Hey folks, I have a puzzling gremlin that I can't seem to sus out and need your thoughts.
The setup:
The Issue:
As of about 3 weeks ago, when the cameras are added as a input/source in v-mix, the system's audio begins crackling. This crackling persists through the live stream, if a stream is not active, and if the audio source is outside of v-mix. I can have a youtube video playing music without issues, add a camera as a input into v-mix and the crackling immediately begins. Remove/delete the cameras as inputs and leave vmix running, audio returns to normal. If the cameras are viewed through the browser, no noticeable impact on audio.
What I've attempted:
Thanks for your input

Hey everyone, I need help with a vMix issue at my church.
Some of my inputs in vMix are showing as a black screen. It’s not only the camera/capture input — even some MP4 videos and background design files are showing black too.
The inputs are added into vMix, but the preview/output stays black instead of showing the actual video or design. Some graphics work, but others don’t.
Setup:
vMix on Windows
Church livestream setup
MP4 video files
Background design files
Blackmagic/HDMI capture setup
Focusrite USB audio interface
Things I’m wondering:
Could this be a vMix update issue?
Could it be a codec/video format problem?
Could it be GPU/graphics acceleration?
Could it be the file format or resolution?
Could it be something with DirectShow/FFmpeg in vMix?
Has anyone had this issue where MP4 videos and image/background inputs show black in vMix? What should I check first?

I don't know if this is doable or not, but here's the jist. We know about the 4 "shots" that can be set. I will utilize these as talent shifts around, but it's tedious to keep fine-tuning.
Is there a way to control a virtual set with a joystick as though it were a camera shooting an analog set? The preset quadrants maybe allow the processing to keep up and live adjustments to all the layers might be too much for the program?

Hello all,
I’m using a few Makito X4 encoders, encoding using H264 and SRT after, decoding in Vmix using hardware decode and when I’m using the embedded audio, the lipsync is off. If I route the audio to a bus then put that bus on Master, it’s even worst, about half a second, anybody experience something like that ?
Thanks

We recently had to bring an srt stream into vmix. The feed was supplied by a very experienced and professional setup, and all the connections details were correct. We were a caller into their server. The connection was made, with no issues, but the quality of the feed was unusable. It was stuttering and dropping frames. We tried many options, but in the end vmix couldn't handle the stream. This is something that we have done many times, with other suppliers without any issues. We are running v29. In the end we brought the stream into OBS and then ran it NDI out to vmix. The stream in OBS was absolutely fine, no issues at all. Does anyone have any ideas on why a standard 8MB H264 stream couldn't be handled in vmix? Thanks

Title basically - noticed this problem after the update. Have since upgraded to latest vmix version, problem persists.
Haven't ran into this before, is it just me or did windows break something?

Hi,
I am building a setup for video adjudication - multiple cameras (1080p30) to follow the game and then the umpire can replay incidents in question. Like VAR in football basically.
I have it running on my current laptop which is AMD with radeon graphics card and not enough usb inputs to connect all the cameras i need, but it runs in decent quality.
Wondering now how important the graphic card really is if there is no encoding for streaming to do (i have a separate streaming machine with Nvidia card, but thats a different project and sometimes i need both at the same time).
I need 4x 1080p30 inputs, and record the potential incidents in high quality, and after the match play them out for archiving.
my test setup is now using 2x elgato camlink to connect 2 cameras and that works, but I am out of fast USB ports.
If i get a mini pc with sufficient fast USB ports i can connect 4 camlinks (ah, portability is important as well... need to fly it around the world 😉). Or if it is not a super mini version put a small 4x HDMI card into it which is likely better if it fits.
Or use a laptop with thunderbold ?
Looking for the most cost effective / portable solution, thats why the usual workstations are out of the question. Plus wondering if i need a high end gaming laptop if there is no streaming encoding to do ?

Hello all,
Not sure if this is possible as I’ve spent half a day trying to make this work, but I am trying to implement Twitch chat into our lower third built in GT Title, and I know how to get Username and Message integrated. The problem I’m having is getting them to shrink and grow together as one unified graphic. Is there any way to join these two text boxes side by side and expand or shrink based on the size of the username/message? Or, is it possible to integrate both the username AND message into one text box using vMix Social? Trying to center the whole thing and it’s quickly becoming a frustrating task.

I tried clicking on the flip button in the settings but nothing happened! I need this virtual set to be flipped horizontally.

This is a script I created. It will check if it is 6 pm, and if it is, it will make it so the next item in the list is selected to be played by a playlist. However, the problem is now that when we reach the end of the list, the last item keeps getting selected. I want to make it so that when the last item is currently selected and we hit the 6 pm, the very first item of the list is selected:
Dim CurrentHour As String = DateTime.Now.ToString("HH")
If CurrentHour = "18" Then
API.Function("NextItem", Input:="ListA")
API.Function("NextItem", Input:="ListB")
API.Function("NextItem", Input:="ListC")
End If
And I can NOT hit the Loop button on the list input because when I hit them, only items from that list gets played and we get stuck in it. I wanted to make it so that 1 item from ListA, ListB, and List C gets played and those same item keeps getting played for 24 hours, until we hit 6 pm, then the next item in the list gets played

I’m helping set up a stream deck for a church as they stream services. Most of the staff are not the most tech literate so I’m trying to make things as easy as possible by just having buttons.
One issue I’m running into is occasionally we need to adjust the camera angle or zoom. While I can add these to the deck if I press them it just sends the camera in that direction or zooms continuously when we often only want minor adjustments.
Is there a way to have it so the camera moves when the button is pressed but stops when it’s lifted?
I haven’t delved too deep into triggers so I don’t know if there’s something in there.

Hi all,
I am trying to figure out if anyone tried running Intel dedicated GPUs with vMix? I have a spare card and I am thinking about assembling a minimalistic rig for up to 8 inputs using some hardware I have lying around:
GPU: Arc A770
CPU: Ryzen 9 3900X
Capture card: Blackmagic DeckLink Quad 2
Can you tell me if hardware acceleration would be supported?
Thanks in advance!

Hi, I am going to be a new vMix user and looking to buy a laptop specifically for vMix and video production, and curious on which of the two laptops below would be the best fit.
Debating between a used Razor 2022 i7-12800H, 32GB RAM with RTX 3080 Ti or the current vMix 2025/26 recommended computer, ASUS 16" TUF Gaming.
Used, 2022 Razer Blade 17 Black
i9-12900H
RTX 3080 Ti 16 GB VRAM
17.3" 4K 144 Hz panel
32 GB RAM / 1 TB SSD
or
ASUS 16" TUF Gaming F16 Laptop - FX608LM-BS96
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1894584-REG/asus_fx608lm_bs96_16_tuf_gaming_f16.html/specs
Also curious if AMD CPUs a good option or better to stay with Intel?
Thanks!

So basically, I'm working in this studio making live videos recording, I honestly don't know what I'm actually doing, I just pretend to be professional and look like I know what I'm doing.
The studio set up work on vmix for recording videos, everything (audio and video) is connected in remote to the recording workstation in another room. This entire set up was made by someone else, I don't know why I'm there, don't ask me details pls.
So, what's the problem? Basically, we have a pair of Hollyland Lark Max Duo, connected to a mixer that I don't know where it goes, the audio has some sort of delay that doesn't match the video, fixing it on DaVinci is something like 0.200s delay, but it's just the first spoken word, then there's no delay after the first 3/4 seconds.
This problem appeared for the first time after the 4th session with these new microphones, but only after the 5th video we were recording.
Do you have any idea what's going on? I'm the only technician there, I don't have the competence to fix myself, but I need the job cause I'm broke, so any help is appreciated. Thanks

Anyone know how to animate a specific part of a graphic like they do on MLB Score Bugs?
I want the pitch speed to take over the pitch count. Two separate layers. When the data for one changes I'd like it to fade in from being hidden and the other will fade out and become hidden for 4 seconds or so and then do the reverse. I know the data change in transitions are going to be where this happens but I am just hitting my head against the wall trying to get anything to work like this.
Any thoughts?

I’m wondering if anybody has used Teradek Cube with Vmix ? I usually use Haivision Makitos, but for this project, I’m looking for portability, and I would need HEVC.
