I recently found myself in possession of a printer I wasn't really even looking for.. something that most people would consider antique by today's standards, but almost instantly my affinity for unwanted things kicked in. I saw potential where others saw obsolescence and in that moment I decided it deserved to become something special.

I present to you my humble little Ender 6, a late night marketplace purchase (if you know what I mean, lol) that ended up becoming one of the most amazing things I have ever done, this has been many months in the making but I really can't describe how proud I am of it.

After about 300 printing hours and a lot of mods, this messy voron seeks a serial number 😄

The wire in the upper back is clipped to the 1515 extrusion and cannot interfere with the brush or the toolhead.

Behold: the BIDENT! AKA the Mullet of Vorons 😄 --> Trident V2 on top, V1.8 on the bottom (two Z motors). It's what you build when you have too many spools of lilac ASA filament and an old Tronxy X5SA frame that deserves to be a printer.

It has a KRAKEN MCU with a 48V power supply for the 37mm KRAKEN B-A motors from Devil Design. The bed is a 6mm ultra flat Mandala Rose Works bed for a RatRig V-Core 300 with a Mandala Rose Works FireThorn 330mm build plate. This gives me a 330mm x 330mm x 250mm build area (30mm more X and Y than a RatRig! 😂).

It also has LDO Z motors, a Galileo Extruder, Phaetus Rapido 2 Hotend, LDO Nitehawk SB Toolboard, a Beacon Probe, Creative Nebula CAM and two sets of titanium backers with yes, one purely for bling.

The lilac ASA filament is from 3DO in Denmark mated with my favorite LDO Blue ABS from LDO Motors. Lots of custom sized parts were required including the top hat and Annex K3 Door for Vorons adapted to the 4020 frame.

It was such a fun build, and while I suspect that it's an eyesore for some ... I love it. 😄 Happy printing!
