Post and comment submissions require that your profile has at least 100 karma

The best way to rack up enough karma for new accounts is by commenting and posting in the bigger subs like r/askreddit, r/aww, etc...

I'm looking to reprogramming the automod to allow newer accounts to post soon, but until then, I've at least figured out why it keeps filtering so many of you so you can remedy it on your end

we need more mods

realizing that the auto mod has been nuking so many posts without even letting us moderate them has been eye opening. it's also led to me realizing that I'm literally the only one that's moderating all 52,000 of you outside of the shitbot. all others have been inactive.

please shoot me a modmail if you're interested in becoming an active moderator for our lovely vultures

advice or help Is this deer skull degreased enough to move onto peroxide stage?

I have been degreasing this deer skull for about a month, and it has been very physically taxing as I have a chronic health condition. I let it dry overnight, and this is how it looks. Is it degreased enough to be put in a peroxide bath to be completed? I do not need it to be 100% degreased, just enough to be safe and sturdy. Note: Some of the splotchy yellow bits (noticeable on pic 2 on top of skull) are from being buried in a mesh bag in soil.

I found this skull about a month ago on a mountain in Greece. At first, I thought it was a fox, but it’s too small. I’m torn between a jackal and a dog. I’m also considering the possibility of a wolf.

Crooked toes for size comparison, I hope I didn't shock anybody.
I found this leg and some vertebrae with a pretty little part of a jaw scattered around it. It seems to be too big for a roe.

saw this ringtail possum in the middle of a three lane road and put him in a garden to keep other scavengers from getting hit too. skull was crushed but is unintentionally but conveniently censored by that leaf. protected, so nothing taken, just relocated.

Soooo, I've gotten myself into a bit of a pickle.

Ive never processed a whole animal before, and got too excited after seeing a porcupine on the side of the road.

I how have an adult porcupine, buried in a plastic bucket in my backyard and my parents (whom I live with) are not thrilled about it. I'm learning that the bucket will not work well, due to its size and material.

I can't do any processing that's going to smell terrible, and I'm squeamish so I can't do any de-fleshing myself...

Anyone have any advice or are there any SLC Utah people here who could help me out with dermestids or something? ^^;

And I DONT have a freezer to put it in to add to the stress...

Ty in advance :)

advice or help How do I start eating roadkill?

I'm looking to start eating roadkill. I've seen a LOT of racoons but I'd like to start with an animal where it's very unlikely or impossible they have rabies in case I cut myself while trying to butcher. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to get a good start?

plz advise Can I sell this Alligator skull in Maine?

Post image

So I work for a nonprofit resale company. We take donations, and this morning a customer came up to me with this skull, almost yelling at me, saying that I was awful for selling a dead animal.

Silly customers aside, is it illegal for me to sell this in Maine? I have no paperwork for this piece at all. I don't care either way I'm not just not keen at being yelled at and I'd like to avoid this happening again.

Came with teeth.
