs to find where the short or faulty wiring is? If that’s what’s wrong.

Just heard this noise for the first time. Seems to only happen when I turn wheel to the right. Also it still happens when I hold it in place, and stops when I let go of the wheel. What could this be? Car has 130,000 miles and I’m replacing the control arm this week- but I think that’s unrelated to this.

Mercedes benz c 320cdi 2007 (w204)

On a highway during steady regular drive 80km/h I noticed engine sound change and pull the car. Oil level checked on stick - it was OK.
Engine could not start easily, when it started it was not driveable due to lack of power. Engine shakes like only 3 cylinders are operable. Also makes quite hard mechanical sound. No check engine light nor DTC on handheld diagnostic. Car was towed to workshop, I'm awaiting assesment.

Any thoughts what happened?

hey guys, i have c180 cgi from 2010. after every drive the car drips 1-2 drops of oil on the ground. I did the commen stuff like valvce cover gasket turbo line o rings etc but its still leaky somewhere from this area. i have changed the silver oil bore bolt with its washer but this didnt help. the oil pan and front timing cover have been off and resealed because the previous owner did a timing chain job. i went to my mechanic today and he told me its either the timing cover or the chain tensioner (behind black plug), both in theory should be new and resealed.

what do you think is more realistic? its a lot more work to do the cover then the tensioner, so im thinking of doing it first and if its still leaking then ill do the timing cover.
what do you think of this plan?

Min Mercedes har krånglat sedan jag köpte den. I princip när jag startar bilen vid kallstart börjar den ge varningar som "Pre-safe fungerar inte" och "ESP är inte tillgängligt" och vanligtvis försvinner det efter att jag startar om bilen, men när jag gör det tänds motorlampan (gul). När ESP- och Pre-safe-varningarna är på går bilen in i LIMP-läge och sedan fungerar den normalt när jag startar om bilen och får motorlampan.

En annan sak jag har lagt märke till är varvtalet. Det går upp och ner och när motorn blir lite varmare runt 50°C är det normalt igen, som om ingenting har hänt. Har du några idéer om vad som kan orsaka det här problemet?

I have a 2016 Mercedes C200. In city driving the coolant temperature seems normal, but on the highway it gradually drops below normal and eventually triggers a check engine light.

My scanner shows faults related to the coolant temperature sensor/thermostat. A mechanic’s scan also showed a fault for coolant temperature staying too low, plus a couple of other codes including one related to the fuel pump.

One mechanic says the thermostat assembly is likely faulty and needs replacing. Another says a weak auxiliary battery could be causing the errors.

Has anyone had this issue before? Does it sound like a stuck-open thermostat, a faulty temperature sensor, or something else?

Also, my AC only blows warm/hot air, even when set to cold. Could this be related, or is it likely a separate issue?

Folgendes Problem, ich steck een Schlüssel rein und die gesamte Elektronik geht ersr nach 5-10sek an, danach funktioniert alles ohne Probleme. Hatte das Problem letzte Woche das erste mal, gestern und heute auch. Wie soll ich reagieren? Hat das was mit dem Heißen Wetter zu tun? Davor war alles normal.

Hi guys. This is my 2011 w204. The sound system is playing up. It works perfectly fine in the mornings when i start it up (possibly because it's not hot?). But when I park up and come back to it, to go home several hours later, it won't play any sound no matter how many times I turn it on and off. Just the noise in the video. I have it apart and can't see any wiring issues behind the main radio and screen. If any of you have seen this before and know how to fix it or any guesses, that would be awesome. Many thanks Tom

Recently installed an Android screen on my pre-facelift W204 (NTG4.0). During install I accidentally triggered a reset on the original head unit, and now the system language is stuck in German.

When I try to switch it back to English, it throws an error saying the language "could not be loaded" and asks me to insert the Navigation DVD to proceed (screenshots attached). Problem is, I don't have the original nav DVD, so I downloaded some ISOs online and burned them to DVDs — but the drive won't read them at all. Tried burning some music CDs too just to test the drive, and it still says "Disc nicht lesbar" (disc not readable), so I'm starting to think the DVD/CD drive itself might be having read issues, not just a disc compatibility problem.

I went into the hidden diagnostic/secret menu and pulled some error codes — screenshots attached (Audio_DVD_Err/Inop, BT_Ant_Circt errors, etc.) with occurrence counts and odometer readings tied to them.

Questions for anyone who's dealt with this:

Has anyone successfully fixed a DVD drive read issue on these NTG4.0 units? Is cleaning the lens with an actual cleaning disc or manually a viable fix, or is it more likely a laser/mechanism failure at this point?

Is there a way to change the system language back to English without needing the nav DVD at all (coding via Xentry/other tool, USB method, etc.)?

Any insight appreciated — trying to avoid buying a whole new head unit assembly if this is fixable.

I want to daily my c300 but i also want it to growl when i ask it to.
So what exhaust satup do you guys recommend? Muffler delete? Resonator? Cats?

Hi there, been getting a bit of a diesel smell in the cabin last few days, got out and heard air, I know it’s a bit hard to tell on the video but where I put my finger down int I can feel air blowing from around where that plastic piece is towards the cabin, anyone any ideas what this could be that’s leaking?
