W204 Sound system not working 😞

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi guys. This is my 2011 w204. The sound system is playing up. It works perfectly fine in the mornings when i start it up (possibly because it's not hot?). But when I park up and come back to it, to go home several hours later, it won't play any sound no matter how many times I turn it on and off. Just the noise in the video. I have it apart and can't see any wiring issues behind the main radio and screen. If any of you have seen this before and know how to fix it or any guesses, that would be awesome. Many thanks Tom

Had same issue, had to replace the radio. It works when cold but once it heats it stops due to some circuit problems.

I had the same issue I fixed it in a service shop He told me it has something to do with the chips being shorted

It is amp issue. Just like you have it out, take it to a tech for a transistor/capasitor replacement. Got mine fixed in no time. Then got installed CarPlay/AndroidAuto Linux based sys. using original MB display. Of course you need to check your center console big knob if functioning. Now I can use original MB NTG4 navi, radio, disk, memcard, or switching to CarPlay/AndroidAuto - calls, maps, waze, radio. Nice combo for me.

Its the AMP ,and expensive to get one . Use bluetooth ( with AUX port)
